Dorothy L. Belt
Dorothy L. Belt, (nee Mueller), passed away December 12, 2005,
beloved wife of the late Earl "Ted" Ball and Earl Belt, dear
mother of Roger (Carol) Ball and the late Penny Lyons and Cindy
Ball; dear sister of Norman (Louise) Mueller and the late Kenneth
Mueller; our dear mother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother, great
grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 14, 2005
from the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 777 Oakwood Drive
(at Highway 141).
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carol Lillian Ruetz Cappel
Carol Lillian Ruetz Cappel (nee Schulte) passed away
Monday, November 28, 2005 at the age of 65 years.
She was the dear wife of James F. Cappel and the late
William J. (Bing) Ruetz, until his death on March 23, 1997.
The beloved mother of Jennifer Rodgers and David Ruetz
and wife Julie; dear step-mother of Barbara Mazzola and husband
John, Jane Cappel, Cheryl Rohan and husband Paul. Loving grandmother
of Carl, John, Michael and Natalie; step grandmother of eight, step
great grandmother of three. Dearest daughter-in-law of Olive Ruetz;
our sister in law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Visitation was held at the Schrader Funeral Home of
Ballwin, with the funeral service held at United Church of Christ of
Manchester and interment at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
Lillian Dawson
Lillian Alice Dawson, nee Land, daughter of the late
Helen Coulson Land and Ronald Martin Land, was born at Leasburg,
Missouri on November 5, 1931 and passed away at the age of 74 years
on Friday, November 25, 2005 at her home in North Miami Beach,
Florida.
Lillian attended school in Leasburg, Sullivan and
Springfield, Missouri. She went on to work for Southwestern Bell
Telephone in St. Louis and Miami before returning to work as a clerk
in the Leasburg post office. Years later she was employed as a
bookkeeper in the Miami area.
Her family was her greatest joy. They filled her life
with love and laughter. Whether her family or friends, she was
always there when help was needed. She was truly a good friend.
For years Lillian was active in scouting, the Red Cross
and she was dedicated to the humane treatment of animals and to
educating their owners about timely neutering and spaying.
January 4, 1952 at the First Baptist Church in Leasburg,
she married Russell K. Dawson of Miami, Florida, where they made
their home.
She is survived by her loving husband, children,
sons-in-law and daughter-in-law; Shirley Kay and her husband, Bruce
Connuck, Theresa Lynn and her husband, Kevin Klein and William Kent
and his wife, Janice.
Grandchildren, Jeffrey and Scott Connuck, Katie and
Megan Klein, Kristina Dawson and step grandson Daniel Martinez.
Her sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law; her twin, Lois Land of Watagua, Texas, Joyce and
husband, Joseph of Warren, Michigan, Shirley and husband, Donald of
Bourbon, Missouri, Peter Lou and wife, Kathleen of Dayton, Ohio,
Donald and wife, Aiko of Poway, California, William Land of
Leasburg, Missouri and Wanda Fernimen Land of Cheyenne, Wyoming;
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, one brother,
Martin Haley Land and one sister, Dorothy Marsh.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 1 at
the Panciera Memorial Home, Hollywood, Florida.
Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Miami, Florida.
Eura Cora Glassey Ford
Eura Cora Glassey Ford, 90, passed away December 10, 2005,
at her son's Ste. Genevieve County residence.
Eura was born on July 28, 1915 in Cuba, Missouri, and
was the daughter of the late Soloman Licklider Sr. and Elizabeth,
Heironimus, Licklider.
Also preceding in death were her first husband, Isaac
Claire Glassey; her second husband, Lyle Ford; one son, Robert
Glassey. Two sisters, May Gossom and Bertha Sauter; four brothers,
Soloman, Licklider Jr, Null Licklider, Herbert Licklider and Lem
Licklider. Also preceding were one half brother, Arnold Licklider
and one grandson, Michael Glassey.
Eura was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church,
Farmington and was retired from McDonnell-Douglas, Inc.
Survivors include: one son, Ray (Naomi) Glassey of Ste.
Genevieve; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Glassey of Farmington,
Missouri. One sister, Virginia Lambeth of Iberia, Missouri. Seven
grandchildren: Dale Glassey, Lee Cook, Michelle Pfaff, Terry
Heberer, Cynthia Glassey, Allen Glassey and Sonya Korn. Also
surviving are 21 great grandchildren and 19 great great
grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 4-8 p.m.
and Wednesday from 7-11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc.,
Farmington.
Funeral service was Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the
Taylor Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. David Webster officiating.
Interment Wednesday, December 14 at 2 p.m. at Kinder
Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Herbert J. Licklider
Herbert James Licklider, 88 of Cantonment, Florida, went
to be with the Lord Saturday, November 12, 2005 with his family at
his side. He was born and raised in Jakes Prairie, Missouri.
Mr. Licklider was a member of Pine Haven Missionary
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife May
Licklider and his daughter, Beverly Faye Gates.
Herbert was a devoted husband and father who spent his
life in the construction field. He will be missed by his daughters
and family, but is now with his loving wife of 66 years, May
Licklider in Heaven. He retired from Dyson Construction after 30
years. If you needed it built he could build it. He had a great love
of hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Paula
and Richard Southern and Janet and Raymond Crosby and son-in-law
Douglas (Bud) Gates; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;
two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November
15, 2005 at Faith Chapel North with Rev. Jimmy Lancaster
officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Southern, Charles Southern, Scott
Crosby, Stephen Gates, Travis Gates and Keith Eads.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday,
November l4, 2005 at the funeral home.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home-North was in charge of
arrangements.
