He grew up and attended school in Cherryville and Sullivan, Missouri. David was employed early in his life at several local shoe factories. He was known as a jack of all trades master of none. David worked for several farms in the area, including Hilo Farms, where he worked for many years. On August 30, 1985 he was married to Ravanda Cox. David loved hunting, fishing, raising chickens and living in the country. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior A. and Dora S. Britton; and three siblings, Dennis Britton, Patricia Mastin and Elsie Brake. He is survived by his wife, Ravanda (Cox) Britton; two children, Derrick Britton of Sullivan, Missouri and Kristina Pilkenton of St. Clair, Missouri; five grandchildren, Hunter Britton, Kallie Pilkenton, Kade Pilkenton, Mikyla Zeigler and Mikenzy Zeigler; two brothers, Scott Britton and wife Sue of Leasburg, Missouri and Larry Britton of Sullivan, Missouri; one sister, Teresa Voss and husband Robert of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Brenda Lea Brown Brenda Lea Brown (nee Calahan) of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born March 9, 1957 in Steelville, Missouri to Madison Guy and Goldie Lucille Helms Calahan and passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 13 days. On December 9, 1978 in Possum Trot, Kentucky she married Edward A. Brown Sr. Brenda was raised in the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed sewing, camping and watching her favorite movie, Titanic. She was preceded in death by her father, Madison Guy Calahan; and grandson, Zachary Michael Brown. Michael Alva Roach Michael Alva Roach of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri to Willard "Pete" Alva and Joann (Werner) Roach and passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the age of 57 years and 9 months. Michael accepted the Lord and was Catholic in faith. He served our country honorably as a Sniper Specialist in the United States Army. He married Terry Jean Vogt on December 15, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael owned a construction business and was a Master Drain Layer. He was a member of the Steelville Country Club, National Rifle Association, Local 53 Labor Union; and Operators Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family in his spare time. John Henry Schwent John Henry Schwent of Cuba, Missouri was born on January 11, 1925 in Flat River, Missouri to Henry and Ann (Schmidt) Schwent and passed away October 28, 2017 at the age of 92 years. John was a graduate of Cuba High School and proudly served in the United States Army. On February 19, 1946 John married Ada E. Luck at the Holy Cross Church in Cuba, Missouri. John was a lifelong member of the Holy Cross Church in Cuba, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ann Schwent; and one infant son who passed at birth. Jason Edward Tomazi Jason Edward Tomazi of Rolla, Missouri was born on Monday, October 6, 1975 in Sullivan, Missouri to Edward Alexander and Jane Frances Morris Tomazi and passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the age of 42 years and 20 days. Jason graduated from Cuba High School in 1993 and became a heavy equipment operator in commercial construction. He was a past member of the Local #513 Operating Engineers Union when he worked in St. Louis, Missouri. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and landscaping. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; mother, Jane; and sister, Caroline R. Parlor. Naomi Wilson Naomi Wilson of Bourbon, Missouri was born to Hubert and Edna Partin on August 18, 1930 in Bell County, Kentucky and passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Naomi worked for many years taking care of others as a nurse at Fieser Nursing Home in Fenton, Missouri and later at Sunshine Acres in Bourbon, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles, taking care of her plants, flowers and her pets Bruiser and Whitey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Edna Partin; two husbands, Arnold Taylor and Harvey L. Wilson; two sons, Calvin and Evan Taylor; two brothers, Evan and R.J. Partin; and four sisters, Virginia Evans, Geneva Browning, Patricia Breese and Carolyn Carlo. She is survived by six children, Alvin and wife Joyce Taylor of Ste. Woodruff of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born riday, July 27, 1928 at Steelville, Missouri to Jewell Harman and Hilda M. Miller and passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Wanda graduated from the Steelville High School in 1944. On June 3, 1949 Wanda married Dale Woodruff in Cuba and to this union two children were born. Wanda and Dale were devout members of the Cuba United Methodist Church from 1958 till 2002 when they moved to Columbia, Missouri to be close to their daughter. Wanda was the church organist, hoir director and a Sunday school teacher for many years. After moving to Columbia, they became members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She crocheted something for everyone and she was famous for her homemade chicken and dumplings. Her favorite thing to watch on TV was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball. From 1974 till 1984 Wanda was a store clerk for Cuba Rexall. Wanda enjoyed going to river, fishing and camping with her family. After the children were grown Wanda and Dale purchased a RV and traveled some during their retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell Harman and H ilda M. Miller; and her husband, Dale Woodruff; She is survived by her children, Beverly Skyles of Columbia, Missouri and Paul and wife JoAnne Woodruff of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; six grandchildren, Dorrie and husband Shane Corbett of Cuba, Missouri, Brian and wife Erin Skyles of Durango, Colorado, Emilee Skyles and fiancˇ Dana Osorno of Durango, Colorado, David and wife Stephanie Woodruff of Durango, Colorado, Raquel Woodruff of Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Ryan and wife Sarah Woodruff of Wichita, Kansas; six great-grandchildren, Micah Corbett and Jacob Corbett of Cuba, Missouri, Mason Woodruff, Ezra Skyles, Finnley Woodruff and Alynna Skyles, all of Durango, Colorado; other relatives and friends.
