(Shoemake) Blaser and passed away November 27, 2013 at Barnes Siteman Center at the age of 34 years, 11 months and 28 days. On March 26, 2005, Brandy was united in marriage to Eric DeClue. Brandy worked at Ozark in Cuba, Missouri and loved working there.   There she met her best friend Kimmie.  She loved her family, friends and don’t forget her dogs.   They were her babies. Brandy made everyone around her laugh because she loved making people happy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Sarah Blaser, Cleveland and Alberta Shoemake; brother, Dennis Ray Shoemake Blaser; aunt, Carol Sue Blaser and uncle, Cleveland Lee Shoemake. She is survived by her parents, Dennis R. Blaser and Sherry Blaser of Potosi, Missouri; husband, Eric DeClue of Steelville, Missouri; three sisters, Sherry Elaine Blaser of Rolla, Missouri, Brenda Ray Montoya and husband Ray of Potosi, Missouri, Sarah Blaser of Potosi, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Rishenea Blaser, Dartagnan Blaser, Christopher Blaser, Kamie Montoya, Adrian Montoya; close friends, Kimmie Bennick and Rechelle Beck; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Joyce DeClue of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Richard Williford officiating. Special music of “Holes in the Floor of Heaven,” “Sissy’s Song” and “Dancing in the Sky” was played. The eulogy was shared by close friend, Rechelle Beck. Nelce Virgil Duncan Nelce Virgil Duncan of St. James, Missouri was born in Merdianville, Alabama on May 21, 1950 to Nelce and Velma (Hill) Duncan and passed away November 25, 2013 at his home at the age of 63 years. He is survived by nine children; brothers, George and James Duncan; sisters, Willadean Mays, Anna Pitts, and Jeanie Johnson; grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Charles Hollandsworth Charles Hollandsworth of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1942 in Stephen, Minnesota to Raymond H. and Jane Schlaegel Hollandsworth and passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 21 days. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Charles married Judith Ann Bussinger on March 5, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a letter carrier for 28 years and retired from the St. Charles, Missouri Post Office. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, also, woodworking and gardening. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hollandsworth and mother, Jane Schlaegel Tafoya. Dorothy Marie Lea Dorothy Marie Lea of Steelville, Missouri was born May 16, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Marie Badendieck and passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at her home at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 10 days. On April 26, 1972, she was united in marriage to John “Bud” Lea. She was of the Catholic faith. Dottie was co-owner for several years in the Meramec Real Estate and also worked at Edies Backwoods Antiques. She always enjoyed buying, selling antiques and her privacy. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Badendieck; her husband, Bud Lea in 2006; and three brothers in-law, Leslie Kehner, Dr. Charles Counts and Richard Mager. She is survived by her special friend, Curtis Hayes and family along with Abigail Hayes, whom Dottie consider her granddaughter; three brothers-in-law, Pete Lea and wife Bonnie, Hack Lea and wife Verniece and Bill Lea and wife Dormalie, all of Steelville, Missouri; and two sisters-in-law, Matred Kehner and Shirley Mager, both of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Aldo John Monari Aldo John Monari of Cuba, Missouri was born December 17, 1929 at Cuba, Missouri to Albert and Agnes F. (nee Guerri) Monari and passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Aldo started working in construction at the age of 16. He had worked on five different pipelines during his career and was a 30-year member of the Union Hall #513. Aldo spent many hours outside working on the family property. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the occasional visits from friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes Monari; three brothers, Leo, Victor and Fredrick Monari and one infant sister, Yolanda Monari. Rebecca Ann “Becky” Monzyk Rebecca Ann “Becky” Monzyk of Cuba was born April 13, 1970 in Janesville, Wisconsin to  Oliver and Juanita (Millard) Miller and passed away suddenly on Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 43 years. Becky worked for CFI Trucking Company as a truck driver for many years. She enjoyed being a magician and doing magic shows for the children at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Her other hobbies included gardening, traveling, being on the beach, thrift store shopping and her favorite drink was a Diet Pepsi. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Miller. Mildred Luciel Moschetto Mildred Luciel Moschetto (nee Markley) was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 9, 1914 to William F. and Zora Markley (nee Chewning), and passed away on November 22, 2013 Cuba Manor Nursing Home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 98 years, 11 months and 22 days. Mildred was the third child and first girl of six children. She grew up in the Cuba area and received her education through high school at Cuba. As a young girl, she worked at a dry goods and grocery store in Cuba, Missouri during the depression to help support her family. To find work, the Markley family moved to St. Louis, Missouri and Mildred went to work at Miller’s Store on Jamieson Ave then later at Bettendorf-Rapp, where she met her husband Sodo, then onto Schnucks Food Stores as a head cashier in Frontenec. She was a 38-year member of the UFCW Local #655. Mildred was united in marriage to Rosario (Sodo) Moschetto on April 12, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri and they had a long marriage of over 50 years. They owned a large farm on Taylor Road, near her sisters’ farms, for many years and later sold it, retired and did a lot of traveling and fishing. Mildred led a good, long and fulfilling life and was known for her honesty, integrity and hard work. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She had a firm saying, “If you can’t do a job right and to the best of your ability, then don’t do it at all.” Her life showed this in how she lived and by the people she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zora Markley; her husband, Sodo; her close sister and brother-in-law, Doras and Ed Jennings; three brothers, Cecil, Dallas and Charles Markley; one nephew, Robert Markley. She is survived by her sister, Ada Maxfield of Cuba, Missouri; four nieces, Betty DeLeo and Donna Richardson, both of Cuba, Missouri, Patti Bowlak of St. Louis, Missouri and Shelley Bell of Rolla, Missouri; three nephews, Mike Jennings of Cuba, Missouri, Keith Markley of Eureka, Missouri and John Jennings of Union, Missouri; other great nephews, nieces, family and friends. Raymond Leroy Munton Raymond Leroy Munton of Steelville, Missouri was born on Monday, March 23, 1936 in Steelville, Missouri to Raymond Leonard and Josephine H. Halbert Munton and passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 29 days. He was a career military serviceman in the United States Navy serving his country honorably. He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge #77 AFAM, and VFW Post 6479 of Steelville. He loved nature and deer hunting. He also enjoyed farming, gardening, making molasses, working with his team of horses and going on wagon rides. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Josephine Munton; two brothers, Harold (Helen) Munton and Noah Munton. After his retirement he help busy for many years working from his home in St. Clair with small engine repair. Inez was united in marriage to Arthur Kulp and to this union four children were born. After Arthur passed away Inez was later united in marriage to Charles Saladin, he brought two daughters to this union. Inez worked in the garment industry in St. James for many years. She loved to work in the yard and always maintained beautiful flower gardens. Along with always having two vegetable gardens going at once, she enjoyed sharing the bounty of her labor with friends and neighbors, but knew what it took to raise her family through the long winter months and would can everything she could in the summer months to last through to the next year. Her secret to long life? According to Inez it was cabbage and vinegar, and who knows at 97 she certainly could be right! she was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Lilly Berdar; husbands, Arthur Kulp and Charles Saladin; son, Arthur Kulp.   She is survived by her children, Joan Schroyer of Joplin, Missouri, Gayle Kulp and wife Ruth of Cuba, Missouri, and Donna Hankey and husband Ralph of St. James, Missouri; step-daughters, Jenny Schott and husband Bud of Jackson, Missouri, and Joyce Schroeder and husband Charlie of Jackson, Missouri; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Frank Joseph Wevers Jr. Frank Joseph Wevers Jr. of St. James, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born July 21, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank Joseph Wevers, Sr. and Catherine Weinzettle Wevers and passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 89 years. On April 5, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri he was united in marriage to Lavern Elizabeth Saenger.Frank served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1941 through 1949. He was stationed in the South Pacific, Guam and the Great Lakes. After serving in the military, he worked with his father at General Cable Corps and then later he worked at Schweitzer’s making metal fan blades for cars, tractors, etc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Catherine Wevers; and his wife, Lavern Wevers in 2011. Carol worked several years as a Certified Medical Technician, before becoming disabled. She enjoyed always taking care of others and spoiling her grandchildren.
