Glendal "Glen" "Fudd" Wayne Eaton Glendal "Glen" "Fudd" Wayne Eaton of Steelville, Missouri was born December 7, 1936 in Keysville, Missouri to Harry "Bud" and Missouri Marie Marler Eaton and passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 29 days. Glen was united in married on September 23, 1962 in Steelville, Missouri to Sharon L. Trudeau and to this union three children were born. Glen served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1963 and served in the Army National Guard from 1978 to 1985. He worked several years for the Missouri Department of Transportation and retired in 1997. He was an active member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Steelville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marie Eaton; and infant brother, Edward Eaton. Donna Marie Hankey Donna Marie Hankey of St. James, Missouri was born on April 26, 1946 to Arthur and Inez Saladin Kulp in Rolla, Missouri and passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to Ralph Hankey on September 8, 1942 in St. James, Missouri when she was 16 years old. Donna was a quiet loving person. She loved to garden and loved working with her flowers. She was a hard working person, if she was not in her garden she was helping on the farm. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Inez Kulp; one brother, Arthur Kulp; and one sister, Joan Schroyer. Edna Irene Hoevelman Edna Irene Hoevelman of Sullivan, Missouri was born in the Spring Bluff community near Sullivan, Missouri on October 12, 1926 to Arvil and Pearl (Bailey) Bandy and passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 22 days. For around 20 years she lived in St. Louis, Missouri until moving back to Sullivan, Missouri in 1975. She was a long-time employee of the former Davis Shoe Store in Sullivan as a sales person. She was known to be a very personable lady and enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church which was a dominate part of her life. Edna was also a member of the Spring Bluff Extension Club. On March 10, 1945 she married Robert Hoevelman at Union, Missouri and to this marriage two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Pearl Bandy; her husband, Robert in August of 2011; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Holt. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Hoevelman and wife Ina of Springfield, Missouri and Daniel Hoevelman and wife Suzanne of Leslie, Missouri; a brother, Carl Bandy and wife Pasty of Leslie, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Holt of Bourbon, Missouri, Shirley Schmidt and husband Neil of Leslie, Missouri and Judy Turilli and husband Lester of Chesterfield, Missouri; three grandsons; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Richard married Diane Hanks on December 17, 1976 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union a son was born and a daughter was gained. Richard accepted the Lord at a young age and attended Elayer Pentecostal Church. He owned his own car detail shop in St. Louis, Missouri where he worked for many years. He enjoyed fishing, collecting die cast cars, attending car shows and loved his family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurston and Pearl Hogan; wife, Diane Hogan; and brother, Don Hogan. She married Ronald Kulp in 1961 and to this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Olen Wilhite; brother, Olen Wilhite and granddaughter, Castin Ellis. Private services will be held for the family. Verla L. Morrison Verla L. Morrison of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on September 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Morrison. They lived in Steelville, Missouri before his passing in 1981. She is survived by her two sisters, Vada Elliott and Betty Williamson, both of Missouri. Verla and Kenneth had three children, Darlene (Sue) Callahan, who passed away in 2012; Gary K. Morrison (wife Carol) of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Bruce E. Morrison (wife Dorothy) who reside in Florida; grandchildren, Lisa Scott, Gregory Morrison, Heath Callahan, Jennifer, Crystal and Kenneth Morrison; many great grandchildren; great granddaughter, Jessica Evans, husband Taylor and their daughter, Aria, resided with her recently; other relatives and friends. Verla will be buried in the Freeman Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri in Memorial details will be provided at a later date. Albert J. Nilges Representative Albert J. Nilges of Jefferson City, Missouri was born March 14, 1929 in Linn, Missouri to Fred, Sr. and Lena Voss Nilges and passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the age of 85 years. He was raised in Linn, Missouri and was a 1947 graduate of Linn High School. He married Dorothy Ann Knoerr on April 18, 1949 in Linn, Missouri and they had four children. He served in the US Air Force from 1948 until honorably discharged in 1952. During his years of service, Al was stationed in Guam as a Radio Operator during the Korean Conflict. After he was discharged from the Air Force, Al was employed with the Missouri Highway Patrol as a Radio Operator in Troop F for eight years. He later moved to Bourbon, Missouri where he became owner of a Western Auto Store and lived in Bourbon, Missouri for over 30 years. Al became interested in politics. Representative Nilges was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1972, representing the 109th District, (Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties). He served nine terms as a Democratic representative and during that time he was chairman of the House Budget Committee, chairman of the State Banking Board, chairman of the Mo. Division of Youth Services, chairman of the Social Services Committee, worked on Legislative Research and Governmental Review and served on the Mines and Mining Committee. After retirement in 1992 from his political career, Al lived at the Lake of the Ozarks and Jefferson City, Missouri. He married Joyce Wyatt Owens on November 27, 1993 in Jefferson City and became part of her four children's lives. Al was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn, Missouri and St. Francis Catholic Church in Bourbon, Missouri. He served as a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 81 in Bourbon, Missouri and as a past president of the Bourbon Board of Education. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed traveling with Joyce in their R.V. and flying his two planes. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene Nilges and Raymond Nilges; and sister, Judy Kaullen. Everett Eugene Underwood Everett Eugene Underwood of St. James, Missouri was born on April 5, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Borden and Naomi Gibbons Underwood and passed Friday, October 3, 2014 at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 28 days. He married Beverly Gail Bullock in the First Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri in 1951. He retired as a computer logistics specialist with the federal government. Gene was very community and civic minded. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. James and helped deliver meals to the homebound for the Golden Age Center. He was a veteran and served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. Gene helped with obtaining and refurbishing the Friendship School House Building for the American Legion Post 607 in St. James. He was preceded in death by his parents, Borden Underwood and Naomi Vetter Underwood on March 31, 1998; and one brother, Bernard Leland Underwood who passed away in June 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gail Bullock Underwood; one son, Gary Underwood and wife Linda of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; one daughter, Lisa Livingstone of St. James, Missouri; sister-in-law, Virginia Underwood of St. James, Missouri; three grandchildren, Corey Underwood, Kayce Deshotels and Kelly Underwood; 11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Clyde John Weirich Clyde John Weirich of St. James, Missouri was born September 2, 1933 at Washington, Missouri to Clyde E. and Nora (nee Shipley) Weirich and passed on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Clyde served in the US Army from April 1953 till March 1955 during the Korean War. After his service he was a driver for Holsum Bread serving the mid-Missouri area. Later, he was the owner/operator of Weirich's Cafˇ in Gerald, Missouri and Kerr-McGee service station in Jefferson City, Missouri. Clyde retired from Crawford County after spending several years working for the road district. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and watching John Wayne movies with friends and family. After retiring he spent hours at his farm, fishing and hunting. His large pond was full of catfish and the family gathered there to fish, have cookouts and spend hours together. Clyde moved to the Missouri Veterans Home in October of 2008 where he made many new friends and spent time playing Bingo, talking and drinking coffee with other veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nora Weirich; one grandson, Chad Fleischmann; five sisters, Leona Halley, Alice Weirich, Ida Mae Shultz, Dorothy Portell and Kathryn Weirich. He is survived by three sons and three daughters (the children of Clyde and Pearl (Bascom) Weirich), Rebecca and husband Virgil Plassmeyer of Holts Summit, Missouri, Kevin Weirich of Wainwright, Missouri, Stephanie and husband Randy Adrian of Holts Summit, Missouri, Carla Weirich of New Bloomfield, Missouri, Bryan and wife Rhonda Weirich of Jefferson City, Missouri and Chester Daniel and wife Shanna Weirich of Jefferson City, Missouri; nine grand- children; six great grandchildren; one brother, Jack and wife Colleen Weirich of Sweet Home, Oregon; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Weaks of St. Louis, Missouri and Florence Wisniewski of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
