Capehart (nee Kyle) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Florene E. O'Connor Kyle and passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 12 days. Joyce married William Capehart on November 10, 1951 at the St. John's Methodist Church, St. Louis, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Joyce worked several years in the cosmetics department at Stix Baer and Fuller Department Store, St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and working especially with her roses. She loved to shop with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florene Kyle; brother, Frank Buddy Kyle; and sister-in-law, "Puppy" Doris Kyle. She is survived by her husband, William Capehart of Cuba, Missouri; children, Kurt L. (Mary) Capehart of Augusta, Missouri, Linda S. (David) Cook of Aliso Viejo, California and Ellen L. (Andrew) Hall of Weldon Spring, Missouri; six grandchildren; three step grand- children; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation is Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. and memorial service is at 11 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Joseph M. Disser Joseph M. Disser of St. James, Missouri was born in Overland, Missouri on April 1, 1928 to Francis A. and Johanna Meschede Disser and passed away Thursday December 10, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Joe, as he preferred, grew up in Overland along with four brothers and two sisters where he attended All Souls Parochial School. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 years in February 1946 and was stationed out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he attained the rank of Motor Machinist Mate Third Class. Upon discharge from the Navy, he returned to Overland where he later met and married Beulah L. Bishop. They were married 54 years. Joe moved his family to a farm north of St. James Missouri in 1967 and was a well-known mechanic and formed many friendships. In later years he owned and operated the St. James Generator Service from which he retired in 1990. Upon retirement, Joe took an interest in restoring antique tractors and antique autos. Joe was well known in the community and served on the St. James Ambulance District Board of Directors for 17 years from 1985 until 2002. As board member and President, he helped to bring many innovations and improvements to the District. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Johanna Disser; his wife, Beulah, on July 3, 2005; brothers, John (infant), Charles, Edward, Bernard and Francis Disser; sisters, Anne Grojean and Frances Schupmann and sister-in-law, Lucille Disser. He is survived by sons, Larry Disser and Tom Disser of St. James, Missouri and Glen Disser (Marilyn) of Rolla, Missouri; daughter, Gail (Mark) Dunn of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Julie Adams (Chris), Bryan Disser, Charles Walters, Shana Dunn, Sean Dunn, Amanda Williams (Sam), Louis Disser and Logan Disser; great grand- children are Nicholas and Dominic Adams and Allia and Gloria Disser; sisters-in-law, Billie Disser, Audrey Disser and Deanne Deimeke; other relatives and friends. Margaret "Rachel" Moreland Margaret "Rachel" Moreland of Vienna, Missouri was born Racola, Missouri on May 17, 1920 to Joseph Lawrence and Anna May (Courtway) Thebeau and passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the age of 95 years. On September 1, 1951 Rachel Thebeau was united in marriage to Kenneth Moreland. Kenneth and Rachel opened the Moreland Resort down on the Gasconade river in 1977, in addition to the resort they later opened Moreland's Catfish restaurant. When she was not working Rachel enjoyed sewing, she loved making stuffed animals, aprons and clothes. She also enjoyed gardening with roses and gardenias being her favorite. She also loved to watch the hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends throughout the years she had met several loyal costumers that she also called her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Thebeau; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Joe Dinatale; daughter-in-law, Delores Boyster; granddaughter, Taylor Moreland; grandson, Rob Boyster; great grandson, T.J. Hayes; sister, Neil Yarbrough; and brothers, Mike, Lawrence and Larry Thebeau. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Moreland; children, James "Jim" Boyster of Vienna, Missouri, Les Moreland and wife Ginger of Vienna, Missouri and Robin Moreland of Vienna, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Lonnie Roy Shoemaker Lonnie Roy Shoemaker of Phoenix, Arizona, was born October 5, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to Benjamin and Lillian (Hodge) Shoemaker from the Oak Hill, Missouri area and passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the age of 66 years. Lonnie worked as a manager for various tire companies for many years before he retired in 2004. He loved working diligently on his family tree, not only a labor of love but a responsibility to past and future generations. Lonnie was a collector of knowledge, a logical thinker, and a fierce debater. Above all else in his life, Lonnie was 'Papa', a name he valued for most of his adult life. He took great pride in his grandchildren, loving them, teasing them, and reveling in their accomplishments. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lillian Shoemaker; sister, Doris; and brothers, Russell and Ben Shoemaker. A celebration of Lonnie's life will be held in the chapel at North Phoenix Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. Harold Logan Steen Harold Logan Steen of Tuscumbia, Missouri was born in St. James, Missouri on April 16, 1924 to John Logan and Orpha (White) Steen and passed away on November 28, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Harold spent the majority of his long life in the central Missouri area (St. James, Vichy and Belle) until settling in Tuscumbia, Missouri in the 1980s where he raised his younger five children. He worked as a heavy machiner operator, which took him to places all over the world. He took pride in the work that he did and his accomplishments that he made. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Steen, Chester Steen, Earl Steen, Jackson Steen and Oscar Steen; sister, Loraine Pedroli; one son, Jeremy R. Steen and two grandchildren, Jessica Steen and Tommy Cox. Judith Irene Stewart Judith Irene Stewart of St. James, Missouri was born on February 7, 1943 to Albert and Dorothy Boldt Stout in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on December 13, 2015 at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Richard Oran Stewart on March 10, 1962 in St. James, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Oran Stewart on March 1, 2011; parents, Albert and Dorothy Boldt Stout; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Stewart; and one sister, Betty Wright.
