(Camp) Bujalo of Cuba, Missouri, was born on October 20, 1906 at Dexter, Missouri to the union of Alva Franklin Camp and Mary Alice (Manning) Camp and passed away on September 27, 2001 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 94 years 11 months and seven days. On April 26, 1930, Mabel was united in marriage to Martin Bujalo. They were happily married until Martin preceded her in death on April 28, 1984. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Cuba, Missouri and the Cuba Senior Center. Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her long time friend of 25 years Pauline Dulworth; nephews Carrol Camp and wife Phyllis, Gary Moore, Kenneth Camp and wife Veronica; nieces Karen Neff, Reverdy Martellaro and husband Peter and Revalee Camp; other relatives and friends. Mabel was a devoted wife, loving friend and aunt and will be sadly missed. Mabel A. (Camp) Bujalo was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri where funeral services were held on Monday, October 1, 2001 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Allen Teal and Rev. John Lloyd officiating. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Robert Joseph Hope Robert Joseph Hope of Rolla, Mo. was born on December 26, 1929 in St. Louis, Mo. to the union of Carl Hope and Camille (Reese) Hope and passed away on September 24, 2001 at the Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 28 days. Robert was united in marriage to Doris Jean Anderson in St. Louis, Mo. Five sons, Steve, Michael, Victor, Randy and Rick and one daughter, Connie, were born to this union. They were happily married until Doris preceded him in death on September 4, 1994. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his five sons Steve Hope, Michael Hope and special friend Debbie Steinhaur, Victor Hope and wife Debra, Randy Hope and Rick Hope and wife Dena; one daughter Connie Weigel and husband George; one brother Jack Hope; one sister Betty Martin; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Robert was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Robert Joseph Hope was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo. where funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rick Dablemont officiating. Jerry Carder Levingston Jerry Carder Levingston was born Sunday, June 20, 1943, a son of the late Floyd Levingston and Mary Elizabeth Levingston (nee Carder). He passed away Friday, September 21, 2001, in the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 1 day. On December 19, 1988, at Salem, Missouri, Jerry was united in marriage to Christine Louise Schulte. She preceded him in death, January 8, 1996, the result of an auto accident. He married Linda Marie Curley (nee Green), March 25, 2000, at the Winkler Baptist Church, St. James, Missouri. Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Linda Levingston of Route 2 Salem, Missouri; two sons, Jerry Carder Levingston, Jr. of Collinsville, Illinois and James Michael Levingston of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Julie Ann Levingston and special friend Aaron Brooks of Salem, Missouri; the mothers of his children, Lois Schoen of Collinsville, Illinois and Janet Petty of Salem, Missouri. Two step-sons, Chris Curley and wife Sheila, and Sean Curley and wife Angie all of Salem, Missouri; one step-daughter, Kelly and husband Todd White of Hebron, Kentucky; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sonny Green, Barbie and Alan Wofford, Charlotte and Ira Malone, Elizabeth and Ronald Land, Ross Green, and the late Jim Green and Joyce Nash all of Salem, Missouri. Juanita and Harold Williams of Springfield, Missouri, Gerry and Kathy Green of Plummer, Idaho, the late Charles Green and Glenda Green of Bolivar, Missouri; step-grandchildren, Emily Curley, Lydia Curley and Payton Curley all of Salem, Missouri, Taylor White and Connie White of Hebron, Kentucky; step-nieces, step-nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Jerry was founder and owner of Poly Systems, Inc., and Tucklisch Transportation, Inc., of Steelville, Missouri. Also, he owned and operated a large cattle farm in Dent County. Jerry was blessed with an insight and discerning ability to understand and analyze the most intricate mechanical and electrical engineering problems as they related to his manufacturing business. He designed and fabricated many of the complex devices needed in the manufacturing and assembling of polyethylene pipe products. He had several patents registered with the United States Patent office. Jerry Carder Levingston lay in state after 5 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2001, at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2001, in the Britton Chapel with Dr. Cardis Bryan officiating. Committal prayers and interment were in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Keith Beasley, Eugene Bunton, Charlie Newton, Frank Page, Bill Rich and Jim Weiss. Honorary pallbearers were R.J. Peters, Ron Rodemayer and Dwain Moses. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville. Elmo G. Montgomery Elmo G. Montgomery of Sullivan, Mo. passed away on Monday, September 24, 2001 at the age of 77 years. Mr. Montgomery was born on March 3, 1924 at Bismark, Mo. to Harry and Alta (Penberthy) Montgomery. On August 25, 1945 he was married to Bernice L. Queen at Potosi, Mo., and to this union three children were born. Elmo honorably served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army in the occupation forces of Japan. After the war, he became employed at the St. Joe Lead Mine until 1958, when he went to work at Pea Ridge Mine as a millwright. Elmo had made his home in Sullivan since 1963. He was a man whose family was important to him. He was very mechanically inclined, and therefore could fix almost anything. He loved music an enjoyed playing the guitar. He also liked playing pinochle and pitching horseshoes. Elmo was a member of Temple Baptist Church, and also a member of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class for which he taught at one time. He is survived by two sons, Billy Montgomery and wife Jean, and Terry Montgomery and wife Joyce, all of Sullivan; one daughter, Becky West and husband Greg, of Sullivan; two brothers, Leo and Jack Montgomery; six sisters, Virgiline Forinash, Fern Chamanick, Leotha Hardy, Frankie Conway, Ruby Dix and Norma Jean Hopp; seven grandchildren, Douglas Montgomery and wife Judy, Andrea Levinson and husband Alex, Michael and Steven Montgomery, and Cory, Nicole, and Christopher West; three great- grandchildren, Nathan Levinson, and Vinny and Grant Montgomery; one sister-in-law, Eunice Porter, a special brother-in-law, Edwin Queen and wife, Ruth, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with his parents and wife, Elmo was preceded in death by a sister, Almyra, and two brothers, Buss and Edmond. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2001 from the Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment was in Oddfellows Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Mo. Those who desire may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Music Department of Temple Baptist Church in memory of Elmo G. Montgomery. Wilma J. Wallace Wilma J. Wallace of Manchester, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2001 at the age of 87 years. Ms. Wallace was born on September 9, 1923 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Wilson and Lula (Gulley) Stricklin. She was raised in Harrisburg area, and baptized within the Baptist faith as a young adult. In 1961 Wilma moved to St. Louis County. She worked as a school bus driver for over ten years, and also as a domestic housekeeper for over twenty years. She especially loved to cook for her family, and also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and collecting curios. Wilma will be rememberd and cherished as a strong yet gentle woman, who was extremely loving and dedicated toward her children and extended family. She is survived by two sons, Terry Gibbs and wife Jan, of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Lindell Gibbs and wife Karen, of Bourbon, Missouri; one daughter, Carla Saltzman of Fenton, Missouri; one brother, Walter Stricklin of Harrisburg, Illinois; two sisters, Dorothy Reynolds of Edwardsville, Illinois and Denia McConnell of Harrisburg, Illinois; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, and several brothers and sisters, Wilma was preceded in death by one son, Mickey Joe Gibbs, and one granddaughter Gayle Lynne Gibbs. Funeral services were conduced at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2001 from the Eaton Chapel in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Mike King officiating. Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Bourbon and Sullivan. If desired, memorials may be given to the Leukemia Society of America in memory of Wilma Wallace.
