Alma E. Armstrong
Alma E. Armstrong of Morrison, Colorado was born Friday, February 20, 1920 at
Union, Missouri to the union of Albert Moss and Mary (nee Strauser) Moss and
passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Morrison, Colorado at the age of
88 years, 8 months and 9 days.
Alma worked as a Dental Technician for the US Government for 25+ years before
retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by a son, Larry and wife Pam Armstrong of Colorado; two
sisters, Mary Trask of Houston, Texas and Adele Landers of Springfield,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Cave
Springs Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Harold E. Armstrong
Harold E. Armstrong of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Robert and
Julia (Pickles) Armstrong on October 3, 1927 in Anaconda, Missouri and
passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in Creve Coeur, Missouri
at the age of 81 years and 29 days.
Harold was united in marriage to Pauline F. White on June 25, 1988 in
Sullivan, Missouri.
Harold was a retiree of General Motors Corp. after 31 years of dedicated
service. He and Pauline owned and operated the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba for
many years. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a
member of St. Clair V.F.W. Post #2482, St. Clair American Legion Post #347,
St. Clair Elks Lodge #2651. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, fishing
and traveling the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Julian Armstrong;
two sisters, Clarcie Snyder and Hazel Collins; other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his three sons, James and wife Brenda Armstrong of Cuba,
Missouri, Eddie and wife Dena Armstrong of Stanton, Missouri, Ronnie and wife
Beverly Armstrong of Cuba, Missouri; one grandson, Rodney and wife Kristin
Armstrong of Farmington, Missouri; one great grandson, Keegan Armstrong of
Farmington, Missouri; one sister, Roberta Holmes of St. Clair, Missouri; one
brother, Clyde Armstrong of Naples, Florida; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton
Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Britton Funeral
Home with Pastor Paul Lathum, officiating.
Interment in the Anaconda Cemetery, Anaconda, Missouri with full military
honors.

Warren Lee Brown
Warren Lee Brown, of Bourbon, Missouri was born May 2, 1937 in Hamil,
Arkansas to Charles Houston and Mini Alma (McIlroy) Brown and passed away
Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the age of 71 years.
He married Delorise Perkins on June 30, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Warren worked for Jones Trucking in St. Louis, Missouri for many years and
later retired from there. He loved a good joke and was quick witted. He
painted curbs in Bourbon and started the “Buckle Up Bear” Program with the
Bourbon Department of Public Safety and donated his time. He also loved
animals, especially his dogs, Foxey, Misty and Little Dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Lloyd Brown and
sister, Lela Loraine McClarine.
He is survived by his wife of the family home; children, William Lee Brown
of Festus, Missouri, Wayne Lee Brown and wife Vicky of Arnold, Missouri,
Waren Lee Brown of Arnold, Missouri, Robert Lee Hammack of Dittmer, Missouri,
Mary Sue Pogue and husband Bruce of Bourbon, Missouri and Carol Higginbotham
of Hillsboro, Missouri; sister-in-law, Faye Sinuard; special friends, Tracy
Diez Loshe and Greg Thomas; grandchildren, great grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008
from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri with Joey
Bartle officiating.
Interment in the Artesian Acres Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Missouri.
Mike A. DeCiechi
Mike A. DeCiechi of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 27, 1918
in St. Louis, Missouri to Carlo DeCiechi and Juisephina Mueghitti DeCiechi and
passed away at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri on Saturday,
November 1, 2008 at the age of 90 years and 5 days.
Mike married Alice Hinch on December 27, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. After
his service he lived on the Hill in St. Louis, Missouri where he was employed
as a U.S. mail carrier and a barber. He later was a full-time barber when
moving to Steelville in 1969.
He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, American
Legion Post #15 Rollo Calaterra, charter member of the Steelville VFW, and
charter member of trustees at Gibbs Care Center. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Charles DeCiechi,
Leo (Mary) DeCiechi, and infant twin brother; sisters-in-law Nona (Vic) Doerr,
Agnes (Jimmy) Graham; brothers-in-law Clyde (Helen) Hinch and Clarencie Hinch.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Doris) DeCiechi of O’Fallon, Missouri;
sister-in-law, Margaret Cape of Steelville, Missouri; nephew, Joseph C. (Pam)
DeCiechi of O’Fallon, Missouri; niece, Marsha (Charlie) Light of Steelville,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, November 3, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri with prayer service at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 9 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic
Church, Steelville, Missouri with Father James Finder officiating.
Burial at Steelville Cemetery with full military honors.

Marie Antoinette Green
Marie Antoinette Green of Troy, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was
born August 28, 1926 in Medford, Massachusetts to Francis and Marie (Laflamme)
Sokolski and passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri.
On January 9, 1944, she was united in marriage to Delmar Green in Summersville,
Massachusetts who preceded her in death on April 19, 1981.
Marie was of the Catholic faith and had been a member of St. Michael’s Church
in Steelville, Missouri many years ago. After retiring from Brown Shoe
Company, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri to be near some of her children.
She enjoyed watching game shows on TV, but most of all enjoyed being around
her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Jonie
Mallott and Deborah Armer and one sister, Frances Fergerson.
She is survived by one son, John Green and wife Karen of Troy, Missouri; one
daughter, Janice Blagg and husband Tom of St. Louis, Missouri; eight
grandchildren, Cynthia Malott, Loyd Wayne Malott and wife Suzanne, Kathy
Hamilton and husband Josh, DeAnna Armer, Delilah Cecil, Ed Green, Thomas Blagg
and Jackie Lynn; seven great grandchildren, Leah, Holly, Lucas and Sophie
Malott, Alyssa and Kalobe Green and Josie Lynn; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Father James
Finder officiating. Special music of “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art”
and “On Eagles Wings” was sung by two granddaughters, Delilah Cecil and
DeAnna Armer with Shirley Brown as pianist.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Davisville Cemetery in Davisville,
Missouri.
Casket bearers were Edward Green, Ronald Hogan, Thomas Blagg, Jr., Loyd
Malott, Jr., Thomas Blagg, Sr. and Lindell Green.

Jerry Dale Michel
Jerry Dale Michel of Bland, Missouri was born October 5, 1955 in Rolla,
Missouri to Raymond and Pasty McDaniel Michel and passed away
October 31, 2008 at the age of 53 years.
He married Brenda Roberson on October 18, 1975 at Leduc Methodist Church.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bland, Missouri and was a
bricklayer belonging to the BAC-Local #1, Brick Layers Union.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Michel.
He is survived by his parents of Bland, Missouri; mother-in-law, Eva Roberson
of Bland, Missouri; son, Jeffrey Michel of Bland, Missouri; daughter, Tracy
Ellis and husband Ben of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers, Samuel Michel and wife
Marilyn of Union, Missouri, Kevin Michel and wife Sandy of Owensville,
Missouri; two sisters, Barbara Stovall and husband Woody of Cuba, Missouri
and Pamela Terrill and husband Tim of Bland, Missouri; grandchild, Levi
Ellis; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Monday, November 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the First
Baptist Church, Bland, Missouri with Pastor Bob Dodson officiating.
Interment in the Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville, Missouri.
Janice Faye Russell
Janice Faye Russell of Viburnum, Missouri was born October 1, 1944 to Harry
and Audell (Bloom) Richey in Farmington, Missouri and passed away Friday,
October 31, 2008 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia,
Missouri at the age of 64 years.
On December 24, 1961 in Coffman, Missouri, Janice was united in marriage to
Lloyd “Bud” Herman Russell, Jr.
Janice was a member of the Cherryville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed
crafts, cooking, but most of all her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years; two sons, Lloyd Steven Russell
and wife Barb of Viburnum, Missouri and Randall Scott Russell and wife Barb
of Cherryville, Missouri; two daughters, Sandy Mounce and husband Brent and
Mandy Davis and husband Brad, all of Viburnum, Missouri; five sisters, Alma
Griffith and Mary Lou Smith of Farmington, Missouri, Virginia House and
Sylvia Mayberry of Perryville, Missouri and Wanda Pirtle of Texas; one
sister-in-law, Ruth LaChance and husband Darrell of Fredericktown, Missouri;
six grandchildren, Bethany, Latisha, Dillyn and Raelynn Russell and Kelci
and Kasie Mounce; one step grandson, Nick Hedrick; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Harry White
officiating. Special music of “He’s in the Midst” and “Winner, Either Way”
was sung by Kim and Kevin Abney with Kevin Abney accompanying on guitar.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Cherryville First Baptist Church
Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Nick Hedrick, Kenny Mayberry, Randy House, Larry Smith,
Mark LaChance, Terry Ferguson, Darrell LaChance and honorary casket bearer
Dillyn Russell.

Paul Delbert Stricklin
Paul Delbert Stricklin was born Sunday, December 23, 1962 in Columbia,
Missouri to Lawrence and Rosie Chandler Stricklin and passed away at his
home in Steelville, Missouri on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the age of
45 years, 10 months and 6 days.
Paul attended a Pentecost Church as a child.
Paul was a life long resident of Steelville, Missouri and worked more than
20 years at the Merritt’s Saw Mill.
He lived with his sister-in-law Maxine for several years until her death on
November 6, 2006 helping raise his nieces and nephews. His hobbies were
hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene and Charlie
Stricklin, and an infant sister, Verla Mae.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Donnie “Hollywood” (Mary)
Stricklin, of Cherryville, Missouri, Jerry (Lisa) Stricklin of Edgar, Springs,
Missouri, Alberta (Jim) Lynch, Ruby (Benny) Garton, and Brenda (Rev. Gene)
Blocker, all of California, Janet (Roy) Vriese of Las Vegas, Nevada, Velma
Plementosh of South Carolina, Ronnie “Turkey” (Kim) Stricklin of Steelville,
Missouri, and Jim Stricklin of Cherryville, Missouri; special nieces and
nephews Tim (Katie) Stricklin of Steelville, Missouri, Tony Stricklin, of
Steelville, Missouri, Terry Mangum of Panama City, Florida, Theresa (Paul)

Robert “Bob” Charles Webster
Robert “Bob” Charles Webster of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Steelville,
Missouri was born February 23, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles and
Helen (Haun) Webster and passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Cuba Manor
at the age of 86 years.
On April 6, 1952, he was united in marriage to Erma L. Fink in Corinth,
Mississippi.
“Bob” was retired from the U. S. Army as a Command Sgt. Major and the
St. Louis County Police at the rank of Lt. in 1984. He was a lifetime member
of the Steelville VFW, member of the Cuba American Legion of Cuba, Post
Commander of the 16th District American Legion, member of the Greater
St. Louis Parachute Club, Past President of the St. Louis Mason Police Craft,
member and Past Patron of the Martha Ray Chapter and Easter Star, Past Master
and a 50 year member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #77 of Steelville, member
of the Rolla Chapter 32 and Past High Priest, member of the Rolla Council 39
and Past Illustrious Master, member of the Rolla Commandry 59 and Past
Commander.
“Bob” was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; one daughter, Peggy Stewart and
husband William of Piedmont, South Dakota; one brother, Harry G. Webster of
Warner Robins, Georgia; two grandchildren, Christine Newell of Rapid City,
South Dakota and Michael Vrooman of Denver, Colorado; two nephews, Carl S.
Gorgon of Wildwood, Missouri and Earl Fink of O’Fallon, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Masonic services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008 by the Lebanon
Masonic Lodge #77 of Steelville. Honor guard was provided by the VFW #6479 and
American Legion #345 of Steelville, Missouri. Music of “Amazing Grace” was
played on bagpipes by Rob Bowness.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Don Martin
officiating.
Music of “The Old Rugged Cross” and “On the Wings of a Dove” were sung by
Carol Coleman with Shirley Brown as pianist. A special tribute was shared by daughter, Peggy Stewart.
Casket bearers were Wayne Blunt, Bill Powers, Carl Garden, Bill Stewart,
Gene Brinkley and Justin Gibbs.
Full military honors by the United States Army and committal prayer were in
the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tessie Ellen Krafft Woods
Tessie Ellen Krafft Woods of Kirkwood, Missouri was born Sunday,
April 2, 1922 at Hornersville, Missouri to the union of William B. Mason
and Chloe (nee Pattillo) Mason and passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at
Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home, Kirkwood, Missouri at the age of 86 years,
6 months and 26 days.
Tessie was united in marriage to August Krafft on February 23, 1945 at
St. Louis, Missouri and to this union six children were born. Tessie worked
in the Small Arms Plant in St. Louis during the war, but she spent the
majority of her life being a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed making
jelly, quilts and sewing. She enjoyed going to church, singing in the church
choir, always serving the Lord and she always lived her faith.
She was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg,
Missouri and the First Baptist Church of House Springs, Missouri before she
moved to Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in Kirkwood, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Glenn Krafft; four
siblings; husbands; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by five children, Carol and husband Phil Whild of Puyallup,
Washington, Sandra and husband Jerry Andel of the Lake of the Ozarks,
Missouri, Ronald and wife Joan Krafft of the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri,
David and wife Janice Krafft of Sealy, Texas and Sherry and husband Daniel
Reuther of Cedar Hill, Missouri; two brothers, Roy Mason of Wright City,
Missouri and Don Mason of Washington State; four sisters, Gayle Boomershine
of Colorado, Dora Finkbiner of Iowa, Ruby Oliver of Florida and Irene Hahn of
California; 10 grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, October 31, 2008 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Honored to be serving as pallbearers were
Tessie’s grandsons.
Interment at the Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
