She first married Charles Dunning on June 9, 1962 in St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. Then married, Ronald Bates on October 30, 1984 in their home in Gerald, Missouri She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Clyde Southard; her parents, George and Laverna Stranghoener; her husband, Ronald; one brother, Virgil Stranghoener; and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Stranghoener. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Southard and special friend Keith Moore of Cuba, Missouri; son, Darrell Dunning and wife Bridget of Owensville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jacob Southard and wife Jessica, Eric Southard, Krystal Patterson and husband Josh, Ashley Dunning and special friend Adrian Perry and Andrew Dunning; seven great grandchildren, Canton Southard, Jackson Southard, Jasmine Patterson, Isabelle Patterson, Tianna Patterson, Aiden Patterson, and Grace Dunning; other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville, Missouri. Kenneth Joe "Kenny Joe" Brinkley Kenneth Joe "Kenny Joe" Brinkley of Jerome, Missouri was born Sunday, November 2, 1941 at Phelps County, Missouri to Ira and Josephine F. (nee Wagoner) Brinkley Jr. and passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Kenny Joe graduated from the Lucas High School in Lucas, Iowa. While living in Iowa Kenny Joe met Reba Hinkle. They were married December 7, 1960 at Farmington, Iowa. Kenny Joe was a truck driver for 30 plus years before he retired in 2001. He drove over two million miles without an accident. During his career he drove for Tom's Candy, Pepsi, Dodd Truck Line in Rolla, Missouri, Cheese Borough-Ponds in Jefferson City, Missouri and the last 20 years of his career he drove over the road for Cantex in Rolla, Missouri. After retiring Kenny Joe rode his four-wheeler around Jerome, so he could visit with all the residents. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the river and visiting with his other truck driver friends. Kenny Joe was a member of Apostolic Faith Church of Jerome for 54 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Josephine Brinkley Jr.; one sister, Margie Ann Brinkley; son-in-law, Keith Peterman; two sisters-in-law, Nina Coffee and infant Jessie Maxine Hinkle; and brother-in-law, Carl E. Hinkle. Vickie Gail Limpert Vickie Gail Limpert (nee Wills) was born on Wednesday, January 9, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles Franklin and Geraldine Mae (Moore) Wills and passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 11 days. Vickie accepted the Lord early in life and was a member of Gateway Christian Church in St. Louis, Missouri for many years. She later attended Rivers of Life Fellowship in Steelville, Missouri. She worked as a preschool teacher for 35 years, many of which were spent at Gateway Christian Church in St. Louis, Missouri and at Great Circle in St. James, Missouri. She enjoyed playing games such as bingo and Facebook games on her i-pad. She liked going to casinos and she especially loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Geraldine Wills; and sister, Sandra Jean (Eddie) Farris. She is survived by her daughter, Jaime (Robert John) Stout of Steelville, Missouri; sisters, Charlotte (Larry) Lynch of Wappapello, Missouri and Debra (Mike) Barbee of Steelville, Missouri; grandchildren, McKayla Limpert and Chase Stout, both of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Jeff and Lynn Reeves Jeff Reeves was born at Merced, California on September 19, 1963 to Donald and Helen (Dunlap) and Lynn (Nolden) Reeves was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 3, 1966 to Georgia Ann (Heggs) and Henry Albert Nolden. They passed away together on Monday, September 19, 2016 due to a motor vehicle accident near Ellington, Missouri at the ages of 53 years and 49 years, respectively. Lynn was raised in Overland, Missouri and graduated Ritenhour High School, Class of 1984. She later attended St. Louis Community College and attained an Associates of Arts Degree in Accounting and then attended Hickey Business School. At the age of 9nineLynn was baptized at First Baptist Church in Ferguson and enjoyed singing in the choir and attending church functions. Later in life she moved to the Cuba, Missouri area and in 2003 came to Bourbon, Missouri. She was employed five years as a school bus driver for the Bourbon School District and worked several years at the Hen House Restaurant. Most recently, Lynn was employed at On the Run Mobil in Bourbon, Missouri. Lynn was known as a fun loving individual who was giving and sharing and was a true "people person." She found pleasure in gardening, was an avid football fan and NASCAR enthusiast. Jeff was a graduate of Bourbon High School class of 1981 and was self-employed with Don Reeves Saw Mill. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. Jeff was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed motorcycling. He and Lynn would do everything together and would often take extended motorcycle rides. Lynn and Jeff married on April 3, 2013 in Steelville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Jimmy Summers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Painter. Lynn is survived by her son and daughter, Benjamin Berry of St. Louis, Missouri and Rachel Berry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-sons, Mike Summers and Tom Summers both of Bourbon, Missouri; mother, Georgia Nolden of Cuba, Missouri; father, Henry Nolden of the State of Georgia; parents-in-law, Donald and Helen Reeves of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Lena Ann Usery-Brown Lena Ann Usery-Brown of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, August 22, 1967 at St. Louis, Missouri to Ernest Alvin and Rachel (nee Anderson) Usery and passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the young age of 49 years. Lena attended Pattonville High School in St. Ann, Missouri and studied at UMSL (University Missouri St. Louis) for business. She continued her education, by taking many classes, to keep her certification in teaching Head Start. In her younger years she cheered for the "Big Red Line" cheerleaders for the St. Louis Cardinals Football Team, the "Blue Angels" cheerleaders for the St. Louis Blues Hockey Team and the "Steam Heat" cheerleaders for the St. Louis Steamers Soccer Team. Her family would go to the farm in Vichy, Missouri and Lena would spend hours riding horses. She enjoyed all music from the 1950's to current and she loved to sing along with the radio. Lena volunteered 15 years for the "Children's Miracle Network Telethon" that was held at Six Flags in St. Louis. Taking pictures, swimming, dancing, shopping, reading, going to the river and watching the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball were some of her favorite hobbies. From childhood until recent she would watch the "Wizard of Oz" every time it was on TV. On October 25, 2001 Lena met and fell in love with Shane Brown. Her entire life for the last 12 years has revolved around her children. Every day was a new adventure and everything was fun as long as they were together. They did crafts, daily actives and bedtime stories together every day. Lena would find a place they hadn't been and away they would go on a road trip and a new adventure. Lena had a smile that made everyone smile, a laugh that could fill a room, love for every child and adult she met. Lena worked for the Cuba Head Start for nine years before health rapidly began to decline. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Alvin Usery; and brother-in-law, Tony Brown. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Shane Brown of the home; two children, Shane M. and Melayna R. Brown of the home; mother, Rachel Usery of Bridgeton, Missouri; brother, Steve and wife Donna Usery of O'Fallon, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Lorado Brown, Nick and wife Marcia Brown and Cliff and Janie Brown, all of Wichita, Kansas; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Saturday, September 24, 2016 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Larry Machuga officiating. Special music was "Over the Rainbow," "Dancing Queen" and "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone." Cremation followed the funeral service.
