Bud, as he was known by his family and friends, grew up in Belle, Missouri and graduated from Belle High School in 1955. He continued his education in Warrensburg, Missouri where he received his Master's Degree in Elementary Education. While attending school he worked at the Sweeney-Phillips Funeral Home as an after-hours coordinator. He taught at River View Gardens School System for many years teaching middle school gifted children. In later years, he taught at the St. Peters School District. He retired with over 40 years in public education. He enjoyed traveling to Europe and many overseas countries. Family genealogy was very important to him. He gifted each of his nieces and nephews with large notebooks of family history. Having no children of his own, he spoiled his nieces and nephew as they grew up. You always knew Bud's opinion on any subject because he was not shy to share it. Dalton Rogue Courtway Dalton Rogue Courtway of St. James, Missouri was born March 4, 1999 in Rolla, Missouri to Dale and Crystal (Skyles) Courtway and passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the age of 21 years. Dalton was genuine, unique and fun-loving person who always had an adventure. He loved to walk around St. James, Missouri and exploring new places and loved animals. Dalton was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and had a very high functioning brain. When Dalton liked something, he was passionate about it, especially his music. Throughout his adventures in life he was accident prone. One of Dalton's adventures was walking across Interstate 44 however his attempt was not successful and Dalton almost lost his life. One of his injuries in the accident was severe lung injury. Friday morning he suffered an asthma attack that may have caused his death. He will be remembered as a fun loving adventurous young man who was a walking miracle and had a heart of gold. He didn't smile often but if you were lucky enough to be gifted with one of his smiles, it would light up your world. She grew up in Cuba, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 2011 from Owensville High School. After graduating Valeria went to further her education and received her associate degree. On April 25, 2018 Valeria married Jason Hopwood. Throughout her adult years, she worked several jobs but spent most of her time being a stay-at-home mom and housewife. Erma Lucille Kitch Erma Lucille (Johnson) Kitch of St. James, Missouri was born January 31, 1922 in Owen County to Louis and Rosa Belle (Casper) Johnson and passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 98 years. She was a former longtime resident of Morgantown, Indiana. Erma married Elbert Kitch on June 4, 1950 in Spencer, Indiana. Erma retired from the First State Bank in Morgantown in 1992 after 25 years. She had also worked at World Products and the Owen County State Bank in Spencer. She was a member of the Church of Christ in St. James, Missouri, and a former member of the Morgantown United Methodist Church, where Erma served as treasurer for several years. After she was widowed, she enjoyed outings with the Red Hat Ladies and going to the Morgantown Senior Center. Erma volunteered at the food bank in Morgantown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Kitch on March 12, 1994; three brothers, Merle, Arthur and Elmer Johnson; and two sisters, Ruby Fulcher and Jessie Ford. She made many quilts for her family that will be cherished memories for years to come. After her husband passed away after 15 years of their marriage, she went to work in a factory at the Western Wire Companyin St. Louis, Missouri where she retired. She raised two sons and two grandsons. In recent years she moved to Pacific, Missouri to be close to her son and family. Patricia Ann Rinehart Patricia Ann Rinehart of Rolla, Missouri was born on May 30, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Ruth Dalton Dierberg and passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 77 years. On December 18, 1965 in St. James, Missouri she married Martin Paul Rinehart. Patty was an educator for 30 years. She taught in Washington, Missouri for two years, at a country school outside of Rolla, Missouri for a year and the remaining years as a second grade teacher at Wyman Elementary in Rolla, Missouri. She was also a Sunday School teacher and helped with Day School at the Rolla Church of Christ. Her hobbies and interests included scrapbooking, tending her flower garden, reading magazines and listening to music. She was a kind and caring person who loved to bake and cook meals for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth Dierberg; and one sister, Ruth Moreland. Junior Leroy Simmerly Junior Leroy Simmerly of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Sunday, January 24, 1932 in Bourbon, Missouri to Jess Walter and Della Edith (Wymer) Simmerly and passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Junior married Eveline Gargus on March 21, 1952 in Leasburg, Missouri. Junior started working as a young boy cutting timber with his family. He would later own and operate J.L. Simmerly Sawmill in Bourbon, Missouri for many years. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #81 of Bourbon and served as Road Judge for Crawford County District No. 2. Junior was a straight forward person and some would say, he was a bit ornery. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, traveling with Eveline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess Walter and Della Edith Simmerly; infant son, Garryl Simmerly; and four brothers, Curtis Dale, Robert Eugene, Richard Walter "Dick" and James Elwood Simmerly. Teems was born June 20, 1942 in Bethalto, Illinois to Clyde and Irma Teems and passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 6 days. He married Rose Marie Skyles in Rolla, Missouri on April 8, 1962. Clyde was an FAA certified Jet Aircraft Mechanic by profession. He spent 20 years in the USAF and retired November 1, 1980. He also served a year in Vietnam. After his Air Force career he went to work for McDonnell/Douglas aircraft company in St. Louis, Missouri as an air craft technical analyst for their FA-18 program. In 1987 he transferred to North Island Navy Station at Coronado, California and worked as a Logistics Representative, parts specialist on the FA-18 When that contract ended in 1995, he transferred to Interlaken, Switzerland for two years and opened the Field Services Engineering office for their Air Force FA-18 Program. At the end of that two-year contract, Boeing Aircraft Company bought McDonnell Douglas, and Clyde decided to retire again. He and Rose moved back to the Rolla, Missouri area and retired. Clyde loved working with air craft. After his retirement he and Rose loved to travel the world and go on ocean cruises. He also had a wood hobby shop and enjoyed building bird houses, bird feeders, small cedar tables and wishing wells for family and friends. He was preceded in death, by his parents, Clyde and Irma Teems; one brother, Leslie Teems; two sisters, Mable Allison and Lela Stone; parents-in-law, Frank and Marie Skyles; special son-in-law, Doug Thompson; and three brothers-in-law, Charles Skyles, and Frank Skyles and Raymond Skyles. Dale Arthur Thrasher Dale Arthur Thrasher of Bourbon, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 8, 1945 to Lester and Fanny "Pearl" (Eddy) Thrasher and passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 75 years. He grew up and attended school in Wellston. Shortly after graduating high school, Dale enlisted in to the National Guard and honorably served his country for six years. While in the service, Dale married his first wife, Teddy Collins, on August 28, 1965. Dale worked in the printing department at various companies, before starting his own printing company, Thrasher Printing in 1977. Dale was known to be very entrepreneurial minded and even started several companies in his lifetime. Later in life Dale married Judy (Nelson) Rothenberger on June 29, 1996. They continued to run the printing business and made their home in Bourbon, Missouri. Dale retired in 2012. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and working on old cars. He always had something on hand that people may have needed and would often times gift things that he had repaired to his friends. Dale was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bourbon, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Pearl Thrasher; brother, Edward Thrasher; and sister, Lois Martin. He is survived by his wife, Judy Thrasher of Bourbon, Missouri; daughter, Teddy Booker and husband George of Columbia, Missouri; step son, Scott Rothenberger and wife Kelly of China; two brothers, Hershel "Glen" Thrasher and wife Joyce of St. Charles, Missouri and Jerry Dean Thrasher of Troy, Missouri; special friend who was like a son, Chris Brownlee of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Tyler of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, November 15, 1948 in Manila, Arkansas to Johnny and Myrtle (Stevens) Tyler and passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Jim started working for McDonnell-Douglas at the age of 17. He would later work and retire as an auditor for the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers Union. He enjoyed spending time working on the farm and being on his tractor. He also enjoyed the history of the Civil War and he was always up to date on politics, Union and Civil Rights matters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle J. Tyler; one son, Daniel Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph Veda (Leslie) Adams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph Adams Jr., Martin Adams, Michael Adams, Brian Adams, Gary Adams, Jeannie Zobrist, Melvin Makara and Michael Evans. He is survived by his wife, Terri (Adams) Tyler; two sons, Kevin and wife Mary Tyler and Keith Tyler; five grandchildren, Linda, Lauren, Brandon, Samuel and Kamden Tyler; father, Johnny Tyler; sister, Debbie and husband Gary Cate; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and wife Pat Dixon, Jackie Makara, Carolyn and husband Donald Bowolak, Debbie Evans, Sandra Mendoza and Michael Zobrist; other relatives and friends. John William Waller Jr. John William Waller Jr. of Sullivan, Missouri was born in Leasburg, Missouri on April 25, 1920 to John William Sr. and Margaret Waller and passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 100 years. The Waller family moved to Sullivan, Missouri in the 1930's and John attended Sullivan High School, where he excelled in basketball, baseball and track. He set a pole vault record that has never been broken. The record was retired in 1976 when the new "flexible poles" became the standard. In high school, John met and began dating Esther Matthews. Graduating high school in 1938, John received a Basketball Scholarship from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. John graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University and received his Bachelor's Degree in December 1941, just six days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He enlisted in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator. While attending flight school at Naval Air Station Iowa, John played football for the Iowa Seahawks, a US Navy team that played NCAA football. John received a Lieutenants Commission in the US Navy and was transferred to the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida for training in Aircraft Carrier Flight Operations. After completing his training at Pensacola, he stayed on as a flight instructor. In 1943 he was transferred to Naval Air Station Atlanta to instruct British pilots in the use of American aircraft. While associating with British pilots in Atlanta, John was introduced and became interested in the sport of golf. In 1944, while stationed in Atlanta, John and Esther Matthews were engaged and eventually married at the Peachtree Presbyterian Church. John completed his service in the Navy in 1946 and he returned to St. Louis University and enrolled in Law School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with Juris Doctoris degree in 1948. John and Esther, returned to Sullivan, Missouri to set up a Private Law Practice. In 1954 he and a group of local businessmen started the Sullivan Country Club. John became associated with the Bank of Sullivan through his legal practice and purchased a major share in the bank in 1960. In 1965 he purchased a majority share in Farmers & Merchants Bank of St. Clair, Missouri. John always had a profound interest in horses and cattle. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Matthews Waller; daughter, Carol Waller; one son, Grant Waller; parents, John William Sr. and Margaret Waller; brother, Ed Waller; and sisters, Mary McIvor and Margaret Schlueter. He is survived by one son, Thomas Scott Waller and wife Patricia; grandsons, John Thomas Waller, Matt Waller, Tim Waller and Cody Waller; personal assistant and caregiver, Paula Ray; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 2-3 p.m. for Sullivan Bank/Farmers and Merchants directors and employees and from 3-6 p.m. for the general public, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Paul Telken celebrating.
