She entered eternal life Thursday, November 15, 2001, in the Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 26 days. On September 29, 1934, at the home of her parents, Charles and Myrtle Green, Virginia was united in marriage, by Justice of the Peace Herman Parrett, to Howard Wilbur Brown. Five sons and two daughters were born to this union. They enjoyed over 65 years together before his death Friday, August 4, 2000. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a one year old son, Robert Brown; two brothers, Glen Green and wife Jess, and Cordell Green and one sister Delpha and husband Harry Brown; son-in-law, Bill Dunn. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Duel Eaton, Ed Brown, Harrison Brown, Mabel and John Green, James Quinton, Edna Hutson, Walter Brown and Harold "Bud" Brown; one grandson, Arnold Lee Abney; one great-granddaughter Courtney Brown. Billy Elwood Dunn Billy Elwood Dunn was born Thursday, February 28, 1931, at Plato, Mo., a son of the late William Henry Dunn and Julia May (Moses) Dunn. He entered eternal rest Saturday, November 10, 2001, at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Sullivan, Mo., at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 14 days. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Bobby and Norman Dunn and one sister, Faye Dotson. On May 21, 1977, Bill was united in marriage to Nedra Jane Brown, daughter of Virginia (Green) and Howard Brown. They have enjoyed 24 years together. Bill graduated from Lesterville High School, Flat River Jr. College and Washington University. He served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 as a radio operator and spent time in Occupied Germany. He taught school for 18 years and was self-employed as a carpenter the last several years. Odell Leland Evans Odell Leland Evans was born Saturday, September 16, 1933 in Shirley, Mo. to the late Roy Sherman Evans and Edna Elizabeth Mabe and departed this life Saturday, November 17, 2001 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo. at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 1 day. Odell married Patricia Hutchings on August 4, 1956 and to this union three daughters were born. Odell accepted the Lord as his personal Savior a number of years ago. Odell served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict reaching the rank of Specialist 3rd Class. Odell worked for General Motors as a bond right attendant until his retirement. He and Patricia moved to Vichy, Mo. from Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1986. Odell enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, had a real green thumb when it came to his flowers, he enjoyed fishing and liked to joke. Odell was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Edna (Mabe) Evans, and one grandson David Evans. 'Ted' Jennemann, passed away November 14, 2001; he leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Doris (nee Schaefer); and was the caring father of Jan Jennemann, Jody Senf and JoAnne Richard (David); grandfather of Amy Lombardo (Tony), Nicole George (Tom), Adam Johnson, Cassandre Richard, Rachel and Stephen Senf; great-grandfather of Dominque George and Camryn Lombardo; dear brother of Barbara Billen (Earl), Vincent Jennemann, Doris Grebas, Deanna Kemp, Glenn Jennemann (Pat) and Eileen Loney (Bob); preceded in death by his parents, John Walter and Edna Ann; and his brothers, Walter Jr., Donald and David. Floyd Alvin King Floyd Alvin King of Sullivan, Mo., husband of Ina Walker King and son of the late Royal and Irene Ellis King, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at the age of 76 years. Mr. King was born at Leasburg, Mo. on November 12, 1925. On January 18, 1948 he was married to Ina Walker at St. Louis, Mo. and to this marriage two children were born. He honorably served his country during W.W. II with the U.S. Army and had attained the rank of Sergeant. After the war, Al attended barber school and became self-employed in his own barber shop. Upon his retirement, he moved to the St. Clair area and then to Sullivan 10 years ago. Al was known as a hard worker who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also found pleasure in a good joke and the lighter side of life. Also in his retirement years he was a realtor with Johanning Realtors in Sullivan. Al was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Sullivan, the Masonic Lodge of St. Clair and the American Legion of Leasburg. He is survived by his wife Ina, of the family home; one son, Charles Alvin King of Sullivan; one daughter and son-in-law Gail and Rich McQuiston of Wentzville; two brothers, James King of Bourbon and Clarence King of Sullivan; five sisters, Ethel Doedy of Fenton, Vi Sappington of Leasburg, Marie Adams of Bourbon, Alice Ray of Fenton and Betty Schaefer of Sappington, Mo.; three grandchildren, Renee Gregg, Cara Civey, and David King, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Three brothers, Edward, Gene and Wilbur King preceded Al in death as did a sister Alma Woods. Norma Jane (Tucker) Lewis Norma Jane Tucker was born February 15, 1954 in Bourbon, Mo., the daughter of Lloyd and Susie (Atchley) Tucker. She spent her first 21 years growing up on the farm just outside of town. She was one of a large, loving family in a neighborhood of several large families, all of whom were great neighbors. She was born of the Spirit of God at age 11, and immediately followed the Lord in Scriptural Baptism, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon. As a teenager and young lady, she loved the Lord and worked in the bus ministry. She was captain of the "town route" where she was used of God to bring many children and some of their parents to Jesus. After graduating from Bourbon High School and acquiring her Associate's Degree in Secretarial Practice at East Junior College in Union, Mo., she became Norma Jane Lewis. Where on April 26, 1975, she united in marriage with Neil Roy Lewis, an ordained minister of the Gospel. The couple lived at Fenton, Mo., where she helped her husband who was pastoring Antioch Baptist Church in St. Louis. They moved into their first house in House Springs, Mo. where they were blessed of God with four children: Rebekah Elizabeth, one unnamed baby, Heather June and Matthew James. Jane and Neil then accepted several short pastorates in Oklahoma and Missouri, as well as working in Christian schools. In 1985, they joined with the Landmark Baptist Church in Rolla, Mo. where they served in various capacities for eight years, and made many wonderful friends. In 1994, the Lewis' moved to St. Robert and joined with the Maranatha Baptist Church, where Jane worked as a school teacher and choir member for the remaining years of her life. Jane was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Susie (Atchley) Tucker and one unnamed baby. She is survived by her husband Neil, her children, Rebekah Elizabeth (Lewis) Wright and her husband, Shawn, of Dixon, and Heather Jane Lewis and Matthew James Lewis, both of the home. She also leaves two sweet grandchildren, Jessica Dawn and Justin Michael Wright; four sisters, Shirley Sherrell and her husband, Rick, and Janice Betheurem and her husband, Dwight, all of Springfield, Linda Poire and her husband, Ron, of Jefferson City and Mary Kay Hulsey and her husband, Kenny, of Sullivan and two brothers, Robert Tucker and his wife, Jane, of Pasco, Washington and Glen Tucker and his wife, Kathy, of Sullivan. Also surviving are many sweet nieces and nephews, loving, wonderful friends and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Jane loved to do cross-stitching and sewing. She loved pretty things, especially glassware and jewelry. Her life was dedicated to serving children in many ministries: Sunday school, Junior Church and teaching. She baby-sat in her home for 10 years, being loved by all the children, many of whom still remember her affectionately. She also loved to sing the songs about Jesus, having a beautiful alto voice. She was a very loving person, giving to others before herself. She was a superb, wonderful wife, supporting her husband in all his ministries. She was a wonderful mother to her children, always loving, supporting, and encouraging them. Many times she would stay up late at night sewing garments for her children, who would excitedly find them finished the next morning. She was always firm in her convictions concerning the Christian life and the Christ she loved. She was known and loved by people around the world, even by many whom have never met her. She is now at home with Jesus, after courageously fighting a painful bout with cancer for three years, but having never given up. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She was a real picture of Jesus living in one's life. A homecoming service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16 at Maranatha Baptist Church, St. Robert, with Pastor Keith Carnahan officiating. The obituary was read and remarks given by Wyman Hutchison. Pianist, Laura Matthews and Organist, Carolyn Wyatt played as the MBC Adult Choir sang, "The Robe of Righteousness," also for Rachel Bell as she sang, "Meet Me There" and for the congregational hymn "It Is Well With My Soul." "I Saw Jesus in You" by Ron Hamilton was also played. Family, friends and church family shared special memories and beautiful words. Wilma June Munzert Wilma June Munzert nee Wehmeier was born June 27, 1916 to William and Clair (Hudgens) Wehmeier in Kirkwood, Mo., and died Sunday, November 18, 2001 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 21 days. She was raised in rural Newburg. She married John Munzert on October 18, 1933 in Rolla, Mo. He died in 1987. They farmed in rural Rolla until they moved to Cuba in 1951. They owned and operated a John Deere farm machinery business and later owned and operated a Mobil Station and she owned June's Chicken House. June served on the Cuba Fair Board and was active in Cuba Civic Club. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cuba, Mo. June is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Marilyn and Bob Wilson, Cuba, grandsons Jeffrey and John, granddaughter Robin Leibovich; Sally and Vernon Heslep, Mt. Angel, Oregon, grandsons Steven and Richard, granddaughter Sue Gilbreath; and JoAnn Hoogland, Bettendorf, Iowa and granddaughter Ann Stein. She has fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Ogle died November 1, 2001, at the age of 73 years. Survivors include his wife, Betty, Viburnum; his mother, Mary Ogle, Viburnum; four children, Janet Medlock and husband, Dudley, Plano, Texas; Robert Stephen Ogle and wife, Mary, Viburnum; Tina Clements and husband, Barry, Viburnum; Rhea Barton and husband, Nick, Lesterville. Parker of Cuba, Mo. was born on November 26, 1915 at Vienna, Austria to the union of Reuben and Kathrina Piwnik and passed away on November 15, 2001 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 19 days. On August 15, 1943 John was united in marriage to Eva Cohn and two daughters, Dorothy and Kathy, and one son, John, were born to this union. Pitts, 85, of Rock Falls, Illinois, died Thursday, October 25, 2001, after an extended illness. He was employed as a sub-contractor at Northwestern Steel and Wire, Sterling, until retiring. Mr. Pitts was born February 7, 1916, in Cook Station, Mo., the son of Frank and Ruth (Earney) Pitts. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Helen Quinley Edgar on November 10, 1950 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls. Norma Lee Ransom Norma Lee Ransom nee Allender of Leasburg, Mo. was born on August 4, 1932 at St. Louis, Mo. to the union of Scott Morris Allender and Ada Audrey (Russell) Allender and passed away on November 19, 2001 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center of Rolla, Mo. at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 15 days. On August 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to John S. Grieb. Two daughters, Leanna and Norena, were born to this union. John preceded Norma in death on January 13, 1968. On March 28, 1969 Norma was united in marriage to Emery Jackson "Jack" Ransom. One son, Emery Lee, was born to this union. Norma loved the outdoors and enjoyed living in the country. Her two favorite hobbies were yard saling and gardening. Richardson Johnie C. Richardson of Bourbon, Mo. passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at the age of 87 years. Mr. Richardson was born on March 8, 1914 in Steelville, Mo., to the late James H. and Ruth (Haulbert) Richardson. As a young man, he moved to the Bourbon area where he continued to live the majority of his life. In November 1942 Johnie enlisted in the United States Navy, and honorably served his country during World War II. In 1948 he was joined in marriage to Mary E. Isgrigs. For 22 years he served as the city marshal of Bourbon as well as a deputy sheriff for Crawford County. Johnie left law enforcement, and then worked for 37 years as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He absolutely loved hunting and fishing. He also attended the First Assembly of God in Bourbon. He will be cherished and remembered as a loving and caring man who built a reputation of honesty and integrity. He is survived by two sons, Leroy Richardson and wife, Bonnie, of St. Peters, Mo. and Ricky Richardson of Bourbon; one daughter, Sue Bunton of Bourbon; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by one son, James Richardson, three brothers, Jimmie, George, and Herman Richardson, and two sisters, Ethel Bell and Elsie Richardson. All arrangements were under the care of the Hassebroek Funeral Home in Sullivan. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Johnie C. Richardson. Katie Agnes Schulte Katie Agnes Schulte of Sullivan, Mo. passed away on Friday, November 23, 2001 at the age of 100 years, 5 months, and 28 days. Mrs. Schulte was born on May 26, 1901 in Washington County, Mo. to the late John W. and Betty (Hulsey) Northcutt. On June 8, 1918 she was joined in marriage to Russell Jackson, and to their union three children were born. One of those children, an infant son, preceded her in death, as did Mr. Jackson. Katie spent most of her life in the Leasburg and Sullivan area, and worked for several years at the Cuba Shoe Factory. She also was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan. On August 21, 1959 she married Cornelius Schulte. Mr. Schulte preceded her in death in May 1967. She is survived by one son, Charles Jackson and wife, Mabel, of Bourbon, Mo.; one daughter, Nadine Davis of Cuba, Mo.; two grandchildren, Larry King and wife, Ann, and Charlotte Dunn and husband, David; five great-grandchildren, Jason King and wife, Katie, Michelle King, and Megan, Sarah, and Emily Dunn; other relatives, and friends. In addition to those previously mentioned, Mrs. Schulte was preceded in death by sixteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2001 from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Charles Idleman officiating.
