She is survived by her son, Wayne Edward (Dianne) Avery; grandchildren, Michele Lynn Avery and Angela Marie Avery Sanders; stepson, Robert Duane (Judy) Avery; step grandchildren, Timothy Duane Avery, Kurt Edward Avery and Kathleen Ann Davis; great grandchildren, William, Macy, Katherine and Brighton and one on the way; step great grandchildren, Sarah, Allison, Elizabeth, Hunter, Bryan, William, Xander and Alyssa; other relatives and friends. Cartwright Anita I. Cartwright of Spring Bluff, Missouri was born on November 15, 1922 to Charles Henry and Maude Alice (Blankenship) Schmidt and passed away on September 25, 2014 at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 10 days. As a young woman, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. In July of 1944, Anita married Walter H. Cartwright of Bourbon, Missouri and two children were born. In 1953, the family moved to Grover in St. Louis County, living there 48 years. After Anita's husband, Walter, retired from the ministry, they moved back and built a house on Steve's farm in Spring Bluff, Missouri, a couple of miles from the home place where she was born and raised. She was a children's Sunday school teacher for 50 years, a hard worker, and a wonderful cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter on August 5, 2012; six brothers, Russell, Hadley, Earl, Harold, Roscoe D. "Ben" and Jimmie Dean Schmidt; three sisters, Ava Lindsey Owens, Ruth Stevens and an infant sister. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda of the home; son, Steve and his wife Jeanne of Spring Bluff, Missouri; grandchildren, Tom Everett and wife Christi of Columbia, Missouri, Daniel Cartwright, Spring Bluff, Missouri, Becky Simon and her husband, Nick, Spring Bluff., Missouri; three great grandsons, Aaron Charles Everett, Weston James Cartwright and Luke Joseph Simon; one brother, Eddie Gene Schmidt and wife Verna, Sullivan, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Robert Stevens and wife Annie, Ft. Coleman of Leasburg, Missouri was born on March 6, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to Benjamin Franklin and Mabel (Connors) Coleman and passed away Saturday, October 11, at the age of 81. On November 3, 1953 Donald was united in marriage to Deloris Lanning and to this union four sons were blessed. Donald worked in St. Louis, Missouri as a roofer before moving to Leasburg, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and was able to go elk hunting in Colorado. His passion was fishing and by living in the beauty of Missouri's rivers and streams he was able to enjoy an abundant amount of time visiting the waters he loved so much. he was able to spend 59 years with the love of his life before her death on May 21, 2013, He loved to go out "honky-tonking" just to get out and dance to the "good old" country music. He always had a smile on his face and a great saying to go with "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet" and that is how Donald lived his life and raised his children. Davis of Steelville, Missouri was born at Sullivan, Missouri on May 30, 1951 to Milford Roehrs and Nora (Sterling) Roehrs Weekes and passed away at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the age of 63 years. She was raised and attended school in Sullivan, Missouri. Her vocation in life was that of a homemaker. She loved cooking and keeping a clean and orderly home. Barbara also loved cats of all kinds, traveling and playing cards, especially canasta. Her true devotion though was to her grandchildren. McCarthy Sr. of Steelville, Missouri was born February 14, 1922 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Charles and Ethel Rose Parrott McCarthy and passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 23 days. On January 19, 1946 in Owensboro, Kentucky, he was united in marriage to Eva Muriel Hines. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1941-1946. J.C. was a truck driver for 35 years and retired in 1982. He was a member of the Truckers Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel McCarthy; his wife, Eva McCarthy; son, Richard Lee McCarthy; daughter, Pat Booker; grandson, Paul McCarthy; brother, Russell McCarthy; sister, Bessie Mae McCarthy; three brothers-in-law, J.T. Ives Perrigue, nee Coffman, of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born in Steelville, Missouri to James Edgar and Mabel Jane (Vance) Coffman on Wednesday, January 25, 1928 and passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 17 days. Mary married Delmer Lester Ives on March 23, 1945 in St. James, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Delmar passed away in June of 1973 and she later married Clarence Woodrow Perrigue on July 24, 1978 in Union, Missouri. They were married until his death in January of 1994. Betty accepted the Lord early in life and was a member of the Steelville First Presbyterian Church where she was active in the ladies auxiliary. She was a member of the Cuba Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to bowl and bowled on a league for years and a highlight of hers was getting to bowl at the state bowling league. Betty was an excellent cook especially famous for her chicken and dumplings, vegetable soup, grape jelly, homemade bread and donuts. She enjoyed reading westerns and detective books, and working crossword puzzles. Staff Sergeant Joshua Schoenhoff Staff Sergeant Joshua Schoenhoff, active duty, USAF, formally of Bourbon, Missouri, was born at Washington, Missouri on August 20, 1987 to Tina Blankenship Schoenhoff Hamblin and Lenny Schoenhoff and passed away at Okinawa, Japan at the age of 27 years. Josh, as he was known by his family and friends, was a 2006 graduate of Bourbon High School. He continued on with his studies at East Central College at Union, Missouri. On September 20, 2008 he was united in marriage to Jessica Peterson at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri. Josh enlisted in the United State Air Force and had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was currently stationed at Robbins Air Force Base Georgia, making his home in Bonaire. Josh loved NRHA drag racing and dirt bike racing, going to the race track and working on cars and was especially fond of his 2000 Camaro. Josh was also a devoted Christian and had a close walk with God and was baptized at Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenny Schoenhoff; and grandfather, Marion Blankenship. Mamie Opal Stough Mamie Opal Stough, nee Gregory, of Hillsboro, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, was born on Saturday, June 3, 1922 in Steelville, Missouri to William Claude and Nellie Jane Brown Gregory and passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 3 days. Mamie accepted the Lord when she was 19 years old. She married Claude V. Stough on August 15, 1945 and to this union three children were born. Mamie taught Sunday School, led Women's Missionary Union (WMU) and was active in many church programs. She was a member of Center Point Baptist Church for many years and later active in Overland Freewill Baptist Church, Overland, Missouri. When the family could not make it to church they had church at home in their living room. She loved to bring the stories alive to her family with media such as flannel graphs, pictures, etc. She loved to sing, was an avid reader and read the Bible through many times. She loved to sew, doing alterations, quilting, crocheting and working in her flower beds. She worked as a seamstress for many years in the garment industry. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie Gregory; sisters, Alline (Glen) Elliott, Ruby (Harry) Vogel, Goldie (Elmer) Wood, Bessie (Raymond) Farrar, Pearl (Virgil) Woods and Hallie (Orville) Brown; brothers, Jessie (Lottie) Gregory, Claude (Lena) Gregory and Bud (Dorothy) Stough; brothers-in-law, Morris Stough and Ed (Jeannie) Stough; and son-in-law, Bo Erickson. She is survived by her children, Joseph C. Dean Wigger Dean Wigger of Bourbon, Missouri was born February 24, 1936 to Carrick and Pansy (Farris) Wigger of Sullivan, Missouri and passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the age of 78 years. He attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1954. He was a life-long resident of the Sullivan and Bourbon area. On December 31, 1955 Dean he married Mary Lou Merritt in Hernando, Mississippi and four children were born to this union. Dean was a carpenter by trade and was first employed in Sullivan, Missouri by Cy Dace Construction. He later worked in the St. Louis area as a cement mason where he helped build Busch Memorial Stadium and the St. Louis Arch. He was best known, however, for creating the Building Trades program at Sullivan High School where he built 25 houses in 23 years. Dean was an active member on the board of the Crawford Electric Co-op, where he worked on the Round-up Committee. He was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sullivan, Missouri, where he served as a trustee, and was instrumental in the building of the church. He also served with the First Baptist Missions Builders for the past 16 years, traveling as far away as Yokohama, Japan. Dean enjoyed hunting and farming in his spare time.He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Wigger of the family home; four children, Kim Hawkins and husband Brad of St. Clair, Missouri, Pam Curry and husband Chuck of Eureka, Missouri, Tom Wigger and wife Chris of Sullivan, Missouri and Dean Wigger, Jr. and wife Chris of Ojai, California; one brother, Dale Wigger and wife Jackie of Sullivan, Missouri; one sister, Pat Smith and friend Lyle Bjerkestrand of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
