Brown of Knoxville, Illinois was born on July 21, 1948, to George and Sarah (Ray) Brown and passed away on November 4, at the age of 69 years. While attending Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU), Dennis met Mary Lou (Tillotson) Brown. They were married on March 28, 1970 in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from SMSU, Dennis and Mary moved to Indiana until 1988 when they finally settled in Knoxville, Illinois. They were married for 47 years and together for 50. Mary and Dennis had a wonderful life together filled with love and laughter. Dennis worked for Indiana Farm Bureau CO-OP for 19 years and Riverland FS for 23 years, retiring in 2011. After retirement Dennis and Mary enjoyed traveling adventures to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Gulf Shores, Alabama and the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Dennis' hobbies included hunting, fishing, and Indiana University basketball. He had a wonderful sense of humor and love for family and friends. Ellis Lee Copeland Ellis Lee Copeland of St. James, Missouri, was born November 11, 1930 at Safe, Missouri, to Fred Oscar and Bertha Mae (Southard) Copeland and passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, 24 days. Ellis married Maxine Carmen John on June 9, 1951 at the Broadway Baptist Church in rural St. James, Missouri. Ellis found Christ as his Lord and Savior May 12, 1946 and was baptized along with his father in Lane's Prairie Fork Creek near the Broadway Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in the Broadway Baptist Church in 1954. On 1955 they moved their membership to the First Baptist Church of St. James, Missouri. Ellis was accepted as a deacon and continued to serve through 2017. He was a deacon emeritus. He also served as music director for 25 years. Ellis spent 22 years working with International Shoes Company. In 1963 Ellis got his real estate license and worked part time for Carnahan Realtors in Rolla, Missouri. In 1964 he received his broker's license. In 1967 Ellis and Maxine opened their office known as Copeland Realtors. In 1971, they opened the real estate office at 417 North Jefferson St. James, Missouri until they retired in December 31, 2002. They remained active with real estate education and maintaining their designation and membership in the South Central Board of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Ellis received his "Graduate of Realtors Institute" designation; "Certificate Resident Specialist" in mid 1970; and "Certified Residential Broker" designation in 1980. He served in many real estate positions in the south central area: real estate appraiser from 1971 until 1994, president of the Central Board of Realtors three different times and state director for the local board of realtors for 12 years. He received "Realtor of the Year" three different times from the South Central Board of Realtors and he received the "Distinguished Service Award" by the Missouri Association of Realtors in 1991. He was active in the local St. James Chamber of Commerce, serving as president in 1980; he served many years in other capacities as a chamber member. Jerry graduated from Steelville High School 1959 and after graduation he joined the United States Navy. He served in the Navy from June 22, 1959 till July 26, 1963. Jerry continued with his machinist training and went to work for Schwitzer in Rolla, Missouri. After leaving Schwitzer, Jerry worked at Aerofil Technology and retired in 2004 after 20 years. Jerry married Charlotte Callahan on September 11, 1971 at Steelville, Missouri. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes. He was an avid sports fan and made whirly jigs. She married J.D. Rohrer on June 28, 2014. Cynthia was a graduate of the University of Missouri Columbia where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She later earned her Master's Degree. Professionally she began her career as a school teacher and later worked in Healthcare Administration Management for many years. Cynthia was a longtime Board Member of M.G.M.A., a National Healthcare Management organization. After leaving healthcare, Cynthia became a very successful entrepreneur and business owner in St. Louis, Missouri, winning various awards including the Small Business Administration's Missouri Small Business Team of the Year, where she was honored at The White House. She was also a recipient of the Top 50 Women Business Owners Award. She was a member of the National Association of Woman Business Owners and an active member of P.E.O. Her business supported various non-profit organizations through the years and she was very involved with the Alzheimer's Association and the Saint Louis University Mentor Program. "Butch" was his nickname and what most of his friends and family called him. He married Rosemary McCallister on July 6, 1968. Butch was employed by Brown Shoe for over 20 years, Pea Ridge Mine as a custodian and Meramec Caverns as a security guard. What he really enjoyed doing was logging, cutting wood and just being out in the woods. Butch was a guitar player and as a young man played in his own band. He really liked to play and sing for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, in his young days he liked to race cars and watch scary movies with Rosemary. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Walker; parents, Albert and Ethel (Thompson) Walker; two sisters, Virginia Schieble and Darlene Estel; and a half brother, Bill Hammon. He is survived by his five children, Tina Osborne of Piedmont, Missouri, Steven Walker of Potosi, Missouri, Tammy Walker and companion Bill Davis of Potosi, Missouri, Tonya Reed and husband Steve of Bourbon, Missouri and Amanda Perfetti and husband Nick of Sullivan, Missouri; 16 grandchildren, Billy Osborne Jr., Jennifer Osborne, Tiffany Reed, Dylan Osborne, Patrick Reed, Kayla Walker, Felicia Reed, Jasmine Davis, Steven Walker, Constance Davis, Amber Acosta, Brianna Davis, Jacob Walker, Justin Reed and Nicole and Helena Perfetti; six great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Lochlyn Zook Joseph Walker, Katalina Osborne, Kamden Bray and Layla Osborne; one brother, Robert Walker and wife Bonnie of Stanton, Missouri; one sister, Mary Jane Korman of Washington, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Cremation followed. Lawrence Edward Ware Lawrence Edward Ware of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Friday, December 30, 1949 in Cuba, Missouri to Estel Raymond and Rosella Marie (Chapman) Ware and passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Lawrence honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from June 18, 1969 till March 22, 1972. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device. After the service, Lawrence went to work for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and he retired from there after 30 years. He could be found every morning at the Circle "N", as he planned out his day. He believed in helping others, keeping everything in its place and looking nice. He was a member of the Bourbon A.L. Post #81. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Rosella Marie Ware; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Ware. He is survived by his son, Daniel and wife Anna Ware of Bourbon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ethan Protte, Izabell Ware and Daniel Lawrence Ware; three sisters, Berniece and husband Dale Quinton of West Fork, Arkansas, Elaine Steuernagel of Bourbon, Missouri and Kathy and husband Dave Lapp of Sarasota, Florida; one brother, Leonard and wife Tammy Ware of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Interment, prayers and full military honors followed at the Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Mary Lea Ware Mary Lea (Sneed) Ware of Cuba, Missouri was born May 9, 1937 to Jessie and Alma McKinnon and passed away November 10, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Mary worked for Dixon Public Schools for over 30 years. She loved to quilt and sew and bake for her family. She married William Raymond Sneed on October 4, 1956. He preceded her in death. She then met and married Charles D. Ware on April 26, 2002 in Rolla, Missouri. They were married for 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ware; daughter, Debbie Hickman; son, Dewayne Sneed of Columbia, Missouri; one step-son, Larry Ware; three step-daughers, Sherry Ware, Amey Ware and JoAnn Miles, all of Cuba, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Trisha Sneed, Luke Hickam of Columbia, Missouri, Arthur Kreienkamp, Catherine Kreienkamp, Kolleen Kreienkamp, Ashley Mesger, Mikayla Avery, Brianna and Brandon Fanchi, all of Cuba, Missouri; three great- grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Denton of Rolla, Missouri, Vivian Rowe of Boonville, Missouri, Kathy Addington of Birmingham, Alabama and Beverly Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Rick McKinnon of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Robert Thomas Watson Robert Thomas Watson of St. James, Missouri was born on April 10, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert Edward and Laurel Bradley Watson.passed away on November 1, 2017 at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was a free spirited person. He was a laborer all his life. He loved rock and roll music and loved to ride motorcycles. Robert was in the Hard Core Ministries for many years and worked at the Walmart D.C. He conducted CCW classes for many years and participated in the foster kids program and had over 60 children through his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Laurel Watson; and one brother, Michael Watson. He is survived by his wife of the home, Myrtle Marie Pankey Watson; sons, Robert E. Watson of Byrns Mills, Missouri, Benjamin Watson of Ellicottivie, New York, Jamey Bunton of Mt. View, Missouri, Jason Bunton of Edgar Springs, Missouri and James Stanley of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters, Cindy Mazzacone of Titusville, Florida and Jessica Donnelly of St. James, Missouri; brothers, Jack Watson of Carlyle, Illinois and Rick Watson of St. Clair, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Frank Brooks officiating. A melody of Pink Floyd music were played for his service. A continuation of celebration was at the Watson Garage where many good times were had.
