On February 16, 1957 in Salem, Missouri, Elick and Norma Dyer were united in marriage. Elick worked as a carpenter for the Construction Industry Laborers in St. Louis and retired in 1982 after 40 years. He was a member of the Lookout Assembly of God in Davisville and Carpenter’s Union 216 in St. Louis. In Elick’s spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping coons, even this past summer. On November 11, 1972 in Steelville, Donna was united in marriage to Frank Missey. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Steelville, Missouri. She was the church secretary for several years. She was very involved in the women’s ministry, the Relay for Life and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed traveling to Branson every year during the week of her birthday. Donna always wanted to help others and volunteer her time. In her spare time, she would sew, do crafts, worked for Home Interior Designers and baked wedding cakes when her children were younger. Ocie was united in marriage to Effie Wilkinson on January 28, 1940 at the Davisville Assembly Church and to this union seven children were born. Ocie was retired from Cyclone Fence Company a subsidiary of US Steel in St. Louis. He worked as a foreman, installing fence, guard rails and road signs before retiring after 44 years of dedicated service. For many years the family would drive to Crawford County every Wednesday evening and Sunday, for he was also a full time minister. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, hunting (especially for squirrels) and fishing. He always enjoyed going to church, singing his favorite hymns and spending time with his family and friends. Aaron Paul Satterfield Aaron Paul Satterfield of St. James, Missouri, was born in High Gate, Missouri on August 5, 1947, to Randall E. and Marie (nee Skouby) and passed away on November 5, 2009 at his home in High Gate, Missouri at the age of 62 years. Aaron graduated from John F. Hodge High School, St. James, Missouri, Class of 1965. In the summer of 1965 he enlisted into the US Air Force and served his country for four years. He did a 21-month tour of duty in Vietnam. Aaron also had a TDY in Korea achieving the rank of Airman 1st Class. He was a munitions specialist. He received National Defense Service Medal; Vietnamese Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal; and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Upon his return from serving his country, he enrolled at Missouri State University, formerly Southwest Missouri State University Springfield, Missouri. He graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. In the spring of 1976 he and his partner, Carl Ray Huffman, opened the Greenleaf Gardens Nursery at Republic, Missouri. In 1985, Aaron moved back home and opened his own nursery, Brown-Satterfield Nursery and Tree Farm north of St. James. He was a lifelong member of the High Gate Baptist Church. He loved nature, being in the outdoors, raising cattle, hunting and fishing. Cody graduated high school in Belton, Missouri in 2000. He was a member of the Young Marines and the high school wrestling team. He moved to Florida and attended Webster University and received his associate degree in computers as a programming analyst. He loved to fish, sing and being around his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Cindy of Florida; father, Sam of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Dawn of Raymore, Missouri and brother, Cole of Florida. A memorial service will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Bible Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri. Martha “Marie” Worden Martha “Marie” Worden of Farmington, Missouri, was born on February 24, 1920 at Viburnum, Missouri to Wilburn Thomas and Eva (Beers) Thomas and passed away November 4, 2009 at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 11 days. Marie was a member of the Belgrade Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Eva Thomas; first husband, James Millard Payne; second husband, Joseph Worden; daughter, Dorothy Boyer; step son, Murphy Worden; brother, Earl Thomas and sister, Kathern Barr. She is survived by four sons, Jim Payne of Cuba, Missouri, Ray Payne of Bourbon, Missouri, Harvey Payne and wife Johnnie Sue of Farmington, Missouri and Robert Payne and wife Terry of Farmington, Missouri; daughter, Wilda Payne of Farmington, Missouri; step son, Joe Worden and wife Georgia of Irondale, Missouri; four step daughters, Delores Owens of Potosi, Missouri, Doris Hull of Ironton, Missouri, Janet Kerns and husband Donnie of Irondale, Missouri and Connie Sadler and husband Larry of Caledonia, Missouri; two brothers, Harvey Thomas of St. James, Missouri, Elwood Thomas and wife Linda of Belgrade, Missouri; four sisters, Violet Jacobsen of Nevada, Mae Docking and husband Caroll of Tennessee, Mary Martin and husband Jim of California and Lurie Belfield of Belgrade, Missouri; 34 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at DeClue Family Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri. Funeral services were Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at the DeClue Chapel. Interment and final prayers at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
