Jim married Sheila Harmon on July 8, 1972 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Leslie, Missouri. He began working as a brick layer for MST Masonry in Spring Bluff, Missouri. He later was a member of the Brick Layers Local #1 and worked in St. Louis, Missouri from 1978-2001. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren. He attended Bible Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Brown and Pearl Mae Sudholt Brown; mother-in-law, Donna Harmon; and brother-in-law, Mike Garrett. Jerry Ray Joseph Carey Jerry Ray Joseph Carey of Sullivan, Missouri was born on April 21, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph Anthony and Elsie Elizabeth (Reitz) Carey and passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the age of 83 years. He attended the Miller Grade School and Sullivan High School class of 1951. Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. It was in the military that he learned about electronics. After coming home from the Army, Jerry worked in T.V. repair for his mother and stepfather, John Figone. On November 6, 1954 Jerry married Viva Lou Key at St. Anthony Catholic Church, In 1962 Jerry and Viva Lou purchased the family business, Jerry's T.V., operations started and has continued as a Sullivan, Missouri fixture into the present. Jerry faithfully attended all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. He coached little league baseball for many years and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, family float trips and many family fun days by their pool. Jerry also loved dancing with Viva Lou. Jerry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3781 and St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elsie Figone; and sister, Catherine "Dolly" Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Viva Lou Carey of Sullivan, Missouri; five children, Cathy Schatz and husband Terry, Debbie Senters and husband Brad, Alan Carey and wife Patti, Randy Carey and wife Cindy and Tammy Rohrer and husband Brian, all of Sullivan, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild on the way; one sister, Lolita Figone Borchering and husband Brad of New Haven, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Barbara Joan Railey Barbara Joan Railey of High Gate, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 13, 1940 and passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 77 years. She later moved to the state of California, where she lived, with her aunt Alma. Barbara was the daughter of Otto Perry Christeson, and wife Beulah, and Virginia "Bernice" Belcher and husband Jerry. While in California, Barbara met her husband Ernest "Ernie" Edward Railey. They were married for 57 years. During Barbara's early year, she was employed, at Mattel Toys, where she work production "making Barbie." Later her and husband opened a trucking company, Mr. Express. They ran it together, for many years. Barbara and Ernest shared four biological children, and two foster children. She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Christeson and wife Beulah; her mother, Virgina Belcher and husband Jerry; aunt, Alma Railey; son-in-law, James Christeson; brothers, William Christeson and Steven Christeson; and sister, Carolyn Gonsalez. She is survived by children, David A. Hansen John Rinehart Hansen John Rinehart of St. James, Missouri was born on July 2, 1922 to Augusta Matilda (Skouby) and Herchell Ezro Rinehart at Royal, Missouri and passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 15 days. Hans was a store manager for Kroger's for many years. Hans was a resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri since October 30, 2012. Hans served in the United States Army from November 10, 1942 to February 12, 1946. He served on a tank corps and was on his way to Japan when the bomb was dropped. He was sent to the Philippines instead. He earned the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon and the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon. After discharge from the Army, he was employed by Kroger for more than 30 years. He married Thelma Fern Moreland in 1955. He served on the Rural Fire Department board for 16 years. He loved to play softball and was a very good ball player. He played softball in St. James, Missouri and was nominated for Player of the Year. After he retired he drove school bus. He bought horses, mules and ponies for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herchell and Augusta Rinehart; two brothers, Morris Branstetter and William Herschell Rinehart; one sister, Mary Catherine Frost; two sisters-in-law, Mary Belle Rinehart and Frances Branstetter; and one brother-in-law, Garth Frost. Joseph Andrew "Joe" Smith Joseph Andrew "Joe" Smith of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, October 2, 1966 to John D. and Janet (nee Tayloe) Smith and passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the age of 51 years. Joe was a graduate of the Cuba High School. After graduation, he attended South East Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri where he earned a degree in Quality Control. Joe worked at Georgia Pacific for almost a year before his health began to decline. In later part of 1991 Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and he had to move back to Cuba, Missouri from Wyoming. Growing up, Joe enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing and just being outside. He spent hours doing woodworking and made many things including canes. Joe also spent time playing golf and riding his four-wheeler. Since October of 2006 Joe has been at Cuba Manor. For the last many years, Joe has been an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and he rarely missed watching the game on TV. He was a longtime member of Trinity Chapel Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Missouri and always enjoyed every Sunday that he got to be there. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Trowbridge John T. Trowbridge of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday, April 18, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia to James Earnest and Mabel Lavina (Thacker) Trowbridge and passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 29 days. John accepted the Lord at a young age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri. He married Norma Dean Rowan on November 27, 1987 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri. He worked as a Head Mechanic at Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, Missouri for 35 years. He later drove a bus and was a mechanic for the Steelville R-III School District. He retired at age 70. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and gigging. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mabel Trowbridge; daughter, Karen Trowbridge; son, James Daniel Trowbridge; grandchildren, Rebecca Murphy. Bobby Joe Wideman Bobby Joe Wideman, known to most as Bob, of St. Clair, Missouri, was born in St. Clair on May 21, 1938 to Edward and Estella Marie Wideman (nee Busse) and passed away on November 10, 2017 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 9 days. On March 28, 1958 he married Phyllis Carole Van Leer. Bob was a Christian and long time member of St. John United Church of Christ in St. Clair, Missouri. During his working career he owned and managed Ferrell Gas Company in St. Clair, Missouri. He was an experienced heating and cooling technician. Bob was proud to have served his country in the United States Army National Guard, retiring after 27 years of service to the company. He was a member of Easter Lodge 575 AF & AM and the Order of Eastern Star, St. Clair Chapter 96 in St. Clair, as well as the Kiwanis Club. Bob was a founding member of the Route 66 Car Club, having a passion for old cars. He loved his 1952 Chevy and over time had owned and restored several others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Estella Wideman; and his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wideman.
