He enjoyed fishing, watching war movies, listening to country and western music and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Hazel (Copling) Beal; and three siblings, Jackie, Darlene and Rose Ellen Beal. He is survived by two sisters, Bea Spurgeon of Cuba, Missouri and Leona and husband James Doyle of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Lonnie Hayes of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Charles Lee Bridgeman Sr. Charles Lee Bridgeman Sr. was born in Sullivan, Missouri on October 3, 1960 to Jesse and Lucille (Brown) Bridgeman and passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the age of 60 years. He grew up in the Sullivan, Missouri area for the majority of his life until he began trucking. Up until his recent retirement, Charles spent his entire career as a truck driver, with his beloved dog, Boo, alongside him. He was always willing to help others on the road. Charles loved the simple things in life, such as fishing in his boat, deer hunting, sitting on his front porch drinking coffee or watching a timeless western movie. He was also known for being loud, yet soft. He would often play Santa Claus at Christmas time for the kids. Frank Frances Gnemi Frank Frances Gnemi of St. James, Missouri was born on October 8, 1919 to Carlo Charles Natalina Maria (Sachelli) Gnemi and passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 101 years. His father moved to the United States from Italy in 1907 and his mother and sister followed in 1911. They first settled in New York and then moved to Girard, Illinois where he was a coalminer. Around 1918, they moved to St. James, Missouri where they were farmers and grape growers. He married Alice Lorene Parrish on January 19, 1949 in Steelville, Missouri. During the war, Frank served in the Civilian Conservation Corps of Engineers primarily in Burns, Oregon and other places. He was a member of the laborers union, a farmer, a grape grower with a contract with Welch's Juice Company in Springdale, Arkansas. He worked in construction; he was a contractor building several homes and loved being on his bulldozer building ponds and lakes. He loved to go fishing to get the biggest catfish or gigging with his friends. He was an avid player of pinochle and horseshoes. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Natalina Gnemi; wife, Alice Lorene Parrish Gnemi on August 18, 2012; daughter, Kristie Gnemi; granddaughter, Lori Lee Gnemi; brothers, William (Bill) R. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon, Missouri graduating in the Class of 1947. Ida was also crowned one of Bourbon's May Day Queens in 1946. After graduation, Ida married Robert Horton on December 1, 1947. Ida was employed by I.G.A. for over 25 years, alongside her husband, Robert. Ida and Robert shared many treasured memories together in their 46 years of marriage, until Robert's passing in 1993. Ida was remarried to Delmar Loher on July 13, 1996. Ida and Delmar loved going dancing and were sure to attend every dance that they could. They also enjoyed spending time shopping and traveling. Ida was faithful to the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon, Missouri throughout her entire life. Both Ida and Delmar cherished serving within the church. Charles (Chip) Edward Parker Jr. Charles (Chip) Edward Parker Jr. was born on April 26, 1959 in Rolla, Missouri to Charles (Bill) Edward Sr. and Grace Lorene Gan Parker and passed away on November 12, 2020 at the age of 61 years. He was born 12 weeks premature and weighed less than two pounds at birth. Chip accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a follower of Christ for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Crocker High School in 1977 and obtained a Bachelors of Education in Industrial Arts in 1980 from Central Missouri State University. He was a teacher and coach for St. James Schools for several years and obtained a Masters Degree from Drury University in 1988. He married Sandy Bowman on June 21, 1986. In 1990 Chip began teaching and coaching for Rolla Junior High and later taught at Rolla Technical Institute for the remainder of his 30 year teaching career. He retired from the public school system in 2010, but continued teaching classes for Doe Run Mining Company until his passing. Chip loved woodworking, sports, learning new skills, finding (or getting) a good deal on anything. Anyone who met him would tell you he was funny, always telling jokes. He never knew a stranger and could have a conversation with just about anyone, even if he didn't know your name. Allen grew up in the Bourbon/Sullivan, Missouri area. Allen later married Joann Herzog in 1976. Allen worked various types of jobs, including Vess Soda. He eventually moved his family to Bourbon to call it his final home. For the past 21 years, Allen was employed by Jerry Berry Hauling. Allen enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, and especially enjoyed the river. He also loved to work on old cars, his favorite was a Ford Fairlane. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann who passed away in 1986; his parents, Louis and Naomi Ryerson; brother, Raymond Ryerson; and sister, Connie Ryerson. William Paul Scheider III William Paul Scheider III of St. James, Missouri was born on December 31, 1958 to William Paul Jr. and Betty Jane (Mahon) Scheider and passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the age of 61. At the age of 15, William went to work for Glenn Dressendofer on his farm in Vichy, Missouri. He worked for him on and off up until last year when his health would no longer allow. He loved working on the farm, working the cattle, hogs, driving the tractor. He went to work for the City of St. James in the Sanitation Department, before settling in the Street Department where he would spend the next 19 years. Every year he would ride in the Leroy Tipton Tractor Ride, proudly showing up in a John Deere. Tragedy struck in 1995 as his daughter Anita Wisdom was killed in an automobile accident, and again in 2009 when his son Robert Scheider was struck by a car killing him. William took everything in stride and pushed through, he was known to be a jokester with a big sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Betty Jane Scheider; children, Anita Wisdom and Robert Scheider; and brother, Bernard Scheider. Martha Louise Snodgrass Martha Louise (nee Drewel) Snodgrass of Steelville, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday, August 27, 1929 to George and Lucille (Taylor) Drewel and passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 8 days. Martha graduated from Maries County R-II High School in Belle, Missouri. She married James (Jim) Snodgrass in Owensville, Missouri on December 27, 1946. Martha worked as a secretary in Jims insurance companies, MFA and Shelter Insurance. In 1960 they moved from Owensville, Missouri to Steelville, Missouri. She was an active member of Steelville Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member and the treasurer of the church's Circle Women's Group until 1989. She enjoyed making food (including ground hog) for the church's famous annual ground hog dinner. She was great at making cakes and made them for Meals of Love, as well as wedding cakes. Martha enjoyed working with the Cub Scouts. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, vegetables, canning, crafts, art, quilting, crocheting and painting with both water colors and oil. Among her many other hobbies and chores, was sheep shearing which then entailed the old time wool arts. Martha Lee Switzer Martha Lee (nee Scott) Switzer was born on October 25, 1930 in Commerce, Missouri to John K. and Clara A. Leible Scott and passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 90 years and 13 days. She married Floyd Lee Switzer, or Pat as he was better known, on October 26, 1950 at St. Henry's in Charleston, Missouri. Martha was a second mother to her siblings. She made sure they got to school on time, ate their dinner, did their homework and went to church. Many years ago, Martha wanted to get a job and asked Pat if she could. He didn't really want her to but told her she could because he didn't think she could find one. Not only did she find a job, but she retired from Brown Shoe Company after working there for 20 years. Martha's favorite holiday was Christmas. She was a devout Catholic who loved celebrating her Lord's birth. It has always been a tradition to gather at her house on Christmas Eve until her house got too small for her growing family and we had to rent a pavilion. No matter how old you were, you knew you were expected to be at Grandma Switzer's on Christmas Eve. She made it a point to have something for every single person there, all 76 of them. Later that night, she enjoyed taking as many members of her family as she could to midnight mass. There were times when she'd fill up two pews or more. Martha loved to dance and won medals in the senior Olympics for her dancing skills. She listened to music all the time and would be moving to the beat in the living room or whenever the mood struck her. Wanda "Jean" Trent Wanda "Jean" (nee Tidwell) Trent of O'Fallon, Missouri was born January 20, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 81 years. She married Billy J. Trent on August 11, 1978. 27, 2017. Jean spent most of her career working for Marriott Corporation until her retirement in 2001. She was a devote Christian who enjoyed going to church. She loved bowling, music, singing, dancing and fishing. She always looked forward to spending time in the country, visiting family and friends, along with finding a good stream or pond to drop a fishing line in. She also enjoyed spending time "shopping" which her family knew really meant patronizing the local casino as her husband and children were generally tugged along. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy on October 27, 2017; mother, Effie "Mahaley" (Pyatt) Tidwell; daughter, Patricia "Robin" (Kuntz) Stratos; son, Michael K. Sherwood; son-in-law, David L. Fine; and siblings, Paul Tidwell, Leroy Tidwell, Millie Ufkin, Billie "Cleo" Amarine and Joey Tidwell. She is survived by her children, Jerry O. (Angela) Kuntz, Steven E. (Sue) Kuntz, Tamara K. (Alan) Tustin and Kimberly J. (Michael Cox) Fine; grandchildren, Marayia (Rich) Willman, Tricia Holleran, Ryan (Christine) Kuntz, Jeanne (Bojan) Kvesic, Melissa (Josh) Gruver, Andrew (Marie) Tustin, Zachary (Sammi) Fine, Kyle (Erin) Tustin, Samantha (Josh) Queen and Venita Kuntz; 18 great grandchildren; and siblings, Fred Tidwell, Elmer (Mary) Tidwell, Joan (Bob) Bosma and Terry (Jane) Tidwell; other relatives and friends. Hallie Bernice Turnbough Hallie Bernice (nee Barr) Turnbough of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, November 10, 1920 and passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020, three days shy of her 100th birthday. Hallie had looked forward to this milestone and had already enjoyed numerous cards and well wishes from family members and friends. Hallie was raised in the Belgrade, Missouri area. At a young age she worked as a caregiver, a profession she would return to in later years as a senior companion and continue in through her 80's. In between, she worked at various factories. Hallie was a woman of strong faith. She loved gospel and country music and could pick a guitar, a skill she passed on to her sons. She spent her "golden" years living with her sister, Ann and was fortunate to spend the last two and a half years sharing a room with Ann at Cuba Manor, with Betty in the room next door. Hallie, Betty and Ann were known to many as the Golden Girls (or the Three Musketeers, depending on what they had been up to.) She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Turnbough; parents, Fred and Susan (Evie) Barr; brothers, Jack Barr and Glenwood Barr; and sister, Dorothy Barr Turnbough. Hallie is survived by her children, Judy and Bob Barlows of Overland Park, Kansas, Mike and Evelyn Turnbough of Steelville, Missouri, Rick and Shelly Turnbough of Bourbon, Missouri and Tim and Josie Turnbough of Cuba, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Brian and Scott Barlows, Joe, Jason, Brandon, Eric and Josh Turnbough, and Kelsey Pieber; 11 great grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley, Brett, Kevin, Jagger, Carson, Jack, Hallie Taylor, William, Murphy, and Hazel; and two great, great grandchildren, Dillon and Sage; three sisters, Betty Tiner of Cuba Missouri, Ann Hartwick of Cuba Missouri and Peggy Brey of Michigan; other relatives and friends. Rosalene Alice Turnbough Rosalene Alice (nee Turnbough) Turnbough of Davisville, Missouri was born Friday, July 27, 1934 in Davisville, Missouri to Emery and Litha Martin Turnbough and passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 86 years. As a young girl, she would walk by herself to the Davisville Church. She was saved at the age of eight and served the Lord ever since. While pumping gas at her father's garage, she met Wilbur "Jake" Turnbough. Rosalene and Jake were united in marriage on Saturday, January 29, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. Rosalene and Jake lived in St. Louis, Missouri during their younger years. She worked for National Garment and Carps Dept. Store as well as babysat. In 1973 they moved to Cuba, Missouri and in the early 1980’s they moved to Davisville, Missouri. Rosalene loved to cook, make quilts and clothing. She enjoyed watching game shows, such as Wheel of Fortune and shopping networks along with watching Jimmy Swaggert. She also enjoyed going to church as long as her health allowed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Turnbough; parents, Emery and Litha Turnbough; parents-in-law, Thurber and Lillie Turnbough; brothers and sisters, Roy (Helen) Turnbough, Richard (Irene) Turnbough, Troy Turnbough, Lawrence (Bonnie) Turnbough, Ellis Turnbough, Bonnie Welker and Geraldine Turnbough; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leahman Pierce, Willard Turnbough, Wilma (RIley) Todd, Zelma (Vondel) Callahan and William (Kaye) Turnbough. Visitation was held from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2020 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hartley and Rev. Ron Walter officiating.
