Campbell of Town & Country, Missouri formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to William and Virginia (Buckner) Campbell on March 8, 1927 in Strafford, Missouri and passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Mari de Villa Retirement Center in Town & Country, Missouri at the age of 85 years. Willard retired as Vice President of Fleming Manufacturing Company after many years of dedicated service. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Campbell; two wives, Louise (Vitali) Campbell and Almeda (Howdeshell) Campbell; one son, Keith Campbell; one grandson, SSGT William Christopher Campbell; two brothers, Delmar and Leonard Campbell; three sisters, Ethel Poyner, Edna “Madge” Coble and Mittie Ford. Mildred Joan Goff Mildred Joan Goff, of Bourbon, Missouri was born November 7, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Emerson Louis and Mildred Fisher Knost and passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 87 years. She and Gerald Dean Goff were married Feburary 2, 1946 in Kirkwood, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Joan was well known in the Bourbon and Sullivan areas, having worked at Bourbon Rexall Drug, Somerville’s Store and other local businesses. She was characterized by her excellent sense of humor, her deep love for her family and her God Jehovah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Mildred Knost and an infant brother. She is survived by her husband Gerald; two sons, Geoffrey Dean Goff of St. Clair, Missouri and William Andrew Goff and wife Jeri of St. Clair, Missouri; daughter, Martha Jo Sanchez and husband Jose of Bourbon, Missouri; brother, David Knost and wife Marie of Afton, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri Glen Grayson Noel Glen Grayson was born on September 11, 1928 in Steelville, Missouri and passed away on November 16, 2012 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 5 days. Glen attended the Steelville Public Schools and graduated from Steelville High School in 1946. In 1946 he volunteered for the United States Army and served his country including duty in Japan.  He was honorably discharged in 1949. He was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Steelville in October 1949. While there he served as Shop Steward and President of the local union. In 1965 he was asked to work for the United Food and Commercial Union as an International Representative.  Glen served 21 years working for workers and laborers across the country. He retired in 1984. Glen married Shirley Dingley, and their marriage was blessed with four children. The family spent countless joyful hours together fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and enjoying Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, family birthdays and gatherings. Glen was a farmer.  He passed the life lessons he learned from his grandfather on to his sons and grandsons. Hawkins of Sullivan, Missouri was born on May 27, 1929 to Charles and Annie (Miller) Palmer at Sullivan, Missouri and passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her home at the age of 83 years. On March 9, 1946 she was united in marriage to Elmer Hawkins at Union, Missouri and they were blessed with eight children. Leaverna enjoyed playing bingo with her family and friends in her free time. She was a dedicated Christian being baptized on May 3, 1959 at the age of 29 by Brother Russell F. McCafferty at St. Clair.  Leaverna enjoyed singing and was a song leader at several of the churches she attended. Recently she attended the Pentecostal Worship Center in Sullivan. Leaverna celebrated her home going surrounded by her loving family on Saturday. Hoshaw of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, October 29, 1920 at Newton County, Indiana to George E. and Lula (nee Benight) Lane and passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 92 years and 18 days. Esther was united in marriage to Vernon Hoshaw on June 8, 1940 at Crown Point, Indiana and to this union two children were born. Esther worked for many years as a seamstress for the men’s clothing store and at the voter registration in Crown Point, Indiana. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and belonged to a league that traveled the United States playing in tournaments. She was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader as her children were growing up. After moving to Cuba, Esther was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, played Bridge and Pinochle at the Cuba Senior Center and enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren. Clarence had been a truck driver for many years and worked as a maintenance man in Pensacola, Florida for 15 years before retiring to the Cuba area. In 1991 at Gerald, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Walter Leimkuehler. She was a member of the Viburnum Christian Church. Cathy was a big supporter of the VFW and a member of the ACLJ and ASPCA. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, riding horses and just being outside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruby Coleman; her husband, Walter Leimkuehler in 2004; and one daughter, Rhonda Ruble. She was born and raised in Bland, Missouri and graduated from Bland High School as Valedictorian in 1950.  She was baptized at Leduc Methodist Church.  After high school she went to secretarial school and after graduation she went to work for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri and later went to work for Pratt & Whitney Air Craft in Connecticut. Fern was united in marriage to Robert E. Allen in 1956 and to that union two daughters were born. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Belvia Smith; first husband, Robert E. Allen and second husband, Thomas Miller; sisters, Beatrice Christopher, Geneva Snodgrass; twins, Zelda Smith and Zeldine Smith and Ella May Roberson; and brothers, Milton Smith, Harry Smith and Eugene Allen Smith. William served his country honorably as a Seabee in the United States Navy in Guam for two years. He worked for the U.S. Forestry Service for 37 years. He was a Mason for 60 years with the Blue Lodge at Lesterville, Missouri. He was a member of the 601 American Legion at Davisville, Missouri for 52 years. He loved to fish and hunt with his great grandchildren. He was always there to help friends as well as strangers. He gave his body to Washington University. She lived in Herculaneum, moving to Sullivan, Missouri in 1965. Rose was a waitress and restaurant owner all of her life. She was a hard worker, generous and giving. She never met a stranger and loved her customers dearly.  Her customers loved her too as many followed her to whatever restaurant she was operating. Rose always had great food and knew how to take care of her customers.  She started her waitressing career at Mom Lahmann’s, and later worked for Mary McIvor. She waitressed at Tri County Restaurant at Hi Low Court and opened her first place, the Rose Bowl on Main Street in Sullivan. She and the Beeman’s opened Mid Town Café in the 70’s and in the 80’s Rosa Plaza Menu. Rose also owned and operated several Cafés in Owensville, Bourbon and Cuba. Her last employment was at Branson, Missouri for Grand Country Buffet. Rose liked antiques and after retirement spent time outdoors working in her flowers and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Cora Holley; her husband, Commodore Stewart; two children, Janet Cook and Dennis Hill and one sister, Juanita Cain. On January 21, 1956 Betty Yates was united in marriage to the late James Willis and to this union four children were born. She enjoyed quilting, going to yard sales, and taking care of her family. Betty and James were blessed with a special son Ricky. Betty had dedicated herself to the care and well being of Ricky until her death.
