Harold Bacon
Harold Russell Bacon, 88, of Owensville, Missouri, died
Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Frene Valley Healthcare South,
Owensville, Missouri.
He was born February 14, 1917 in Red Bird to the late
Stephen and Clara Steen Bacon. He served in the U.S. Army during
WWII.
On July 14, 1944 he married Mildred Lacy at Rolla,
Missouri. He belonged to VFW Post 6133 and worked for 27 years as a
welder for Allied Chemical in Owensville in addition to farming.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister Gertha
Bandy, a brother Raymond Bacon and a step great granddaughter
Brittany.
Surviving him are his sons, Harold Bacon Jr. and wife
Sharon, Roger Bacon and wife Sheila, all of Owensville, Missouri;
Ronald Bacon and wife Bonnie of Cuba, Missouri; Darn Bacon and
fiancée Cheryl Mitchell of Belle, Missouri.
Daughters Marilyn Glaser and husband Gary of Owensville,
Missouri and Janet Bossaller and friend Charlie of Rolla, Missouri.
A sister Ruth Nelson of Owensville, Missouri; a sister-in-law of
Marie Jenkins of Sullivan, Missouri; 16 grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 5, 2005 at the
Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville, Missouri with Patrick
Singleton officiating.
Interment was in the Countryside Memorial Gardens in
Owensville, Missouri.
Nancy Lois Barton
Nancy Lois Barton of Park Hills, Missouri passed away
Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at her home at the age of 54.
Mrs. Barton was born April 21, 1951 at Bonne Terre,
Missouri.
She was a member of the Solid Rock Fellowship Church in
Farmington, Missouri and was involved in her church. She was a
loving, caring mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and
Vernie Roberts Ballard; a daughter Kimberly Barton, three
grandchildren Amber, Ashley and Timothy Barton; three sisters
Patricia Hulsey, Pauline Steinc and Corine Powers.
She is survived by three sons Grover C. Barton and wife
Kathy of Bixby, Timothy I. Barton and wife Shelley of Steelville,
and Bryan Barton of Desloge; two daughters Debra Kean of St. Clair,
and Diana (Mrs. Jimmy) Smith of Desloge; 18 grandchildren, and three
brothers Jerry Ballard and wife Evie of Texas, Joe Ballard of
Sandoval, Illinois and Jimmy Ballard and wife Sue of Hallsville.
Visitation was Friday, October 7 at 5 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer
and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood.
The funeral service was Saturday, October 8 at 11 a.m.
at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Leadwood with Rev. Darrell
Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery.
Billy Wayne Ryerson
Billy Wayne Ryerson, Steelville, Missouri was born
Wednesday, March 18, 1953 in Bourbon, Missouri, a son of Russell
Earl Ryerson and Anne Margaret Ryerson (Harper).
He passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the University
of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri at the age of 52
years, 6 months and 14 days after a short battle with lung cancer.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his
parents, Rev. Russell and Anne Ryerson of Cuba, Missouri; two sons,
Shane Ryerson of Cherryville, Missouri and Shawn Ryerson of
Steelville, Missouri; two daughters Shajuana and husband Dennis
Simpson Jr. of Cherryville, Missouri, Shanna and husband Sam Setzer
of Steelville, Missouri.
Four brothers, Russell Ryerson and wife Roberta of
Illinois, Richard Ryerson and wife Ellen (mother of Shane, Shawn,
Shajuana, and Shanna) of Cherryville, Missouri, Vernon Ryerson and
wife Esther and Timothy Ryerson and wife Jeanne all of Cuba,
Missouri.
Four sisters, Betty Ryerson, Margaret Ryerson, and Velma
Humphrey all of Cuba, Missouri, and Rose Ryerson of Potosi,
Missouri; 13 grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and many friends.
Billy Wayne Ryerson lay in state 10 a.m. until time of
service Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October
6, 2005 in the Britton Chapel. Rev. Jerry Beers officiated, with
Clarence Garrison, Rev. Gene Rawls, and Rev. Jimmie Louis sharing in
the officiating duties. Musical selections were provided by Jerry
Beers.
Committal prayers and interment were in the Oak Hill
Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Serving as pallbearers were Shane Ryerson, Shawn
Ryerson, Richard Ryerson, Shawn Ryerson Jr., Sam Setzer, Dennis
Simpson, Jesse Hemby and Treffie Harper.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Britton Bros.
Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri.
