Margaret Lucille Anderson
Margaret Lucille Anderson, nee Callahan, of Steelville, Missouri was born
July 30, 1927 in Cherryville, Missouri to Edward and Myrtle (Murray)
Callahan and passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at Gibbs Care Center in
Steelville at the age of 84 years.
In 1967 at Steelville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Carson
William Anderson.
Margaret was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed doing crafts,
crocheting, shopping, going to yard sales and taking care of her plants.
She also enjoyed her collection of Winnie the Pooh and dolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Myrtle Callahan;
her husband, Carson on September 13, 1986; one daughter, Faye Cassidy;
four brothers, Ivy Callahan, Harvey Callahan, Floyd Callahan and Glen
Callahan; two sisters, Mildred Walker and Erma Quinton; and one grandson,
Lonnie Chandler.
She is survived by her son, Bill Anderson and wife Kathy of Steelville,
Missouri; two daughters, Judy Chandler and husband Lonnie of Steelville,
Missouri and Diane Barton and husband Bill of Salem, Missouri; one
son-in-law, Utah Cassidy of Steelville, Missouri; 16 grandchildren;
17 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers
officiating. Special music of “Long Black Train” was sung and played by
Rev. Jerry Beers. Other music of “Walk across Texas” was also played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery at
Cherryville, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Russell Counts, Lonnie E. Chandler II, Dakota Brown,
Justin Trout, Austin Halbert and Carl Shipley.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of
Steelville, Missouri.
Kevin S. Biggins
Kevin S. Biggins of Bourbon, Missouri was born on August 23, 1955 to James
and Eileen (Breen) Biggins at St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Tuesday,
November 29, 2011 at the age of 56 years.
Kevin was a graduate of McClure High School and in 1973 he moved with his
family to the Bourbon area.
On April 5, 1980 he was united in marriage to Carol Higgins and to this
union a daughter was born.
Kevin was employed in the construction trades, most recently with Husley
and Waldo Construction and also was a self-employed carpenter. Kevin hunted
and fished and enjoyed the outdoors. He was especially close to his
grandson, Tyler and participated in all of his activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eileen Biggins; two
stepsons, Jerod and Brian Keeney and father-in-law, Al Higgins, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Biggins of the family home; daughter,
Shauna Biggins of Bourbon, Missouri; two brothers, Jimmy Biggins of
St. Louis, Missouri and Michael Biggins and wife Anna of Sullivan,
Missouri; one sister, Patty Waller and husband Scott of Sullivan,
Missouri; grandson, Tyler Lewis; parents-in-law, Dorothy and W.J. Benthal
of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30 until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011
at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011
from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri with the
Rev. John Patrick Day, CCP officiating.
Interment was in the Enloe-Hodge Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan,
Missouri.
Elizabeth Rose “Liz” Bowman
Elizabeth Rose “Liz” Bowman of Cuba, Missouri was born to Elmer and Alma
(Holliday) Weeks on April 21, 1938 in Creve Coeur, Missouri and passed
away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center
in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 73 years.
Liz was a cafeteria worker at the Cuba Middle School for the past seven
years. She enjoyed taking care of others whether it be one of the school
children or her family. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, fishing,
shopping and gambling. Liz gave one of the greatest gifts of all by being
an organ donor, so she could help life go on for someone else.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Weeks and one granddaughter,
Erica Gillahan.
She is survived by her husband, James I. Bowman of the home; four children,
Richard and wife Bobbi Weeks of Ellisville, Missouri, Darryl and wife Annie
Weeks of Whiteland, Indiana, Brenda Cook of Greenwood, Indiana, Jeffrey
Jarvis of House Springs, Missouri; two step-children, Michele Bowman and
friend Richard of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Tracey and husband Michael
Smith of Overland, Missouri; mother, Alma Weeks of Farmington, Missouri;
three sisters, Shirley Winningham of Florida, Eleanor Rhodes of Shell Knob,
Missouri, Pamela and husband John Pace of Dittmer, Missouri; one brother,
Elmer Weeks of Lake Timberline, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, several great
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 11 a.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home.
Interment followed at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Shelia L. Brokaw
Shelia L. Brokaw of Sullivan, Missouri was born at Merced, California on
October 9, 1947 to Harold and Anna-Beth (Durham) Butler and passed away on
Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the age of 64 years.
Shortly there after, the family moved to Texas and it was there she was
raised and lived the majority of her life. Shelia was known as a hard
worker and would help others in need. She was employed for at time with the
Barbizon Modeling Company as a model and had worked in various other jobs
mainly in retail sales stores. She loved horses and often competed in
barrel racing, winning many trophies. Shelia was also a great animal lover
and enjoyed flower gardening. She was a crafter and found pleasure in
sewing fleece blankets.
Shelia had four daughters and in 1988 married Francis Brokaw. Together
they raised a fifth daughter, Atasha. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by five daughters, Loretta Miller and husband Richard of
Burnett, Texas, Brenda Hunn of Bourbon, Missouri, Yolanda Cantu of Electra,
Texas, Kimberly Urban and husband Steve of Johnston, Colorado and Atasha
Brokaw of Whitefish, Montana; fiancé, Michael Kohlmeyer of Sullivan,
Missouri; two brothers, Gene Butler of Midland, Texas and Bob Butler of
Tulia Texas; two sisters, Ann Loveless of Quahana, Texas and Carol Hatcher
of Tulia, Texas; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m., Thursday at the Southside Chapel of
the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday from the Southside
Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri with Chaplin Gary
Dawd officiating.
Cremation followed the services.

Marjorie M. Dulany
Marjorie M. Dulany nee Nichols of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday,
November 14, 1926 in Steelville, Missouri to Earl and Amy E. Brand Nichols
and passed away at Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Sunday,
November 27, 2011 at the age of 85 years and 13 days.
Marjorie married James W. Dulany on August 3, 1946 by Uncle Sam Roper at
Steelville, Missouri and to this union three children were born.
Marjorie was a lifetime and charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary
#6479 since 1954. She also was a member of the Presbyterian Mariners. Her
hobbies were gardening, canoeing, fishing, camping, square dancing, and
traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Amy Nichols; infant
daughter, Janet and sister-in-law, Estella (Raymond) Farrar.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Dulany of Steelville, Missouri;
children, Jane (Jack) Edgar of Steelville, Missouri and Ronald (Becky)
Dulany of Moberly, Missouri; four grandchildren, April Dulany of Moberly,
Missouri, Brian Dulany of Boonville, Missouri, Jared Edgar of Springfield,
Missorui and Jaclyn (Todd) Zimmermann of St. Louis, Missouri; four great
grandchildren; other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. and funeral
service Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.
Burial was at the Steelville Cemetery.

Missouri.
Linda Lee Violett Greene
Linda Lee Violett Greene of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri
was born Friday, June 24, 1960 to Glen and Jo (nee Hopkins) Violett at
St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Friday, December 02, 2011 at DePaul
Health Center, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 51 years.
Linda was united in marriage to Dennis Greene and to this union two
beautiful daughters were born.
Linda spent her life taking care of her family. She was the bookkeeper
for the Phillip 66 Gas Station from 1992 till 1999, which she and Dennis
owned until March of 2011. Linda enjoyed eBay, gardening (flowers and
tomatoes), floating the Meramec and the Huzzah Rivers, reading, embroidering
and collecting antiques. She raised dogs for many years and “Bear” was her
favorite. She enjoyed her cats, horses and being outside.
Linda helped set up the Abuse Hotline of Crawford County, was a 4-H Club
volunteer, was the “Room Mother” when the girls were growing up and always
looked forward to Christmas in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Jo Violett and other
family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Greene of St. Louis, Missouri,
formerly of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters, Dessa and husband Jesse McClary
of Leasburg, Missouri and Jasmine Greene of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters,
Cynthia O’Toole of Eureka, Missouri and Melody Violett of California state;
one brother, Glen and wife Denise Violett of St. Louis County; sister-in-law,
Cynthia and husband Drew Buckley of St. Thomas USVI; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. at the Mizell
Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Graveside services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the
Zion Cemetery, 7401 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Imogene F. Gremmer
Imogene F. Gremmer was born on November 28, 1928 to Frank and Bessie Hance
and passed away November 21, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in St. James,
Missouri.
She was married to Thomas Gremmer on September 23, 1986.
Imogene was a licensed practical nurse and was awarded a certificate for
50 years of nursing from the Missouri State Board of Nursing on
February 1, 2006. She worked at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center
for many years. Her hobbies included fishing, watching movies, mostly
westerns, and reading Louis L’Amour books. She had collected all but 20 of
them and enjoyed sharing them with the other residents at the Golden Living
Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bessie Hance; one
sister, Frances Moore and husbands, Omar J. Kreisler, Raymond W. Moreland
and Thomas Gremmer.
She is survived by one son, James Kreisler and his wife Donna of Vichy,
Missouri, and one grandson, Jacob Kreisler and wife Genesa of Hammond,
Louisiana; two step great grandsons, Blake and Grant; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation will be this Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the
First Church of God St. James, Missouri with a memorial service following
at 2 p.m.

Mary Frances Mason
Mary Frances Mason of Park Hills, Missouri, was born January 29, 1935 in
Dillard, to Bradford and Mildred (Medley) Roberts and passed away
December 2, 2011 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington, Missouri
at the age of 76 years.
She later married Rev. Elbert J Mason and was a lifetime member of Assembly
Of God Church, where she assisted him in ministry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bradford and Mildred Roberts and
husband, Rev. Elbert J. Mason.
She is survived by daughters, Pamela (Robert) Tune, Kimberly (Jeffrey)
Gowen; grandchildren, Miranda (Jason) Colgan, Bobbi (Brad) Dyer, Brandon
Tune, Rebecca Tune, Derek (Beth) Gowen, Chandler Gowen, Danielle Gowen,
Preston Gowen; great grandchildren, Auston, Zach, Madyson, Korbyn, Kallyn,
Lexie, and Bryant; sisters, Edna (Harold) Hinkle, Irene (Lee) Ficke, Betty
(Bob) Zimmer; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge,
Missouri on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 4-9 p.m.
Funeral service was held at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge,
Missouri on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Gowen and
Rev. Troy Smith officiating.
Interment followed at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri.

Vernon Lee Matlock
Vernon Lee Matlock of St. James, Missouri was born in St. James, Missouri
on April 30, 1932 to Lee Roy and Ollie S. (Swyers) Matlock and passed away
Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
Vernon served his country in the United States Army from October 1952 to
October 1954. After serving his tour Vernon came back to St. James and
married Betty Young in June of 1956, they shared 48 years together before
Betty passed away in September of 2004.
Vernon was a true entrepreneur of all sorts, as everyone knew he was a
barber, but it really started way before that when he was a young man. He
loved to swap anything from comic books to old guns, and from that early age
he was a true horse trader. Vernon always thought he could make the best
trades. He would sit outside on the porch swing and make a lot of trades
happen, with the twinkle of his eye he was quick to “make a deal.” He was a
barber in St. James for the last 55 years and he loved his customers and his
customers loved him. His gift of laughter and friendship is going to be
forever missed.
Vernon was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church in St. James. He was
also a proud member of the VFW Post #5608, he loved to go out see the guys
and have some lunch.
He is survived by his nephew, Warren Matlock and wife Cynthia of Nixa,
Missouri; great nephew, Jeff Matlock and wife Jamie; great niece, Melia Dunn
and husband Tyler; his companion of many years, Joyce Watkins of Dillon,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, December 5, 2011 from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the
St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor David Peter
officiating.
Interment was in the St. James Cemetery.

Nancy Patricia “Pat” Wilkinson
Nancy Patricia “Pat” Wilkinson of Cherryville, Missouri was born on
Saturday, February 25, 1939 in Butts, Missouri to Thomas Ralph Elijah and
Florence Jane Mallow Vance and passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011
at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 72 years,
8 months and 30 days.
Pat married Clyde E. Wilkinson on October 26, 1957 and to this union three
children were born.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri.
For several years she operated a crafts store “Pat’s Corner” in Steelville,
Missouri. She enjoyed working with crafts, plastic canvas, jigsaw puzzles,
making quilts, collecting over 2000 movies and spending time with her cat,
“Tot.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Vance; husband,
Clyde; brothers-in-law, Tim Wilkinson, Plas (Jean) Wilkinson, Lloyd Hunter,
James Osborn and Rance Medlock.
She is survived by her children, Thomas L. Wilkinson, Brenda Kay Wilkinson,
Sharon Kay (Kenny) Dunn, all of Cherryville, Missouri; sister, Mary A. Osborn
of Dittmer, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Juanita (Noah) Pyatt
of Cherryville, Missouri, Lois Medlock, Kenny (Doris) Wilkinson all of
Davisville, Missouri, Leon Wilkinson of Steelville, Missouri, Freda Hunter of
St. Peters, Missouri and Rilma Wilkinson of Cuba, Missouri; special friend,
Kim Smith of Cherryville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service was at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Pleasant
Hill Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Don Wissman officiating.
Burial was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri.
Keith Allen Wood
Keith Allen Wood of Leasburg, Missouri was born in Jefferson City, Missouri
on July 2, 1970 to Reuben Darrell and Patricia (Streumph) Wood and passed
away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 25 days.
On April 14, 1990 in Hermann, Missouri he was united in marriage to Wendy
McClary.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Wood of Bourbon, Missouri; mother,
Patricia Stradford of Owensville, Missouri; children, Amber Wood, Nicole Wood
and Kayla Woemmel, all of Owensville, Missouri; and step-son, Danny Bacon and
wife Jill of Hermann, Missouri.
A Memorial Service was held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. with
visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in
Owensville, Missouri with Fr. Jeremy Secrist officiating.
Burial was in the Koenig Cemmetery in Belle, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in
Owensville, Missouri.
