Clifford Spencer Fancher Clifford Spencer Fancher of Cuba, Missouri was born September 10, 1946 at Rapid City, South Dakota to Fred and Doris (nee Bowdish) Fancher and passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Cliff married Melinda "Mindy" Eggemeyer on April 19, 1987. Cliff left home at the age of 13 and hitchhiked across the country to Los Angeles, California. His first job was stacking 100-pound bags of potatoes. On June 15, 1966 Cliff was inducted into the United States Army. He served until May 2, 1968. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Cliff also completed the Code of Conduct and Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) Training. He received a Purple Heart while serving in the Army. Cliff retired in June 2010 from Parish Leasing, Freeburg, Illinois as a truck driver. He had been a truck driver for nearly all his adult life. Cliff never met a stranger and he would make friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed watching football and his favorite past time was "Girl Watching". He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Doris Fancher; and the couple, Cliff called mom and dad, Herb and Joyce Eggemeyer. After he graduated high school Dunk proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service time was over Dunk re-enlisted into the Army Reserves. He than returned to the family farm doing just what he loved to do. On April 22, 1967 he married Doris Lessen. Dunk and Doris loved farm life and even though it was hard work to raise cattle and crops, Dunk enjoyed every minute. Dunk served for many years on the Board of Directors of Intercounty Electric and the Board of Directors of Wurdack Farms, a large farm in Cook Station, Missouri. that conducts demonstrations and research in integrated livestock, forages, forestry, agro-forestry and wildlife management practices that are economically viable, environmentally sound and sociologically acceptable for the Ozark Region of Missouri. Something hewas passionate about was making sure the land was managed properly for the years to come. He was a great talker and one of his favorite topics was politics. Dunk was also a cemeterian for both the Asher and Adams Cemeteries until his health declined. He loved hunting with his nephew Jim, and spending time with his nephews and nieces on the farm, teaching them about the land that he loved so much. Charles always planted about three gardens for her to can and with 17 children, there was always someone ready with a hoe to help with weeds. Evelyn would freeze and can enough from those gardens to help them through the winter months. On May 28, 2004 Michael married Linda Gaston-Seikkula and they celebrated 13 years of marriage together. Michael was a Commercial Salesman for Lowes for approximately 15 years. He worked at Jefferson City, Missouri Lowes from 1999-2004, Derby, Kansas from 2004-2008 and lastly, Sullivan, Missouri from 2008-2014, from which he retired. Michael was a member of Rotary and the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. Warren Eugene Patt Warren Eugene Patt of St. James, Missouri was born January 15, 1923 in Desloge Missouri to Christian and Nancy Ann Patt and passed away on November 30, 2017 at at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 15 days. Nancy passed away when Gene was only four years old. He was raised by his aunts and uncles. He grew up in Desloge, Missouri and graduated from Flatt River High School in 1942. He worked nights during two years of high school at the Flatt River National Hotel for $3.50 per week. He used this money to help his family. Gene entered the Navy after high school. He chose to go from reserve to active duty. He served as a quarter master on the mine sweeper the USS Notable AM 267. He served his country during World War II mainly in the Pacific Ocean. He served for 3 1/2 years till age 22. After his service with the Navy he was called back up and served as military police in the St. Louis, Missouri area during the Korean War. Gene met Alice I. Oxendine in St. Louis Missouri and was married in 1947. Gene went on to work for the United States Geological Services in Rolla, Missouri when he and Alice moved to St. James, Missouri. He retired from the Rolla USGS in 1972. Gene was an avid hunter, trapper, softball player and fisherman. He enjoyed cutting wood and continued to heat his home with wood until he was in his late 80's. In his later years he enjoyed volunteering at PCRMC on Thursdays making popcorn. He was a member of the Masonic lodge for over fifty years. As a member of the Masonic lodge, He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Nancy Patt; brothers, Roy, Ray, Paul and James; and wife, Alice of 41 years on December 5, 1988. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting also loved his cars. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim; and sister, Edith. Jesse Aaron Whaley Jesse Aaron Whaley was born on Monday, December 4, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Kerrie Louise Whaley and passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the age of 27 years, 11 months and 29 days. Jesse was an automotive mechanic and loved to work with his hands. He loved driving fast. He enjoyed riding horses, ATVs and motorcycles. He liked hunting and fishing and played football and basketball in high school. Jesse accepted the Lord early in life and was quick to help others. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, David Whaley. He is survived by his mother Kerrie Whaley of Steelville, Missouri; grandmother Alice Whaley of Steelville, Missouri; brothers, Dakota Whaley and Landon Whaley, both of Steelville, Missouri; ex-wife Cassie Schoolcraft of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Whitworth of Catawissa, Missouri was born Tuesday, May 19, 1942 at East Prairie, Missouri to Cleo and Myrtle (nee Walker) Woods and passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Patsy married Dennis Whitworth on October 14, 1961 at Granite City, Illinois. Patsy was a substitute teacher for Nike School District in Robertsville for a few years, but her career was taking care of her home and family. She was a collector of angels. Patsy sewed for many years. She would repair all her children's clothes and she made some of the most beautiful quilts ever made. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Myrtle Woods; and one brother, Curtis Woods. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis Whitworth of the home; three children, Joe Whitworth of Catawissa, Missouri, Alan Mark Whitworth of Seattle, Washington and Ginger and husband Mark Masters of Smyrna, Georgia; five grandchildren. Jessica and husband Jesse Spurgeon of Owensville, Missouri, Jason Whitworth of Jefferson City, Missouri, Sorsha Masters, Quiden Masters and Gabriel Masters of Smyrna, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Linda Woods of Cuba, Missouri and Linda Williams of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Gary and wife Patty Whitworth of Illinois; other relatives and friends. Charles Calvin Wiggins Charles Calvin Wiggins of Summerfield, Florida was born on September 17, 1929 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Charles T. and Rose (Dorf) Wiggins and passed away on December 2, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Charles grew up in Cuba, Missouri. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 after high school. He served as a weatherman on several ships and was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. After leaving the service, he settled in St. Louis, Missouri where he met and married his wife 65 years, Patricia Wiggins. He worked for Pet Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 1991. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida where he could enjoy playing golf year round. He was life member of the VFW, Post 8083 in Belleview, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose Wiggins; and his five sisters, Marie, Beth, Vivian, Florence and Helen. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Summerfield, Florida; four daughters, Donna and Michael Huie of Birmingham, Alabama, Linda and Jim Schroeder of St. Louis, Missouri, Karen and Charles Canaday of Kansas City, Missouri and Pamela Wiggins and husband Paul Ennis of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; son, Richard and Patricia Wiggins of St. Louis, Missouri; brother, Thomas and Judith Wiggins of Parker, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Robert (Mary), Kevin, Krystal (Luke), Brittany (Rick), Benjamin, Zachary, Dylan, Austin, and Shane; five great grandchildren, Norma, Willem, Charlie, Ryker and Reid; other relatives and friends. Wilkerson of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 28, 1931 in Shoal Creek, Missouri to Rev. John L. and Allie (Wilkinson) Britton and passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 86 years. On February 9, 1951 Opal married Joseph Wilkerson at the Breton Creek Baptist Church and they shared nearly 65 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Allie Britton; husband, Joe Wilkerson; two brothers, Al Britton and John T. Britton; and three sisters, Dolorece (Rev. Freeman) Gibson, Beulah (Charles) Akers and Marie (Rev. Harry "H.W.") Darst.
