Jacquelyn M. Grosfield
Jacquelyn M. (Hunt) Grosfield of Glen Carbon, Illinois formerly of
Bourbon, Missouri, was born on January 5, 1984 to Richard L. Hunt and
Deborah K. Gahr at St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Wednesday,
November 21, 2012 at the age of 28 years, 10 months and 16 days.
At the age of three she moved to Bourbon and attended and graduated from
Bourbon High School Class of 2002. Jacquelyn was very active in sports,
participating in cheerleading, track, basketball and softball. She was a
very fun loving, vivacious, larger than life person, who had a way of
bringing everyone together. Some of her high school accomplishments
include; Homecoming Queen and Senior Carnival Queen.
On April 1, 2010, Jacquelyn was united in marriage to Carter J. Grosfield
at Keysville, Missouri.
She graduated from the National School of Cosmetology and was employed as
a stylist until being involved in a major traffic accident on June 5, 2012.
Since that time Jacquelyn had been fighting to get back to her stronger,
healthier self.
Jacquelyn was baptized at St. Francis Catholic Church in Bourbon,
confirmed at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla, and attended Holy Cross
Catholic Church in Cuba, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard Hunt Sr., Jack and
Dorothy (Stroub) Gahr and Fred and Hazel Dicus.
She is survived by her husband, Carter Grosfield of Glen Carbon, Illinois;
her father, Richard Hunt of St. Louis, Missouri; her mother and step-
father, Deborah (Gahr) Dicus and husband, Jack of Bourbon, Missouri;
paternal grandmother, Rhetha Osmack of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother,
James Dicus of Bourbon, Missouri; two sisters, Renee Richardt and friend,
Jordan Moore of St. Louis, Missouri and Anna Stout of St. Louis, Missouri;
one nephew, Alexander Stout; parents-in-law, Robert and Sandy Grosfield of
Kansas and George and Paula Gillaspie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Eaton Funeral
Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday,
November 26, 2012 from Holy Cross Catholic Church, Cuba, Missouri with
Rev. Father James Finder officiating.

Lois Ann Hencken
Lois Ann Hencken was born on March 28, 1935 to Henry and Louis (Sudmeyer)
Hencken in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at the Golden Living Center
St. James on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the age of 77 years, 7 months
and 22 days.
She is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Louise Hencken; one brother,
Martin Henry Hencken; and friend, John Welch.
She is survived by family, Adelia Welch of St. James, Missouri, John Welch
and wife Tanya, Patricia Eickhorst and husband Larry of St. James, Missouri,
James Welch and wife Holly, Pam Tomasovic and husband Mike; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10 a.m.
at the Jones Funeral Home chapel in St. James, Missouri with Paul Goddard
officiating.
Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. at the New Bethlehem Cemetery
in St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Virgie Alvena Huston
Virgie Alvena Huston (nee Smith) of St. James, Misssouri was born on
March 4, 1924 in Vichy, Missouri to Lawrence and Lula (Bunton) Smith and
passed away on November 24, 2012 at her home at the age of 88 years.
She married Charles Benton Huston on October 27, 1940.
She enjoyed her family, life on the farms in Vichy and Belle, Missouri,
attending Church at the local Church of Christ, playing the guitar and
singing. She lived her life to the fullest with constant work: raising
her children, milking cows, delivering pigs, working the fields, then
working in the local factories.
Alvena and Charles retired in St. James, Missouri at which time she
enjoyed traveling to spend time with her sons George and Jim’s families
in Hermiston, Oregon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Huston; infant son,
Edward; son, George Huston; grandson, James B. Huston Jr; siblings,
Anderson J. Smith, Edith Beatty, Juanita Pottgen, Ethyl Dagget, Maxine
Litzsinger, and Lois Jean Hollinger.
She is survived by daughter, Phyllis A. Hollingsworth; daughter-in-law,
Blanche Huston; two sons, James B. Huston (Shirley) and Charles Don
Huston (Denise); 12 grandchildren, Debbie Schwaller (Danny), Roger
and Dale (Janine) Hollingsworth, Cherie Robins (Kelly), Janelle Hopkins
(Marty), Jason Huston, Heather Christian (Travis), Shannon Davis (Ron),
Shane and Matthew Huston, Miranda Range (Eugene), and Sabrina Huston;
19 great grandchildren, Kayci, Megan, Rachel, Jessica, Bryin, Jareth,
Kiani, Kayla, Cutter, Tyson, Jake, Emile, Saira, Adam, Ayrin, Calab,
Ashton, Lucas, and Levi; three great great grandchildren, Liana, Austin,
and Avalynn; siblings, Gertrude Martin, James H. Smith, and Lavaughn
Albertson; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012
at the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Services were held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the
St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Lynn Huggins
officiating.
Interment was in the Walker Cemetery in Vichy, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
Daryl Richard Kershaw
Daryl Richard Kershaw of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 22, 1945 in
Rapid City, South Dakota passed away at his home on Thursday,
November 22, 2012 at the age of 67 years.
Daryl spent many years working on the Oil Rigs in Texas as a Support
Crew member. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Catherine Kershaw;
one sister-in-law, Sandra Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Stacy) Kershaw of Cuba, Missouri;
two daughters, Corrine and Colleen Kershaw; three step-daughters,
Carla Easterling of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Theresa Williams of St. Charles,
Missouri, Tammara Shy of Washington State; one brother-in-law, Harold Rush
Limbaugh of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Susie Kramer of Granite
City, Illinois, Joyce Santonge of Sullivan, Missouri; grandchildren;
step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; other relatives and
friends.
Daryl was cremated according to his wishing.
Interment will follow at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery.

Kimberly Ann Kruse
Kimberly Ann Kruse of Indian Trail, North Carolina passed away on
November 19, 2012, at the Union County Hospice at the age of 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Kruse; grandmother, Alice
Doyle and uncle, Charles Ballard.
She is survived by her mother, Sandy Kruse; brothers, Kevin and Jeff Kruse;
grandfather, Sam Doyle; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 a.m.
at the First Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri.
Cecile Lorn Midyett
Cecil Lorn Midyett of Sullivan, Missouri was born on January 8, 1931 in
Viburnum, Missouri to Corby Lawrence and Dora Medley Midyett and passed
away at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday,
November 15, 2012 at the age of 81 years.
Cecil served his country honorably in the United States Army during the
Korean War.
He married Venita Harmon on March 16, 1954 in Berryman, Missouri and to
this union five children were born.
He worked at various jobs: Hardwood Charcoal Plant, Swan Construction,
a Security Guard and lastly retired from Steelville Public Schools as a
janitor. His hobbies were watching wrestling and dirt track racing,
camping and spending time on the river. He was a member of the Cuba VFW
Post 7147 and American Legion Post 522.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Corby and Dora Midyett; sisters,
Gladyne (Bill) Newman, Velma (Joe) Bailey and Carol McMillan; brother,
Lloyd Midyett, brother-in-law, Tom Bailey, son-in-law, John Pranker; and
great grandson, Colton Thomas Larrison.
He is survived by his children, Glenda (Lester) Bridgeman of Cuba,
Missouri, Jerry (Pam) Midyett of Chetopa, Kansas, Gary (Donna) Midyett
of Sullivan, Missouri, Patty Pranker of Parsons, Kansas and Sue (Kevin)
Harms of Harwood, Missouri; sisters, Rosie Bailey and Tessie (Gus) Head
of Steelville, Missouri; companion, Dot Land of Steelville, Missouri;
sister-in-law, Connie Midyett of Cuba, Missouri; 17 grandchildren;
27 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, November 19, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral
service Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Roger Taber officiating.
Burial was at the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery, Viburnum, Missouri with
full military honors.
Pallbearers were the grandsons.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri.
Mary Ann Pety
Mary Ann Petty of St. James, Missouri was born February 3, 1922 in
St. James, Missouri to Jefferson Davis and Elizabeth Liza Jane Parrish Cox
and passed away Wednesday November 21, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in
St. James at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 18 days.
Mary Ann was married to Ralph Clark on November 18, 1939, and he passed away
in 1979. She then married Roy Petty on January 29, 1983 and he passed away
in 1986.
She is survived by daughter, Helen Welch and husband Jim of St. James,
Missouri; sons, George Clark and wife Wanda of Salem, Missouri, Marvin
Clark and wife Linda of Rolla, Missouri; step-daughter, Joyce Petty of
Grand Junction, Colorado; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren;
13 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday November 24, 2012 at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday November 25, 2012 at
the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Don Carson officiating.
Burial was in the St. James Cemetery.
Arrangements under the directions of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Allan Satterfield
Allan Satterfield of Republic, Missouri was born May 8, 1926 in Eldon,
Missouri to Ellis and Grace (Southard) Satterfield and passed away on
Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012 at the age of 86 years.
He was united in marriage to Helen Shanks on June 4, 1949, in Bland,
Missouri.
They began their married life in Belle, Missouri, later moving to Rolla,
Missouri, where they lived until the move to Republic in the year 2000.
They joined the Republic First Baptist church at that time.
Allan was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII.
He was a route salesman, retiring from Butternut Bread Company and was a
member of the Teamsters union. He was an avid vegetable gardener and loved
his pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Grace Satterfield and
a brother, Wray Satterfield.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; his son, Karl Satterfield
and partner David Stone of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters and
their spouses, Gayle and Rusty Cooper of Republic, Missouri and Karen and
David Colgrove of Warsaw, Missouri; five grandchildren; five great
grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Satterfield of Union, Missouri;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the
Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri with a Celebration of Life
following at 2 p.m.
A second visitation was held from 1-2:30 p.m. and the service at 2:30 p.m.
on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla,
Missouri.
Burial followed in the Ozark Memorial Gardens in Rolla, Missouri with
military honors presented by the U.S. Navy Memorial Honors Team and the
Rolla VFW Post #2025.
Kevin Lee Young
Kevin Lee Young of Cuba, Missouri was born on May 18, 1954 in Omaha,
Nebraska and passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home at the
age of 58 years.
Kevin worked at UPS for several years and at Jim’s Motors in Cuba.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores M. (Bruner) Sego; and
step-father, William “Bill” Sego.
Survivors include his two children, Heather Winters of Kissimmee, Florida
and Andrew Young of Orlando, Florida; father, John Young of Windsor,
Colorado; one brother, Michael and wife Laura Young of Monogahela,
Pennsylvania; one sister, Deborah and husband Joe Tarnowski of West
Chester, Pennsylvania; other relatives and friends.
As per his wishes Kevin was cremated.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba,
Missouri.
