Marilyn married Stephen E. Boeh in 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri. Marilyn's career in education spanned 36 years, 18 as a middle school teacher and 18 as a school administrator. Her teaching included two years in Old Monroe, Missouri and 16 years in Elwood, Kansas. The next five years she served as the elementary principal in Rushville, Missouri. She retired from Strain-Japan after a 13 year stint as the principal/superintendent. Marilyn received her undergraduate degree from UMSL (University of Missouri St. Louis), her master's degree from NWMSU (Northwest Missouri State University) and PhD from UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City). In her spare time, she enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles, working jigsaw puzzles, traveling and watching Jeopardy and reality TV. John "Glendon" Price Klossner John "Glendon" Price Klossner was born September 20, 1930 at Safe, Missouri to John Austin and Anna Elizabeth Mosher Klossner and passed away on October 20, 2019 at the age of 89 years. He married Kathleen Savory on Sepember 25, 1954 at the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri. He attended Wash School in Safe, Missouri and graduated from John F. Hodge in St. James, Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Air Force September 8, 1950 and achieved the rank of staff sergeant. He served his country as an aircraft and engine mechanic during the Korean War and was honorably discharged September 7, 1954. It was during his station in Lakenheath Airforce base in England he met Kathleen. Glendon believed in the value of hard work and in serving his community. He was one of the original creators of the St. James Ambulance District and sat on the ambulance board for more than 30 years. He served as a Phelps County Commissioner for 14years, the St. James Board of Education for six years and the Safe Fair Board. He also spent many years on the sidelines and in the dugout as a youth sports basketball and baseball coach. A sought after John Deere mechanic, Glendon loved to fix things. He also enjoyed auctioneering, putting up hay and working on the farm that has been in the Klossner family for more than 100 years. His land was distinguished as a century farm in 2016. When Glendon wasn't working, he could often be found hunting for pheasants or flying planes. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Klossner; brother, Wendell; and son, John Randy. Leroy, as he was known by his family and friends, married Donna Louise Walker on August 24, 1957 in Senatobia, Mississippi. Leroy and Donna built many homes in this area. They bought some homes and remolded them and resold them. Donna said she had lived in 43 different home since they were married. Leroy worked construction all his life and had just remolded a home south of town before his health failed. On March 10, 1958 in Timber, Missouri, Jolly married Joy Piatt. Jolly was a self-employed logger for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Flossie Watson; his wife, Joy Watson; one daughter, Pam Glore; two sisters, Imo (Elmo) Dooley and Iretta Yelton; four brothers, Ondo (Mildread) Watson, Elva (Elmo) Watson, Lovel Watson and infant, Thurman Watson; great grandchild, Skyler Glore; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Watson and Dormilee Watson. He is survived by two sons, Phillip (Connie) Watson of Versailles, Missouri and Paul (Patty) Watson of Cuba, Missouri; daughter, Jamie (Mikal) Piva of Rolla, Missouri; son-in-law, Albert Glore III of Steelville, Missouri; three brothers, Ronnie (Sue) Watson of Williamsburg, Missouri, Buren (Ellien) Watson of Pekin, Illinois and Vernell Watson of Gladden, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Lomagene Watson of McKittrick, Missouri and Norma Jean Watson of Summersville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tammy (Bruce) Volner, Matthew (Elizabeth) Watson, Kevin (Jennifer) Glore, Kayla Glore, Cody Watson, Casey (Michael) Montgomery, Cheynne Howard, Connor Howard and Cassidy Howard; 11 great grandchildren, Riley Brown, Megan Volner, Camron Volner, Sarah Archambault, Christian Watson, Lyric Glore, Liberty Glore, Emelia Glore, Kaylee Piersall, Brayden Watson and Hadley Montgomery; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Eddie Jones officiating. Casket bearers were Albert Glore, Kevin Glore, Matt Watson, Cody Watson, Michael Montgomery and Bruce Volner. Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery. Betty Ann Williams Betty Ann Williams of St. James, Missouri was born February 8, 1928 in St. James to Charles N. and Alma Swyers Smallwood and passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the age of 91 years, 8 month and 9 days. She married Cecil Williams in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1960. Betty was raised on the family farm south of St. James, Missouri and enjoyed the duties of the farm. She inherited her mother's ability to cook and was known for her light rolls and kept her mother's cherished recipe that was wrote on the inside of a box. After her marriage she and her husband owned and operated Mid-America Express a trucking company in Oklahoma. After retirement Betty and Cecil retired to the lake in Oklahoma. After her husband's passing she moved back to St. James, Missouri to be near family and enjoyed cooking for family events and worshiped at the St. James Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on April 23, 1991; and one sister, Evelyn Welker. She is survived by one sister, Letty Licklider of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Jim Smallwood of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Brother Lynn Huggins officiating.
