Honor Elizabeth Bridgeman, infant daughter of Whitney and Tom
Bridgeman, was still born at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan,
Missouri on Tuesday, November 5, 2013
She is survived by her parents, Whitney and Tom Bridgeman; her
maternal grandparents, Danny and Lisa Simmerly; maternal great-
grandparents, Paul and Carol Massey; her paternal grandparents,
Bill and Barb Bridgeman and paternal great-grandparents, Tom and
Mildred Campbell.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013
at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with burial at
Bourbon Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan,
Missouri.
Stanley Paul Chandler
Stanley Paul Chandler of Viburnum, Missouri, passed away
November 5, 2013, in Crawford County, Missouri at the age of 55
years.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Chandler of Viburnum, Missouri;
mother, Faye Chandler of Viburnum, Missouri; children, Matthew
Chandler and wife Lisa of Boss, Missouri, Nathan Chandler and wife
Kirsten of Viburnum, Missouri, Justin Chandler of Salem, Missouri,
Jessi Wiggins and husband Quenton of St. James, Missouri, Jenni
Bussen and husband Karl of Columbia, Missouri, and Heath Lea of
Eureka, Missouri; brothers, Ronnie Chandler and wife Lynn of
Belleview, Missouri, Larry Chandler and wife Joyce of Belleview,
Missouri, Garry Chandler and wife Sheila of Black, Missouri, Terry
Chandler and wife Kristi of Salem, Missouri and Timmy Chandler of
Boss, Missouri; sisters, Betty Pryor and husband Darrell of Viburnum,
Missouri, Kathy Bellinger and husband Leroy of Bradenton, Florida,

Visitation was held Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the
Wilson Mortuary Viburnum Chapel.
Funeral service was held Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at
the Wilson Mortuary Viburnum Chapel.
Interment was in the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery.

Kathryn Dee Ann Coddington
Kathryn Dee Ann Coddington was born on January 10, 1940 in Salem,
Illinois to William Ordel and Clara Nadean (Herndon) Pendelton and
passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in
St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 24 days.
On January 8, 1960 she was united in marriage to Carl G. Coddington
in Nevada, Missouri.
Kathryn Dee Ann loved being with her family and loved her
grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and sharing her home with
her husband, Carl and her beloved dogs. She loved her church, Bible
Baptist of Cuba.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara
Pendelton; two brothers, William H. Pendelton of Grove, Oklahoma and
Jerry Pendleton of California.
She is survived by her husband, Carl of the home in Cuba, Missouri;
daughters, Brenda (Lenny) Guinn of Fenton, Missouri, Vicky L. Painter
of St. Louis, Missouri; son, John Coddington of Cuba, Missouri; nine
grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother, Michael
(Jeannette) Pendleton of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and
friends.
Cremation has taken place at her request.
Guy Cooper
Guy Cooper of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, August 18, 1916 in
Dixon, Missouri to Robert Adam and Nevada Livingston Cooper and
passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the age of 97 years,
2 months and 20 days.
Guy served his country honorably in the United States Army during
WWII. When stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas, he was one of the last
Horse Calvary riders.
He married Bertha Gay Stevens on June 23, 1945 at Carsonville
Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two daughters
were born.
Guy graduated from Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, Missouri on
May 16, 1940 with an Associates Degree. He worked and retired as a
supply clerk for a wholesale medical supply company known as
A.S. Aloe, later called Brunswick Corporation. Guy was an ordained
deacon and minister and was a supply preacher for several churches
in the area. He was an active member of Delhi Baptist Church, Cuba,
Missouri and served in many leadership roles. He also, was the
Meramec Associational Church Training Director for many years. Guy
raised a huge garden every summer and sold his produce at the local
Farmer’s Market.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nevada Cooper;
wife, Bertha Cooper; brothers, Roy (Nora) Cooper, Glynn (Ruby) Cooper
and Ellis Cooper and sister-in-law, Mildred Cooper.
He is survived by his daughters, Dorothy (Bob) Nichols of Cuba,
Missouri and Judy (Stewart) Quittschau of O’Fallon, Missouri;
sister-in-law, Doris Cooper of Centralia, Missouri; grandchildren,
Stana (Jim) Gordon of Lohman, Missouri, Dena Sanders of Taylor,
Missouri, Liana (Greg) Denney of Centertown, Missouri, Jennie (Justin)
Schnieders and Joe (Teresa) Nichols, all of Jefferson City, Missouri,
Scott Quittschau and Ashley Quittschau, all of St. Louis, Missouri
and Casey Osorio of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; 17 great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral
service at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Joe Bruno officiating.
Burial was at the Enloe-Hodge Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba,
Missouri.
David R. Farris
David R. Farris of Bourbon, Missouri was born March 5, 1943 at Hinch,
Missouri to Richard “Ed” and Pauline Elizabeth (nee Baker) Farris and
passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Sullivan, Missouri at the
age of 70 years.
David was united in marriage to Barbara Havelka on June 1, 1963 at
Bem, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
David worked for Pearidge Mining Company, formerly Meramec Mining
Company, for nearly 39 years as an underground foreman and retired
as a welder on top. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and welding..
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Pauline Farris; two
brothers-in-law, Don Davis and Jim Waits.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Farris of the home;
daughter, Linda and husband Ron Martin of Bourbon, Missouri; son,
Kevin and wife Glenda Farris of Bourbon, Missouri; four grandchildren,
Ronnie Martin and fianceé Tori Bobbitt, Evin, Kendra and Aaron Farris,
all of Bourbon, Missouri; three sisters, Edwina and husband James
Britton of Cuba, Missouri, Rosemary and husband Luther Basham of
Bland, Missouri and Laverna Davis of Rolla, Missouri; one half sister,
Ava Waits of Portland, Oregon; brother-in-law, Vernon and wife Carol
Havelka of Owensville, Missouri; aunt, Sadie Woods of Sullivan,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at
the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Special
music was “How Great Thou Art,” “In the Garden” and “I’ll Fly Away.”
Pallbearers were Vernon Havelka, Hook Basham, Roger Havelka, Dale
Havelka, Rich Fleenor and James Britton.
Interment and prayers were at 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013
at the Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri.

Rosalie Mitchell
Rosalie Mitchell of St. James, Missouri was born September 18, 1922
in Germantown, Illinois to the late Henry William and Cecilia
(Husellman) Hagan and passed away November 9, 2013 at her home at
the age of 91.
In 1946 Rosalie Hagan was united in marriage to Angus Mitchell and
his son Angus Jr. making them a family of three until this union was
blessed with son Stanley. She was a longtime member of the First
Apostolic Church in Cuba, Missouri. Rosalie worked in the
manufacturing industry most of her working life. She enjoyed cooking
and baking, jigsaw puzzles, reading and watching Cardinal baseball.
She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren was
her greatest joy. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and
loved her.
Rosalie Mitchell is survived by her son, Stanley Mitchell and wife
Shirley of St. James, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Edith Mitchell of
Centralia, MO; brothers, Robert Hagan of St. Louis, Missouri and Joe
Hagan and wife Pat of Breeze, Illinois; sister, Monie Sarancino and
husband Dick of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Rebecca Ehrenreich,
William Mitchell, Ruth Ann Bates, Patricia Mabrey, Angus
Mitchell III, and Juanita Willmeth; a host of great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, extended family and freinds.
In addition to her parents Rosalie was preceded in death by her
husband, Angus Mitchell; son, Angus Mitchell JR; brothers, Tootie
and Bud Hagan; sisters, Marie Huster, Sister Jerome, and Sister
Bernadette.
Visitation for family and friends was Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at
the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services for Rosalie Mitchell was held Wednesday,
November 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the St. James Chapel of the James
& Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Keith Herrion officiating, and Darrell
and Betty Jordan providing the music.
Interment will be at the Flag Springs Cemetery with Angus
Mitchell III, Shawn Hartline, Steven Larue, Eddie Brickey, Bret
Buckley, and John Ehrenreich serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Bates JR, and Jeffery Bates.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Donald Virgil Pratt
Donald Virgil Pratt of St. Robert, Missouri was born June 13, 1939
at Bourbon, Missouri, to Virgil Ransom and Eula Viola (Richardson)
Pratt and passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in the General
Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Wood, at the age of
74 years.
On December 17, 1960 at Bourbon, Missouri he married Wilma Laverne
George.
He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Waynesville,
and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Pratt had been a truck driver for TLC Truck Lines, Fenton, for
39 years retiring in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Pratt of the home in St. Robert,
Missouri; two sons, Gary and Cindy Pratt of Steelville, Missouri
and Gregory and Amy Pratt of St. Robert, Missouri; one daughter,
Kelley and Matt Rider of Waynesville, Missouri; 13 grandchildren,
Tiffany, D.J., Ashley, Bryan, Broc, Dustin, Brandon, Zak, Caleb,
Austin, Cody, Mackenzie and Leah; six great grandchildren, Lilly,
Megan, Isabelle, Peyton, Bella and Mia; two brothers, Curtis and
Tommie Pratt of Camdenton, Missouri and Eugene and Norma Pratt of
Perryville, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Dye of Waynesville,
Missouri and Virginia Slankard of Bourbon, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at
the First Freewill Baptist Church in Waynesville, Missouri with
funeral services following at 11 a.m.
Interment was in the Dunkard Cemetery, St. Robert.
Arrangements under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the
Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
William Thomas Scafe
E6 William Thomas Scafe was born November 18, 1936 to Leroy Allen
and Vonda Mae Keebaugh Scafe and passed away November 1, 2013 at
the age of 76 years.
He touched countless lives in his 21 plus years of military service
and private life after retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Vonda Scafe;
his brother, Ted Scafe and an older sister, Barbara Scafe Erdman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, his “kitten” Charlene Marie
Crabtree Scafe; his sister, Patricia Scafe Jolly; four children,
William L. Scafe of Seoul, Korea, Mrs. Charles Herbert Sr. of Rolla,
Missouri, Mrs. Kim Farley of New Jersey and Thomas Scafe of
Blackduck, Minnesota and their spouses; 12 grandchildren and their
spouses; 16 great grandchildren; his VA family; other relatives and
friends.
