Beverly worked for many years as a waitress, for a country club, in Illinois and she retired for the Roxana School District, Roxana, Illinois as a cafeteria worker. She loved to play bingo, watch movies and go camping. Beverly and George enjoyed traveling after retirement and in 2010 they went up the east coast to Myrtle Beach, Pigeon Forge, New York and Maine before returning home. Beverly was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7147 Ladies Auxiliary and attended the First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri for the last six years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gladys Toenyes; and seven brothers and sisters. Alfred Vernon Cochran Alfred Vernon Cochran of Rolla, Missouri was born in Vichy, Missouri on July 16, 1929 to John B. and Louella (Hayes) Cochran and passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the age of 87 years. On December 14, 1949 he married Norma J. Roberts. Alfred retired from Holsum Bakery in Rolla, Missouri with 33 years of service. Among his interests were being an avid hunter and fisherman and spending precious time with his children and numerous grandchildren. He was also a big country music fan. he was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louella Cochran; wife, Norma on February 3, 2014; three sisters; two brothers; one grandson; and one granddaughter. Shirley retired from Meramec Industries, Sullivan, Missouri and later retiring from Mar-Bal Inc., Cuba, Missouri. She enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, gardening and cooking. The most important part of her life was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Roberta Young; husband, William N. Hall; one daughter, Brenda Talmadge; one brother, Harold Young, Jr.; one sister, Beulah Franklin; and two infant brothers. On May 2, 1959, in Leasburg, Missouri she was united in marriage to Charles W. Miller. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gerald, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, William Glen Miller; and brother, Wilbur Merritt. Powell of Leasburg, Missouri was born January 23, 1933 at Campbell, Missouri to Columbus and Luella (nee Crawley) Powell and passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Jack married Wanda Potter. on June 9, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas and to this union two sons were born. Several years later they adopted a son. Jack retired in 1969, after 16 years of dedicated service, from General Motors. He was a retired member of UAW Local #25. After retiring from GM, Jack went to work in the concrete business, then for an Electrical Supply Contractor and retired for a second time in 1995 after working many years for Don Gard Construction Company in Dexter, Missouri. During the years that Jack worked construction he built, from the ground up, nine houses. Jack could build anything out of wood from clocks to kitchen cabinets. Jack enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales and had a booth at the N2 Antique Store in Bourbon for many years. Jack had a green thumb and spent many hours working in his vegetable garden and flower beds. He raised worms and used their byproduct to fertilize his gardens. Jack was a perfectionist at everything he did. He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus and Luella Powell; two sons, David Powell and Derek Eaton; five brothers, William Reed and wife Naomi Powell, Coy and wife Sally Powell, Bob and wife Gladys Powell, Dean Powell and Glen Powell; sisters-in-law, Lucy Potter and Frances and husband James Pritchett; and brother-in-law, Elzie E. Protte of Bourbon, Missouri was born February 10, 1934 in Leasburg, Missouri to Bert and Bertha (Bryan) West and passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 82 years. She grew up and attended school at Possum Hollow. Edith was blessed with seven children. Over the years, Edith made lots of friends at the various places she worked in Bourbon, Missouri. Such places included, Green Short Stop, Mary's Cafˇ, Hen House and the Casual Inn. Edith eventually retired from Meramec Industries. Edith loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Having many friends meant so much to her also. Many of them called her "Mom" and "Grandma." She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Mallow; and George and Fred Halbert. Richard Peter Rodriguez Richard Peter Rodriguez of Steelville, Missouri was born on Friday, July 8, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Placido and Francis Lucy (Koseck) Rodriguez and passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 26 days. Richard married Geraldine Johnston on May 13, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1952 through 1954 during the Korean War. He worked as a Public Service Worker in the Water Department of the City of St. Louis Utilities. He was a member of South Broadway Athletic Club and "The Pirates." He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and his antiques. He had his own antiques room. He was preceded in death by his parents, Placido and Francis Rodriguez; sons, Dennis Johnston and Benny Stephen Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Beatrice Rodriguez; brothers, Sidro Rodriguez and Jesse (Fern) Rodriguez; and sisters, Gloria Bader and Delores (Edward) Plunkett.
