MO Local Obituaries for the Week updated Nov. 10, 2005 David Rutz David Rutz of St. James, Missouri was born April 1, 1965 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Ralph and Elizabeth "Speedy" (nee Blount) Rutz and left from this life on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Salem, Missouri at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 4 days. David was partners with his dad Ralph and Jimmy Hurst of Interstate Regional Stockyards in Cuba, Missouri. David is preceded in death by one infant sister Vicky Ann, grandparents and other family members. David was a loving father, son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend to all and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those who survive to mourn his passing are his two Pride and Joys, his daughters, Abby and Faith Rutz, loving parents Ralph and Elizabeth "Speedy" Rutz, sister Mary Beth Abolt and husband Scott, aunt Mary Clay and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, 904 W. Washington St., Cuba, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 11 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba with Rev. Gary Mace officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Darlene Cape and soloist Don Britton. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Abby and Faith Rutz Educational Trust Fund in care of Peoples Bank, PO Box H, Cuba, MO 65453. Katherine A. Stanley Katherine A. Stanley of Bourbon, Missouri was born August 15, 1960 to the union of Herbert and Ella Havens and left from this life on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at her residence in Bourbon, Missouri at the age of 45 years 2 months and 15 days. Those who survive to mourn her loss are her parents, one son Clinton Barlow, one daughter Samantha West, two grandchildren Skylar and Savannah Brownlee, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. No services are being held at this time. Family is being served by Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Robert Marshall Work Jr. Robert Marshall Work, Jr. was born April 23, 1910 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to the union of Robert M. Work, Sr. and Roberta (Gibson) Work and passed away on October 31, 2005 at Cuba Manor in Cuba, Missouri. Robert graduated from Monmouth College in 1932 and University of Michigan with a MBA in 1934. Robert was united in marriage on October 1, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to Evelyn H. Ruskin and to this union four children were born Bruce, Robert, Lynn and Christine. Robert and Evelyn resided in Warren County, Illinois are for 63 years, members of Kirkwood, Illinois and Valparaiso, Indiana Presbyterian Churches. Robert was an insurance salesman for Aetna Insurance Company. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, one son Robert Work, III, two brothers Raymond P. and James R. Work, one sister Emma G. Burt. Those who survive to mourn his passing are one son Bruce and wife Jan Work of Cuba, Missouri, two daughters Lynn and husband Rod Reese of Ogden Dunes, Indiana and Christine and husband E.J. McBride of Seattle, Washington, one brother Dick Work of Biggsville, Illinois and one sister Mary E. Theis of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, one daughter-in-law Mary Ann Work. Eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held in Monmouth, Illinois at a later date. Family is being served by Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
