Beatrice B. Anderson
Beatrice B. Anderson of Sullivan, Missouri was born to Grover and Myrtle
(Clifford) Center in Arcadia, Missouri on October 14, 1925 and passed away
at her small country home in rural Sullivan on Friday, September 24, 2010
at the age of 84 years.
Bea spent most of her school years in the Sullivan area schools.
As a young woman, Bea devoted her life to Christ and has been a member of
Trinity Presbyterian Church, Union, Missouri, for the last five years.
Bea was a long time member of the Boone Creek Homemakers’ Extension Club and
the Sullivan Lions Club. Her life revolved around her family and she loved
to cook and care for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally Anderson, of Sullivan,
Missouri; her parents, Grover and Myrtel Center; brother, Virgil Center
of Steelville, Missouri; sister, Virginia Robinson of San Diego, California;
great great grandson, Connor Bailey; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by a son, Mark Wymer of Sullivan, Missouri; two daughters,
Carol Ann Stringer of Leasburg, Missouri, and Sue Koch and husband Stanley
of Sullivan, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two
great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 26, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. at the Eaton
Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010,
at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Union, Missouri, with interment in the
Koch Family Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri.

Wayne S. “Steve” Brown
Wayne S. “Steve” Brown of St. Louis, Missouri was born July 23, 1953 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Wayne O. and Thelma Mizell Brown and passed away
Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the age of 57 years.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Brown; children, Matthew (Lindsay) Brown
and Jennifer Brown (Bob Ford); grandchildren, Alexander, Lucas, Owen and
baby-to-be; sister, Mary McGuire; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the
Hope United Church of Christ, St. Louis, Missouri.
Robert Joseph Carnes
Robert Joseph Carnes, infant son of Robert Alan Carnes, Jr. and Brooke Ann
(Peters) Carnes passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Missouri
Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Delores Peters, Frances
and Joseph Nidiffer.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Jr. and Brooke Carnes; grandparents,
Dawn Coggins and Terry (Jim) Johnson, Joanna Mercer and Robert Alan
Carnes, Sr.; great grandparents, Charlie and Sharon Coggins, and Phyllis
Kelley and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Sunday,
September 26, 2010 in Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri with Pastor Linda
Aubuchon officiating.

Melania Kay Carson
Melania Kay Carson of Rolla, Missouri was born on May 11, 1961 in Rolla,
Missouri to Bob and Joan (Wilson) Carson and passed away Thursday,
September 23, 2010 at the age of 49 years.
She attended the Grace Fellowship Church in Rolla, Missouri.
Melania loved animals, especially her dogs, and she loved spending time
outdoors.
She is survived by her mother, Joan Carson of Rolla, Missouri; father,
Bob Carson and wife Patty of Nixa, Missouri; two sisters, Melinda Jo Carson
of Rolla, Missouri and Melissa Lynne Carson of Springfield, Missouri; niece,
Ruth Carson; one great nephew, Austin Carson; one great niece, Nikayla Angel
Lee; former brother-in-law, Mike Smith of Steelville, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Null
and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 with
pastor David Hagni officiating.

Daniel Ray Deaton
Daniel Ray Deaton of Bourbon, Missouri, was born on September 5, 1957 at
Saint Clair, Missouri to Albert and Lucille (Brown) Deaton and passed away
at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Wednesday,
September 22, 2010 at the age of 53 years.
He was known as a man who was kind hearted and would do anything for anyone.
He enjoyed hunting and camping, traveling and going to auctions. Daniel also
was an accomplished cook.
He was preceded in dath by his parents, Albert and Lucille Deaton; grandson,
Brayden Deaton and a brother, Paul Deaton.
He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Paul and husband Nathan of Bourbon,
Missouri; son, Ryan Deaton and wife Shannon of Bourbon, Missouri; two
grandchildren, Tyler Hansel and Carson Paul; three step grandchildren,
Blake, Aiden, and Preston Paul; four brothers, James, Albert and David
Deaton and Dougie Brown; three sisters, Mary Guitar, Judy Brown and Janet
Benton, step-sister, Rosie; other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday,
September 25, 2010 in Reedville Cemetery, rural Sullivan, Missouri, with
Pastor Connie Carrigan officiating.

Missouri.
Gail Griffin
Gail Griffin of Hillsdale, Indiana was born March 14, 1951 to Gene and
Helen Gregory Forester and passed away August 18, 2010 at St. Vincent
Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was a homemaker and was retired from Sony.
She was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma, Indiana.
On April 23, 1976 she married John Griffin in Brekenridge, Texas.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Cindy DaPron and one grandchild,
Jacob Thomas Speedy.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Helen Forester of Cuba, Missouri;
three daughters, Dr. Paula Market and husband Brian of Hillsdale, Indiana,
Danielle Speedy of Cloverdale, Indiana and friend Ken of Indianapolis,
Indiana and Denise (Bug) Griffin of Terre Haute, Indiana; four brothers,
William Swarnes, Fred Lee Swarnes and Harold Dale (Deter) Swarnes, all of
Missouri and Loren Swarnes of Arizona; grandchildren, Kevin Market, Abbigail
and RJ Speedy Avery and Hannah and Morgan Sparenberg.
Cremation was chosen.
Visitation was held at the Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma,
Indiana.
Memorial services were held with Rev. Keith McIntyre officiating.

Timothy Ray Horsefield
Timothy “Tim” Ray Horsefield of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday,
August 6, 1959 at Rolla, Missouri to Earl and Carolyn (nee Daily) Horsefield
and passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Rolla, Missouri at the age
of 51 years, 1 month and 19 days.
Tim owned Tim’s Tires in Cuba for many years before going to work in
construction and flooring. He spent the last several years working for
Meramec Electrical Products Company. Tim enjoyed hunting, classic rock music
but it had to be “Loud”, camping, being outdoors, four wheelers, four
wheeling, instant ice tea and he thought mowing grass was good therapy.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Horsefield; relatives and
friends.
He is survived by his wife Lisa (nee Nichols) Horsefield of Cuba, Missouri;
four children, Jeremy Horsefield of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Tiffany
and husband Mike Zerr of Overland Park, Kansas, Zane and Seth Horsefield
of Cuba, Missouri; three step sons, Matt and wife Amber Harris of Cuba,
Missouri, Phillip and wife Bree Harris of St. Joseph, Missouri and Nathan
Harris of St. Joseph, Missouri; parents, Earl and Carolyn Horsefield of
Cuba, Missouri; two grandchildren, Wyatt Horsefield and Wren Zerr; two
step grandchildren, Jade Rose Harris and Andrew Michael Hicks; brothers
and sisters, Daniel “Danny” and wife Stephanie Horsefield of Kansas City,
Missouri, Kathy and husband Dennis Greves of Cuba, Missouri, Barbara and
husband Vince Walk of Overland Park, Kansas, Theresa and husband John

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at the
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service.
Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010
at the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba, Missouri with Father James
Finder officiating.
Interment and prayers followed at the Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Fred Kissingler
Fred Kissingler was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 19, 1919 to Sam
and Yetta Kisslinger and passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010.
At the age of 10 months he contracted polio which left him with a paralyzed
left leg and he walked with a brace all his life.
He graduated from the Elias Michael School for Crippled Children and Ben
Blewitt High School in St. Louis before going to Missouri School of Mines
where he earned a BS in chemical engineering in 1942. Fred continued his
education at the University of Cincinnati where he, as a graduate assistant,
took care of metallurgy laboratory classes and studied metallurgy. He
obtained an MS in 1945 and a PhD in 1947. While in graduate school he met
Rhea I. Bond. They were married on April 15, 1945 and had two children,
David and Deborah. David was killed in an automobile accident shortly after
he graduated from Rolla High School in 1967. Fred and Rhea then adopted two
children, Danny and Bonnie.
He started his teaching career in September of 1947 at Illinois Institute
of Technology in Chicago. He did consulting work Gordon and Kisslinger.
In 1964 he transferred to the Missouri School of Mines. In 1990, he retired
from the MS&T faculty as emeritus professor of metallurgical engineering.
Fred enjoyed fishing, swimming and was a basketball fan at UMR.
He established three endowment funds: the Kisslinger Metallurgy Endowment
Fund at the University of Cincinnati and at MS&T, the Kisslinger Athletic
Endowment Fund and the Kisslinger Metallurgy Endowment Fund. He was a member
of the Order of the Golden Shillelagh and the Honory Coaches Club at MS&T.
He was also a member of the Baldwin Society at the University of Cincinnati.
He is survived by brothers, Daniel of Des Plaines, Illinois and Monty of
Manchester, Missouri; three children, Deborah Hogue of Yukon, Missouri,
Danny Kisslinger and Bonnie Moreland of St. James, Missouri; eight
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at
the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri. Interment was private at
Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Billy Dale “Red” Santhuff
Billy Dale “Red” Santhuff, of Piedmont, Missouri was born on January 3, 1933
at Redford, Missouri to Jesse Lyman and Mary Matilda Goodson Santhuff and
passed away September 10, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville,
Illinois at the age of 77 years.
He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Des Arc High School. He was
a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Air
Force between 1952 and 1956.
He loved to fish and enjoyed participating in fishing tournaments. He had
retired from Proctor and Gamble after 30 years of service. He also was a
concrete finisher in his spare time. For the last several years he labored
in the timber industry.
On August 20, 1954 he was united in marriage to Patsie “Pat” Moss at Des
Arc, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Lyman Santhuff; one sister,
Shirley Monroe and one half-sister, Barbara Kosa.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; his mother, Mary Lacey; one son, Billy D.
Santhuff, Jr. and his companion Sandi Webb; two daughters, Debra Lynn
(Mike) Hornung and Karen Susanne (Tim) Raney; two brothers, Bob (Lela)
Santhuff and Ron Santhuff; three sisters, Delores (Don) Goad, Loretta
Anderson and Joyce Bouse; two half-brothers, David Santhuff and George
Santhuff; two half-sisters, Shelby Santhuff and Doris Santhuff; six
grandchildren, Matthew Hendrix, Brian Hendrix, Timmy Raney, Courtney
Raney, Billy D. Santhuff III and Justine Santhuff; one great grandson,
Seth Hendrix; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held September 14, 2010 at the Ruegg Funeral Home in
Piedmont, Missouri with Pastor Elmo Parker officiating.
Pallbearers were Billy D. Santhuff III, Timmy Raney, Brian Hendrix, Matthew
Hendrix, Roger Ross and Willard Batton. Honorary pallbearer was Justin
Smith.
Burial was in the Price Cemetery, Redford, Missouri.

Missouri.
Tex R. Smith
Tex R. Smith of Bourbon, Missouri, was born on December 14, 1938 in
St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at his home on Saturday,
September 18, 2010 at the age of 71 years.
He honorably served his country in the US Navy. Tex worked nearly 30 years
for Alpha Cement before it closed and retired from the Sullivan School
System as a custodian.
He married Shirley nee Pack on July 8, 2003, and together they attended
Temple Baptist Church. Tex and Shirley made their home in the country where
he enjoyed a big garden, loved the animals, and built his log home and out
buildings. Tex always commented that he was born 100 years too late. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and shoeing horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rex Allen Smith and two
sisters, Brenda Sansouci and Beverly Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Bourbon, Missouri; children, Mark
Raeburn Smith and Jason J. Smith of Bourbon, Missouri, Julie Smith of
Piedmont, Missouri, Christy Nolie and husband Dennis of Sullivan, Missouri
and Matthew Bremmer of Bourbon, Missouri; siblings, Jim Smith and wife
Fontella of Bourbon, Missouri, Benny Smith and wife Vonita, Randy Smith,
Johnny Smith and Darlene Pashia and husband Charlie, all of St. Louis,
Missouri; brother-in-law, Charlie Sansouci; grandchildren, Blake, Makyla,
and Mason Smith, Jered, Delane, Titus, and Vanessa Nolie; other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010
at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.

Joseph A. Turner
Joseph A. Turner of Sullivan, Missouri was born on September 30, 1981 at
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Calvin Turner, Jr. and Tina (Brand) Hoke and
passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at the age of 28 years.
He was raised in the Pacific, Missouri area and moved to Sullivan, Missouri
eight years ago. He was a roofer by trade in commercial construction out
of Roofer’s Local #2 in St. Louis. Joe enjoyed baseball and was an avid
St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also taught and played softball with his
daughter, Berlin.
He is survived by his wife, Heather of the family home; one daughter,
Berlin Turner of the family home; his mother, Tina Hoke of Sullivan;
father, Calvin Turner, Jr. of the state of Oklahoma; one sister, Jennifer
Fuller of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Derek and Jacob Hoke, both of
Sullivan, Missouri; grandparents, Calvin and Louise Turner of the state of
Oklahoma, Ferne Gahr of Steelville, Missouri, Donald Brand of Owensville,
Missouri; step father, Earl Hoke of Sullivan, Missouri; step grandfather
Joseph Hoke of Sullivan, Missouri; step grandmother, Edna Harris of the
state of West Virginia; nieces, Madilyn Hoke of Sullivan and Isabelle
Fuller of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephew, Kiah Fuller of Cincinnati, Ohio; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until time
of services at 11 a.m. from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010
from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri with interment
in Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
