Linda Kaye Blankenship
Linda Kay Blankenship of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Saturday,
October 18, 2003 at the age of 57 years. Linda was born September 11, 1946
to Harvey and Velta Mallow Harman and had lived the majority of her life in
the Sullivan and Bourbon areas. On March 6, 1965 she was united in marriage
to Earl Blankenship at Steelville, Missouri and to this union two daughters
were born.Linda was an employee of the Sullivan Precision Metal Finishing
Company in Sullivan where she managed the Shipping and Receiving Department.
She was known as a person who was fun loving, enjoyed singing and playing the
guitar, and who would help other people in need by organizing Benefits for them.
Linda was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Russell Schmidt V.F.W. Post No.
3987 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie No. 3781.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Heiney and husband David of
Ellisville, Missouri and Danielle Bandy of Sullivan, one brother, Ronald Harman
of Rockaway Beach, Mo., a special aunt, Geraldine Bandy of Sullivan, three
grandchildren, Nicholas Dunne, Timothy Bandy and Kayla Heiney, other relatives
and friends. Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband
Earl and a brother Richard Harman. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on
Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan
with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment was in Holy Martyrs of Japan
Cemetery. Visitation for Linda K. Blankenship was held from 5-9 Monday,
October 20, 2003 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Memorial services were
conducted at 7 p.m. Monday evening by the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies
Auxiliary followed by V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary services at 7:30 p.m. at the
funeral home.
Keith Wayne Meyer
Keith Wayne Meyer of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri was born on August 25, 1970
at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Ray Earnest Meyer and Nancy Clare Moore
Meyer and passed away on November 14, 2003 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri at
the age of 33 years, 2 months and 19 days. On July 28, 1995 Keith was united
in marriage to Jackie Chambliss at Corpus Christi, Texas. They have been
happily married for eight years. Keith graduated from the Cuba R-2 High School
and then went into the Navy and was honorably discharged from the Navy. After
leaving the Navy Keith graduated from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He then worked for 11 years for the Sikorsky Inc. in Corpus Christi, Texas. He
then entered the United States Army and obtained the rank of First Lieutenant.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife Jackie
Meyer; parents Ray and Nancy Meyer; grandmother Ann Shockley; step-daughter
Charlotte Baldwin and husband Charles; two brothers, Jim Meyer and Mike Meyer
and wife Bobbi; two sisters Tricia Harris and husband Matt and Robyn Beavers and
husband Duane; three grandchildren, Andrew, Jared and Jeremiah Baldwin;
brothers-in-law Eddie Chambliss and wife Gwen, Jerry Chambliss and wife Cindy;
sister-in-law Jeannie Dugan and husband Jimmy; nieces; nephews; other relatives
and many friends. Keith was a loving husband, son, grandson, stepfather, brother,
grandfather, brother-in-law, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly
missed. Keith Wayne Meyer was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
where funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. with
Chaplain Douglas Ochner officiating. Full military honors was provided by Ft.
Leonard Wood Army Base. Internment as in the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Mo.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Mo.
John Levi Mitchell
John Levi Mitchell was born on June 27, 1910 at Bourbon, Missouri to the
union of John Henry Mitchell and Cindy Snelson Mitchell and passed away
at Steelville, Missouri on November 19, 2003 at the age of 93 years 4 months
and 22 days. In 1952 John was united in marriage to Ethel June Snider in
Arkansas. They were happily married until Ethel preceded him in death on
April 10, 1997. John was also preceded in death by his parents and three
sisters. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his son
Ed Mitchell and wife Joan; one daughter Lila Walker and husband Kenneth;
four grandchildren, Keith Walker, Scott Mitchell and wife Sandy, Steve
Mitchell and wife Amy and Shellee Mitchell; two nieces Catherine Nelson
and Edna Booker; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; other
relatives and friends. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother,
good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. John Levi Mitchell
was in state at the Britton Fuenral Home of Cuba, Missouri where funeral
services were held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Gary Mace
officiating. Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. All
arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Leonard Morris Ray
Leonard Morris Ray of Cuba, Missouri was born on November 8, 1933 in
Leasburg, Missouri to the union of James Ray and Alice Halbert Ray and passed
away on November 18, 2003 at the Cuba Manor, Cuba, Missouri at the age of
70 years and 10 days. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; one son
Morris Harold Ray; and three brothers, Wilbur Ray, Bert Ray and James Howard
Ray. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving son
Eric Ray of Bixby, Mo.; one brother Curtis Ray and wife Carol; five sisters,
Nannie King, Velma Fife, Mildred Westrich and husband Sylvester, Mary Alice Land,
and Gertrude White and husband Jim; two grandchildren Kyle and Charity Ray;
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Leonard was a loving father,
brother, grandfather, uncle and good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly
missed.Leonard Morris Ray was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
where funeral services were held on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. with
Rev. Jack Shepherd officiating. Interment was in the Crossroad Cemetery, Leasburg,
Mo. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Mo.
