"Lucky" Crider of Belle, Missouri was born on March 15, 1952, in Belle, Missouri, to Willis Crider and Edna (Branson) Tyree and passed away Friday, September 26, 2014, at the age of 62 years. Mike attended school in Belle and was a lifelong resident. He proudly served our Armed Forces in the Army during Vietnam and served in the Army reserves following the war. He was honorably discharged in 1976. Mike was united in marriage to Marilyn (Gehlert) Frendell for a time and later married Cheryl Bacon. He was employed at the cabinet shop in Belle as a younger man but spent most of his life working as an independent truck driver. Mike was a classic car enthusiast and owned several throughout his life. Anything MOPAR was his favorite. He was a member of the GTA Car Club in Owensville, Missouri and enjoyed attending car shows. He loved drag racing and NASCAR, St. Louis Cardinal baseball and was a huge fan of Elvis. Mike accepted the Lord as his Savior and became very close to him the last few years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Edna Crider; one brother, John Tyree and one sister, Carol Ann. He is survived by three daughters, Kristen Neidert and her husband Bernie of St. James, Missouri, Amber Crider and her boyfriend Kenny of Bland, Missouri and Brandi Sullinger and her husband Kenny of Owensville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tanner Schroeder, Courtney Crider, Logan Schroeder, Von Brown, Levi Robertson and Braxtyn Crider; one great grandson on the way, Bryer Scott Schroeder; four brothers, Eddie Crider of Vienna, Missouri, Doug Crider of Canton, Oklahoma, Ronnie Tyree of Belle, Missouri and Don Tyree of Bland, Missouri; three sisters, Adatha Davis of Bland, Missouri, Pam Mitchell of Belle, Missouri and Jan Fleming of Ellisville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Sassmann's Chapel in Bland, Missouri. Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Sassmann's Chapel in Bland, Missouri with Mitchell Seaton officiating. Carol Doss of Bluffton, Ohio was born June 28, 1941 in Sullivan, Missouri, to Tracy and Elvie (Ridenour) Hardecke who preceded her in death and passed away September 30, 2014 at the age of 73 years. On November 1, 1958 she married Kenneth Doss Jr. Carol served as the finance administrator for New Life Assembly of God in Findlay, Ohio and previously was the director of Aunt Nanny's Preschool in Fostoria, Ohio. She was a member New Life Assembly of God in Findlay, Ohio where she was a Missionette leader, Sunday School teacher, usher, greeter and altar worker. She was an author of 125 unpublished manuscripts. Carol was a gifted vocalist and musician, sharing her talents with many. Her greatest joy was sharing her love for the Lord and the special times with family and friends. She was a wonderful spiritual leader to all of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Lowell (Lisa) Doss of Tipp City, Ohio and Marshall (Teressa) Doss of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Sharon) Hardecke of Steelville, Missouri; sister, Joanne Ray of Anderson, Indiana; step-brother, Gary (Alene) Allen of Nixa, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Charles "Hack" Haskel Lea Charles "Hack" Haskel Lea was born January 8, 1931 in Steelville, Missouri to Ross and Opal Clonts Lea and passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 21 days. On April 7, 1951 in Salem, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Etta Verniece Turnbough and to this union two children were born. For several years, Hack was owner of the Lea Feed Store and also had Lea's Auctioneer Services. He was an active member of the Steelville First Baptist Church and was Head Usher for over 30 years. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting goose and quail along with fishing. He and Verniece also enjoyed going to Bluegrass Festivals. In early years, Hack had a quarter horse, Blue Boy, that he showed in horse shows around the area and won many ribbons and trophies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Opal Lea; one brother, Bud Lea and wife Dottie; one sister, Matred Kehner and husband Leslie; brothers-in-law, Charles Counts, Richard Mager, Clarence Turnbough and wife Opal and Glen Turnbough and wife Jaunita; and sisters-in-law, Fran Guess and husband Frank and Polly Walden and husband Walter. Patricia Shirlene Parsons Patricia Shirlene Parsons of St. James, Missouri was born on November 20, 1964 to Doyle Pete and Shirley C. Gann Heuser and passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage to Douglas Parsons on July 1, 1988 in St. James, Missouri. She was a clerk in an office for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Shirley Gann Heuser; and one daughter, Dawn Schuchmann. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Parsons of St. James, Missouri; two sons, David Parrott and wife Amy of St. James, Missouri and Dereck Parsons and wife Amy of St. James, Missouri; one daughter, Kristie Lea Parsons of St. James, Missouri; three brothers, Billy Heuser and John Earl Heuser both of St. James, Missouri and James Heuser of Steelville, Missouri; and six grand- children. Pasch Steven A. Pasch of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, December 14, 1946 in Sullivan, Missouri to Henry Albert and Betty May Beezley Pasch and passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 18 days. Steven served his country honorably and retired after 20 years from the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War as an Engineman Chief Petty Officer. He later worked several years as a diesel mechanic and also was a school bus driver for Cuba Schools. He was a member of the Cuba American Legion #522 and DAV Meramec Valley Chapter 65. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap and skeet shooting, bird and bow hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty Pasch; brother, Don Pasch; and stepfather Herman Hughes. He is survived by his brothers, Floyd Pasch of Farmington, Missouri and John (Nancy) Pasch of St. Peters, Missouri; sisters, JoAnna Parker of St. Clair, Missouri, Linda Hughes and Shirley (John) Weber of Cuba, Missouri; sister-in-law, Donna (Jim) Walls of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Pennock of Eldon, Missouri was born on March 26, 1922 to Walter Daniel Pennock and Florence Ellen Jones in the Dowler Mill community near Bourbon, Missouri and passed away September 30, 2014 at the age of 92 years. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving from December 1942 until December 1945 in the European Theater, as a heavy machine gun squad leader in Company D, 376th Infantry Regiment of the 94th Division. He was part of these battles and campaigns: Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and Ardennes Campaigns. Decorations and Citations: 4 Bronze Service Stars for the preceding campaigns, Good Conduct Medal, 2 Bronze Stars. He was married in Salina, Kansas to Carmelleet Hendrix on July 17, 1943. After the war he was in residential construction at Steelville, Missouri until 1969 and then in construction in the Lake of the Ozarks area until 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Florence; one brother, Asa (Francis) Pennock; his in-laws, William Esmer and Pearl Nevada Hendrix; four brothers-in-law, Woodrow Bouse, Harry Harman, Jim Hendrix and Bill Hendrix; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Harman, Juanita Pennock and Linda Hendrix. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carmelleet of the home; two sons, Kermit (Shirley) and Keith (Ruth) of Eldon; one grand- daughter, Valerie (Curt) Evers of Jefferson City; three brothers, Ben of Steelville, Missouri, Paul (Mildred) of East Peoria Illinois and Norbert (Phyliss) of Bourbon, Missouri; two sisters, Bonnie Bouse of Bourbon, Missouri and Anita (Norman) Schmidt of Sullivan, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Glenda Hendrix of Park Hills, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. at the Eldon City Cemetery on October 3, 2014 with Chaplain Jeremy Caudel officiating. Kimberly Lynn Pilger Kimberly Lynn Pilger was born July 25, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 49 years. Kim was the daughter of Earl David and Patsy Pilger of St. James, Missouri. She was a 1983 graduate of John F. Hodge High School and 2011 graduate of Metro Business College. She is survived by her parents, Earl and Patsy Pilger; three children, Cherie, Damon and Keyshawn; one granddaughter, Hope; one brother, David; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Helen "Jean" Stevens Helen "Jean" Stevens, formerly of St. James, Missouri, was born July 11, 1934 in Nevada, Iowa to Paul and Helen (Ives) Stevens and passed away October 3, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Jean graduated from Montrose High School (Colorado) in 1952 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Southern California. After receiving her degree, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and began a 35-year career teaching music and 45-year career playing professionally. She was the principle oboist for the Marin Symphony and Santa Rosa Symphony, as well as many other organizations including the Carmel Bach Festival. Additionally, Jean co-started the Tucker Hill German Shepherd Dog Kennel, which became Covy Tucker Hill and produced the only German Shepherd to ever win the Westminster Dog Show. She was also a 4-H project leader for kids raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, California. Jean was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of the Year for Marin County in 1986. Jean moved to St. James, Missouri in 2001 and became the Music Director and Organist for the St. James United Methodist Church where she served until 2011. She was preceded in death are her parents, Paul and Helen Stevens; and half-brother, Wade Stevens. She is survived by her brother, Paul Stevens and wife Lydia of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister-in-law, Frankie Stevens of Springfield, Missouri; three nieces, Katherine and Elizabeth Stevens of Springfield, Missouri and Emily Stevens Brinker and husband Donald of Springfield, Missouri; one great nephew, Lucca Brinker; other relatives and friends.
