Patricia Ann Arrow of Rolla, Missouri was born on June 26, 1937 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Jesse and Gertrude (Merseal) Rice and passed
away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Phelps County Regional Medical
Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 18 days
of age.
Patricia worked at school as a custodian and in the kitchen for many
years. She worked at the church for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gertrude (Merseal)
Rice and three brothers, Walter, Charles and Chester Rice.
She is survived by her companion, Bob Arrow of St. James, Missouri; four
sons, David Pound Sr. and wife Colene of Edgar Springs, Missouri, William
Pound of Rolla, Missouri, Richard Pound of St. Louis, Missouri and Daniel
Pound and wife Brenda of Rolla, Missouri; one daughter, Deborah Kemper
and husband Richard of Newburg, Missouri; one sister, Brenda Bollinger and
husband Ted of Pittsburg, Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great grand-
children; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 18, 2010 from, 6-8 p.m. at the
Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11 a.m.
at the St. James Christian Church in St. James, Missouri with Aaron
Jeffers officiating.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Joe Wayne Bobbitt
Joe Wayne Bobbitt of Cherryville, Missouri was born December 18, 1930 at
Davisville, Missouri to Albert Lee and Gertrude (Callahan) Bobbitt and
passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville,
Missouri at the age of 79 years.
He was united in marriage to Dixie Elois Turnbough on December 7, 1981
in Salem, Missouri.
Joe served in the U.S. Marines. He retired from Amax Lead Co. after 17
years.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to listen
and play bluegrass music on his musical instrument, the dobro, and also
would build dobros in his spare time. He always enjoyed gardening and was
proud of the large pumpkins he harvested.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gertrude Bobbitt; two
brothers, Louie Bobbitt and wife Carolyn and Jack Bobbitt; two sisters,
Marie Vaughn and husband Ralph and Betty Bryant and brothers-in-law,
Everett Tabor, Gary Turnbough and Gerry Langley.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie of the home; one son, Joseph Bobbitt of
Kennett, Missouri; five daughters, Sherri Baltimore and special friend Roy
of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Darla Brooks and husband Kelly, Vicki Pitts and
husband Brad and Frannie Evans and husband Daniel all of Kennett, Missouri
and Donna Adams and husband Scott; two step-sons, Steve England and Stacey
England, both of Cherryville, Missouri; one brother, Jim Bobbitt and wife
Gina of Salem, Missouri; three sisters, Loraine Pinnel and husband James
of Washington, Missouri, Bonnie Langley of Steelville, Missouri and

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Daniel
Evans officiating. Special music was provided by his children.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Cherryville Baptist Church
Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Logan Brooks, Jordon Lack, Andrew Evans, Johnny
Brooks, Sr., Johnny Brooks, Jr., Adams Brooks, Steve England and Stacey
England.

Arch Finley Boggess
Arch Finley Boggess of Steelville, Missouri was born on March 16, 1913 to
Dixie Frank Boggess, Sr. and Bertie Mae Ashley Boggess in Meigs Co.,
Tennessee and passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Phelps County
Regional Medical Center at the age of 97 years.
Arch married Pearl Elizabeth Hill in Decatur, Tennessee on January 19, 1934
and to this union five children were born.
Pearl passed away in 1979 and Arch later married Hattie Richmond in
Memphis, Texas.
He was one of the first workers to be hired for the Civilian Conservation
Corps (CCC) in Tennessee. He later moved to Tulia, Texas where he was a
rancher and farmer. He then worked there for 30 years and retired from
Swisher Gas Co. where he earned several distinguished safe-driving awards.
He also owned and operated a mobile home park for several years. His
hobbies were scuba diving, fishing, camping, woodworking and listening to
blue grass music. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Tulia,
Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dixie and Bertie Boggess; wife,
Pearl; daughter, Dessie Louise Ray; son-in-law, David Armontrout; daughter-
in-law, Lottie Boggess; one sister and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife Hattie Boggess of Nevada, Missouri; children,
Joe (Shirley) Boggess of Plato, Missouri, Dixie Frank Boggess III of
Anchorage, Alaska, Shirley Armontrout of Tulia, Texas, Jeri (Wyatt) Harmon
of Temple, Texas and Venita (Tom) Yengel of St. Louis, Missouri; son-in-law,
Gene Ray of Cuba, Missouri; stepchildren, Frankie Richmond of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, Ike (Vicky) Richmond and Jake Richmond of Nevada, Missouri;

Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Bohnenkamp
Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Bohnenkamp of Cherryville, Missouri was born
January 8, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Homer and Dorothy (Smith)
Townsley and passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her home at the
age of 67 years.
On Sept. 14, 1982, she was united in marriage to Richard Thomas Bohnenkamp
who preceded her in death on September 25, 2009.
Dottie was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Steelville. She
enjoyed bowling and was in a Steelville league for many years. She was a
member of the Missouri Extension Club, Country Gals for 27 years and
enjoyed traveling with them. Most of all she loved her family and always
had a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Dorothy Townsley; her
husband, Rich; one brother, Denny Townsley and one sister, Mary
Wenzelburger.
She is survived by her sons, Dan Bohnenkamp of St. Charles, Missouri, Mike
Bohnenkamp of O’Fallon, Missouri, Robert Evans of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark
Evans and wife Rosa of Rolla, Missouri and Steve Evans and wife Sheila of
Cherryville, Missouri; one daughter, Diana Lea and husband Rick of Cuba,
Missouri; three brothers, Gary Townsley of Iowa, Homer and Mike Townsley
of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Portell of St. Louis, Missouri;
14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Catholic Church in Steelville, Missouri with Father James Finder officiating.
Reading of the scriptures was by Elaine Edwards. Music was played by organist
Delores Bell. Serving at the altar were Jake and Joe Howdeshell.

Bettye Jean Cantrell
Bettye Jean Cantrell was born on November 22, 1927 to Belvard A. and Maxine
(Crydar) Arnette in Sperry, Oklahoma and passed away at the Missouri Baptist
Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri
Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 22 days.
On August 23, 1943 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bettye was united in marriage to
Clinton Cantrell.
Bettye was a homemaker and loved doing for her family. Bettye and Clinton
were married 46 years. She loved life. She always had a gentle smile and a
big hug when she greeted you.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Belvard A. and Maxine Arnette;
husband, Clinton Cantrell; two brothers, Johnny and Belvard Arnette and two
sisters, Merilee Moss and Tiny Medlock.
She is survived by one son, Chuck Cantrell and wife Sherry of St. James,
Missouri; three daughters, Jeanne Rackley and husband Bob of St. James,
Missouri, Bonnie Ecker and husband Kenny of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Janet
Thompson and husband Jack of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; an extra special friend,
Arlys Krawiecki and husband Sam of St. James, Missouri; two brothers, Paul
Arnette and wife Jeannetta of Duncan, Oklahoma and Orvis Arnett of
Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and two
great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the
Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Mick Thrasher
officiating.
Pallbearers were Chris Rackley, Randy Rackley, Josh Cantrell, Clinton
Cantrell, Zack Cantrell, Terry Morgan and Victor Barnhardt with honorary
pallbearers Jeremy Buie, Jeremy Barnhardt, Robbie Bernhardt and Jake

Burial was in the family plot in the Oak Forest Cemetery in rural St. James,
Missouri.

Joe Carl Clonts
Joe Carl Clonts of Sullivan, Missouri was born on July 13 1937 at Steel-
ville, Missouri to Jesse and Muriel (Huitt) Clonts and passed away
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the age of 73 years.
He was raised and later graduated high school there and in 1960 moved to
the Sullivan area.
On August 24, 1957 Joe was married to Carol Miller at Bourbon, Missouri
and to this marriage four children were born.
Joe enjoyed sports and played for various town leagues in Sullivan and was
also a Khoury League coach for several baseball teams throughout the years.
Joe was employed as a salesman with various companies and was fond of
woodworking in his spare time. He also enjoyed a good laugh and telling
jokes. In his early years, Joe was baptized into the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Carol nee Miller of the family home; one son,
Kerry Clonts of Stanwood, Washington; three daughters, Kelly Siess and
husband Urban of St. Clair, Missouri, Kandy Bittle and husband Charles of
Fredericktown, Missouri and Kim Green of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers, Eddie
Clonts and wife Carol of Washington, Missouri and Gary Clonts and wife Patsy
of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Hutson and husband Sid of Cuba,
Missouri and Janet Kirby of Lebanon, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 12 great
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday,
October 10, 2010 from the Southside Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in
Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. It was Joe’s desire that he
be cremated.

Wilma Earls
Wilma Earls (nee Cape) of Steelville, Missouri was born June 27, 1918 in
Steelville, Missouri to Jesse Cape and Amy (Hibler) Cape and passed away
Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville, Missouri at
the age of 92 years.
On June 10, 1939 in Steelville, Missouri, Wilma was united in marriage to
Rainey Earls who preceded her in death on February 1, 1974.
Wilma was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church and had been
involved in the Ladies Circle for many years. After years of raising her
family and after the death of her husband, Rainey, she became a CNA and
worked at Gibbs Care until she retired. She was a special caregiver for
others and her family.
Wilma enjoying cooking and would make beautiful quilts for every member of
the family. After retirement she loved to travel. One of her favorite
past-times was watching the St. Louis Cardinal baseball games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Amy Cape; husband,
Rainey; son-in-law, Jerry Wallis; brothers, Maurice (Kathryn and Winnie)
Cape; twin brother, Wilbur “Wig” (Rosalie) Cape and Joel Cape; one sister,
Brenda (George) Riebel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy (Allyne)
Earls, Troy Earls, Opal Aylward and Dollie Harris and other relatives.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Wallis of Malden, Missouri, Bruce
Earls and wife Chris of Chesterfield, Missouri and Terry Bouse and husband

granddaughter Jodie Cottrell and nieces, Donna Eaker and Kay Marik.

of “In the Garden” was sung by Rev. Jerry Beers.

Lewis Henry Fox of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, July 28, 1930 at Oxford,
New Jersey to Arthur and Laura (nee Prutzman) Fox and passed away Monday,
October 11, 2010 at Fenton, Missouri at the age of 80 years, 2 months and
14 days.
Lewis proudly served in the United State Army from 1947 until 1949. He was
an over the road truck driver for many years before retiring. In his spare
time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, mechanics and computers. What he loved
most in life was spending time with his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Laura Fox; brothers;
sisters; other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Antonina (nee Pry) Fox of the home; daughter,
Laura and husband Anthony Dildine of Cuba, Missouri; son, James H. Pry of
Mount Dora, Florida; daughters, Penny V. Fox of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and

Betty Frazee, nee Dement of Steelville, Missouri was born March 4, 1929 in
Ironton, Missouri to Oscar and Nell (MacMurrey) Dement and passed away
Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at
the age of 81 years.
On May 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Warren Frazee who preceded
her in death on March 7, 2006.
Betty attended the Steelville Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the
VFW Auxiliary in Steelville.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and doing crafts. Most of all she loved
taking care of her family and cooking holiday meals for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Nell Dement; her
husband, Warren; two brothers, William Dement and Willard Dement; 10
sisters, Mary Beth Ellestadt, Nancy Depew, Margarett Orr, Helen Panke,
Gladys Pruitt, Norma Heir, Elenanor Kissner, Dorothy Jackson, Katherine
Moses and Wilma Miller and one granddaughter, Melissa Ann White.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Frazee and wife Lori of Creve Coeur,

Helen G. Howdeshell nee Gray of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday,
June 19, 1923 to Charles William Gray and Edna Adlee Warfel in Keysville,
Missouri and passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at the age of 87 years,
3 months and 26 days.
Helen married Noel Howdeshell in 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She worked as a machine operator at Buxton & Skinner Printing Co. of
St. Louis, Missouri where she retired from in 1984. She was a lifetime
member of the Graphic Arts International Union. She was a member of the
First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri. Her hobbies were sewing, photography,
keeping a daily diary, singing and listening to music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Gray and Edna Warfel;
husband, Noel; brothers-in-law, Bob Ogle and Eddie Lefler and sister-in-
law, Daphna Callahan.
She is survived by her brother, Ellis (Betty) Gray of Salem, Missouri;
stepson, Bryce Howdeshell of Steelville, Missouri; step daughter, Elizabeth
(Bernie) Russ of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Mildred (Paul)

Dwight Paul Martin
Dwight Paul Martin of Cherryville, Missouri was born on Thursday,
March 31, 1927 in Cherryville, Missouri to James H. Martin and Sarah Lou
Oxendine Martin and passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Gibbs Care
Center, Steelville, Missouri at 83 years, 6 months and 16 days.
On June 10, 1950 in Davisville, Missouri he married Mary Brown, and to
this union four children were born.
He worked most of his life in the timber industry operating his own
business. Dwight was of the Pentecostal faith. His hobbies were fishing
and hunting. He was known for having well trained hunting dogs, and
especially liked to hunt coyotes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Martin; infant
son, Dwight Edward Martin; great granddaughter, Shaina Mahurin; brothers,
Mike, Eddie and James Martin; sisters, Litha Turnbough, Marcina Morrison,
Pearl Turnbough, Lillie Simpson and Ollie Halbert.

Edeltraud “Traudi” Moehlmann of St. Louis, Missouri was born to Joseph
and Edeltraud (Dietmeyer) Dauber on February 1, 1942 in Germany and passed
away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 68
years, 8 months and 12 days.
Edeltraud was united in marriage to Charles Marvin Moehlmann on
March 13, 1959 in Germany.
She enjoyed needlepoint, arts and crafts, crocheting, gardening and most
of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edeltraud Dauber;
husband of 50 years, Charles Moehlmann; one brother, Gottfried Kostrica and
one grandson, Johnny A. Cramer.
She is survived by one son, Charles and wife Christene Moehlmann of

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Graveside service was held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Kinder
Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. John Cramer, officiating.

Dorothy H. Richardson
Dorothy H. Richardson (Dottie) formerly of St. James, Missouri was born
on January 31, 1938 in Tiptonville, Tennessee to Roger and Virginia
(Alexander) Powers Sr. and passed away October 14, 2010 in Columbia,
Missouri at the age of 72 years.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Leonard Richardson on January 11, 1958
and to this union three children were born.
Dorothy was an excellent cook and shared her talent with friends, family
members as well as patrons of her restaurant. Dorothy was also a hair-
dresser for many years; she enjoyed traveling, movies, crocheting, and
singing karaoke. She was also very close with her family and spending time
with family and friends is what she most loved to do.
She was preceded in death by her parents, roger and Virginia Powers Sr.;
husband, Leonard; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Michael Richardson and wife Beth of
Columbia, Missouri, Ronda Daehnke and husband Paul of Union, Missouri,
Wanda Panick and husband John of Arnold, Missouri; brothers, Roger
Powers Jr. and wife Susie of Sarimac, Michigan, Calvin Powers and wife
Arlis, of Lowell, Michigan; sisters, Shirley Rood and husband Roy of
Lowell, Michigan, Violet Monroe, of Holland, Michigan, Connie Ambrose and
husband Tom of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Barbara Manley, of Louch Michigan;
six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, October 18, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. at the James & Gahr
Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the St. James Chapel
of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastors Jesse Cavaness and Andy Yount
officiating.
Interment was in the St. James Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Shirley Ann Shoemate
Shirley Ann Shoemate of St. Charles, Missouri was born May 28, 1935 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Neil and Margel (Gerley) Wann and passed away
October 13, 2010 at the age of 75 years.
Shirley was a mother of five children. She enjoyed a 28-year marriage
with her husband, Marion.
Shirley was a devoted wife and mother and who showed tremendous courage
and faith in her final three years of life. Shirley’s faith in God was an
inspiration to those near her. Despite her health condition, she
continued to make donations to others in need and fought for the
protection of animals.
Visitation was held Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services were Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Pastor
Stephen Brubaker officiating.
Interment was in the St. James Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
April Sue Voss
April Sue Voss of Sullivan, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on
December 20, 1956 to William and Alice (Key) Roach and passed away on
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the age of 53 years.
She was raised in Sullivan and on July 7, 1975 was married to Donald C.
Voss at Cave Spring Baptist Church.
She enjoyed photography and was very artistic and at one time was a
graphic artist. However, more recently she was a Medical Assistant at
Saint John’s Mercy Hospital in Washington. She had also attained E.M.T.
ratings. April Sue was known as a real cut-up and liked to joke around.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Roach; her
mother-in-law, Frances Voss and grandmothers, Hazel Bobbit Clark and
Eleanor Roach Webb.
She is survived by her husband, Donald of the family home; three daughters,
Margie Sue Juergens and husband Dennis of Sullivan, Missouri, Christina
Voss of Sullivan and Cathy Jo Voss and fiancé Russell Blackwell of Sullivan,
Missouri; six sisters, Linda Nolie and husband Larry of Sullivan, Missouri,
Joyce Roach of Sullivan, Missouri, Vicki Byrd and husband Mark of St. James,
Missouri, Mary Thomeczeck and husband Tom of Sullivan, Missouri, Colleen
Booher and husband Ron of Sullivan, Missouri and Robin Babb and husband Joe
of Leslie, Missouri; five brothers, Larry Roach and wife Wanda of Sullivan,
Missouri, William L. Roach and wife Carolyn of Bourbon, Missouri, Ronald
Roach and wife Ruth of Bourbon, Missouri, Kevin Roach of Bourbon, Missouri
and Keith Roach and wife Jamie of Bourbon, Missouri; father-in-law,
Clarence Voss of Sullivan, Missouri; sister-in-law, Donna Crider of
Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Eaton
Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2010
from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with
Pastor Rod Cardwell officiating.
Cremation followed the services.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan,
Missouri.
