MO Local Obituaries for the Week of September 24, 2014 Alyce Fay Huff Alyce Fay Huff of Bourbon, Missouri was born in Cuba, Missouri, on July 25, 1939, to Floyd and Agnes (Stevens) Chapman and passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2014, at the age of 75 years. She attended Union College where she graduated with a degree in secretarial science and a teaching certificate. On April 11, 1960, she married Joseph William Huff, with whom she had three children. While Alyce worked as a teacher and secretary during her early married years, she ultimately chose to be a mother and homemaker. She also devoted her time to the Bourbon Seventh-day Adventist Church and School where she managed the health food store, served as the school bookkeeper and held numerous offices within the church. Alyce loved to travel and to share new experiences with her children and grandchildren. During her later years, her greatest joys came from spending time with her four grandsons. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her love for family and for her deep love for Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Agnes Chapman; and daughter, Dawna Huff. She is survived by her son, Donald Huff and wife Kristan of Kettering, Ohio; daughter, Cheryl Kennison and husband Brandon of Tampa, Florida; four grandsons, Hayden, Broderick, Connor and William; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Leroy Lashlee Leroy Lashlee was born May 7, 1927 to Jesse T. and Edna Virginia (Tidmore) Lashlee and passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 3 days. Leroy was a barber in Cuba, Missouri for many years, a member of the Cuba Masonic Lodge, Cuba American Legion, a former schoolbus driver for over 10 years and Boy Scout Master. He had been active in the Fair Board and Lions Club. He married Marilyn Edwards on August 23, 1953 and to this union three children were born. He was proceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Virginia Lashlee; four brothers, Grover, James, Jesse and Joe Lashlee; one sister, Catherine Edwards and one son, James "Tom" Lashlee. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lashlee of the home; daughter, Saundra Latner of Cuba, Missouri; son, Joseph Lashlee; two grandchildren, Tabitha Tanner of Bourbon, Missouri and Richard "Rick" Wenkel and wife Kecia of North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Sarrena "Kattie" Tanner and James Hawkins; other relatives and friends. Charles Dorman Payne Charles Dorman Payne of Potosi, Missouri was born February 7, 1935 in Courtois, Missouri to Cleatis and Lena Bell Payne and passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the age of 79 years. He was united in marriage to Irene Lucille Payne and Arlene Schoneberg Payne, who both preceded him in death. He served our country honorably from 1957-1963 in the U.S. Army. Charles worked for Baldor Electric in St. Louis, Missouri and retired in 1996 after 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and going to Bluegrass Festivals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleatis and Lena Payne; his two wives, Irene and Arlene; two brothers, Karl Payne and Harold Payne and wife JoAnn; and two sisters, Verla Gibbs and husband Dale and Judy Turnbough. He is survived by his two daughters, Carol Reece and husband Shane of Festus, Missouri and Cindy Hollinsworth and companion Larry of Ft. Noah Abraham Pyatt Noah Abraham Pyatt of Cherryville, Missouri was born November 17, 1926 at Cherryville, Missouri to Daniel Washington and Cora Anderson Pyatt and passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 1 day. He married Juanita Wilkinson on November 3, 1946 in Davisville, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Noah served his country honorably from 1945-1946 in the U.S. Navy. He attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church and retired from Brown Shoe Company after 37 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, tinkering with small engines and loved dogs He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Cora Pyatt; four brothers, Esco Pyatt and wife Eula, Otto Pyatt and wife Martha, Lushen Pyatt and wife Alice and John Pyatt; five sisters, Della Dicus and husband Ray, Haley Tidwell and husband John, Nellie Galt and husband Homer, Irene Bryant and husband Willie and Thena Dotson and husband William; and granddaughter, Shelley Beth Gibbs. George Lee Stolte George Lee Stolte of Vichy, Missouri was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1923 to Walter and Mabel (Williams) Stolte and passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his home at the age of 91 years. George was united in marriage to Helen (Tandler) Stolte on March 25, 1945 and to this union two children were born. After retiring from his career as a auto mechanic, George and Helen decided to make their home in Vichy, Missouri, where they would spend the next 20 plus years. George was a very private person, but those that knew him appreciated his kindness and his interest in the Vichy community. He enjoyed reading, and watching old war movies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mabel Stole; his wife, Helen in March of 2011; and son, Norman Stolte. He is survived by his daughter, Roselia Hoyt and husband Tom of Lostan, Illinois; brother, Jack Stolte of Pennsylvania; special friends Dennis and Joyce Tipton of Vichy, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Angela Kay Vanderpool Angela Kay Vanderpool of Gerald, Missouri was born June 23, 1962 in Washington, Missouri and passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the age of 52 years. She enjoyed playing Dominos with family and friends. In her spare time she worked crossword puzzles and was a movie enthusiast. She was an animal lover and especially loved cats and dogs. Angela was preceded in death by her father, James Vanderpool; and her mother, Marian Vanderpool. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Vanderpool of Gerald, Missouri; one brother, Mark E.
