Edward J. Boero
Edward J. Boero, mayor of Bourbon, Missouri passed away
on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the age of 68 years.
Ed was born on May 24, 1938 in Hartford, Connecticut to
Edward Anthony and Mary Antionette (nee Palotico) Boero. He was
united in marriage to Rita Goevert on August 10, 1963 in St. Louis,
Missouri.
Ed was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He was
a Private First Class in the Army National Guard of Connecticut. He
came to St. Louis to attend Bailey Technical School. He was a heavy
equipment mechanic for 32 years with his retirement from the field
being with Vernaci Construction in Washington, Missouri.
He was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles
Arie #4307, serving in numerous capacities. Ed was a Knight in the
4th degree of the Knights of Columbus in Sullivan, Missouri, where
he served as treasurer and was an extremely active member of the St.
Anthony Parish. He also felt it was necessary to play an active role
in his community where he served as mayor during the 80s and again
since April of 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents;
mother-in-law, Rose Goevert Krueger; father-in-law, Paul K. Goevert;
and step father-in-law, George Krueger.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Boero; one son, Tony
Boero and wife Cathy; three daughters, Tami Bobbitt and husband
Randy, Traci Courtouise and husband Doug, all of Bourbon, Missouri
and Terri Rowden and husband Chuck of Leasburg, Missouri; nine
beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Tara and Tori Bobbitt, Drew and
Mackenzie Courtouise, Maria Boero, Tori Rowden, Anthony and Bam Bam
Gibson.
One sister, Beverly Murphy; two nieces of the state of
Connecticut; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Brinegar; one
brother-in-law, Paul Goevert and wife Shelly; two nieces, Shelly
Sewell and husband Rob and Angie Black and husband Rich; two
nephews, Gordon and Sam Govert, all of St. Louis, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on
Friday, October 6, 2006 from Saint Anthony Catholic Church in
Sullivan, Missouri with Father Dennis Zacheis officiating. Interment
was in Saint Anthony Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral
Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Joshua Daniels Dunn
Joshua Daniels Dunn, infant son of Latisha Crystal
Brown and Michael Wayne Dunn Jr., passed away Wednesday, September
27, 2006 at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri.
Besides his parents, Joshua is survived by his paternal
grandparents, Michael Wayne Dunn Sr. and Karen Dunn; maternal
grandmother, Marsha Gann and great grandmother, Betty Gaino; five
aunts, Barbara Jean Ash, Mariah Olsen, Heather Dunn, Ashley Dunn and
Cora Becker; one uncle Mathew Ash.
Memorial services for Joshua Dunn were held Thursday
evening, October 5, 2006 in the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with
Cindy Martin officiating.
Special music of "Jesus Loves Me" and "All Day All
Night" were sung by Darla Vance.
The family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral
home of Steelville, Missouri.
Mary C. LaCour
Mary Cornelia Freeman LaCour of Cuba, Missouri was born
in Itasca, Illinois to Frank Jerome Freeman and Cornelia Haunstrup
Freeman. She passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2006.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her sons, Carl
Krockenberger and wife Polly of Indianapolis, Indiana, George
Krockenberger of Arnold, Missouri, Frank Krockenberger and wife
Beverly of St. Louis, Missouri and Charlie Krockenberger and wife
Stacey of Hillsboro, Missouri.
Brothers, John Freeman and wife Jackie of Webster
Groves, Missouri and Pete Freeman and wife Carolyn of Alexandria,
Virginia; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in St.
Louis, Missouri.
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Harry A. Simpson
Harry A. Simpson, born on May 22, 1947 and passed away
Saturday, September 30, 2006.
Beloved husband of Carolyne Simpson; dear father of
Harry A. "Sonny" Simpson Jr. (Angel Crain); dear grandfather of
Autumn Simpson, Ray Agoras, Amanda Crain and Alexis Steiniger; dear
brother of Lillie (Ray) Sanborn, Fern (Roger) Hanmer, Bill (Beth
Ann) Simpson and the last Austin "Bud" (Shirley Weseloh) Simpson;
dear brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend.
Harry served our country in the Army during the Vietnam
War. He was a member of Thomas-Boothe American Legion Post No. 338,
Maryland Heights VFW Post No.6211 and Alton Eagles FOE Lodge No.
254.
Visitation was Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 6-8 p.m.
at Baumann Colonial Chapel in Overland, Missouri with the 10th
District Guard of Honor and memorial service at 8 p.m. Private
interment.
