On January 5, 1962 in Caledonia, Minnesota he was married Marcella Echols. He served his country with the United States Army and was a member of the Owensville Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Palma Beneke; brothers, Lowell Beneke and Roger Beneke; and grandson, Joshua Celli. He is survived by his wife, Marcella; daughters, Amanda Rosa and husband Kenny and Tammy Trotter and husband Frank, all of Owensville, Missouri; sisters, Elaine Stiegen and husband Neil of Anamosa, Iowa, Sandra Meitrodt of Bloomington, Minnesota, Donna Teff and husband Harry of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mary Jo Snitker and husband Don of Oelwien, Iowa; grandchildren, Angelicia Campbell, Joseph Celli, Tasha Toole, Matthew Toole, Nickolas Trotter and Alexzander Trotter; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Campbell of Cuba, Missouri was born February 12, 1945 at Charleston, West Virginia to Vernon and Violet (nee Perry) Campbell and passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the age of 69 years. Bobbie was an owner/operator over the road truck driver of 45 years. The last 13 years that he drove before retiring him and his wife Barb drove together. Bobbie was united in marriage to Barbara Blackwell on February 23, 1991 in South Carolina. Bobbie was a fan of old cars and trucks. He spent hours working on his semi to keep it running and looking good. He was an excellent mechanic and everyone always wanted him to work on their vehicles. Bobbie loved animals especially his beagles. Bobbie was the oldest child of 14 and spent most of his teenage years helping to raise his younger siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Violet; two sons, Bobbie A. Campbell, Jr. and Eric Blackwell; two brothers, Larry and Gary Campbell; and mother-in-law, Marie Blackwell. He is survived by his wife Barbara Campbell of the home; two daughters, Sonya and Cindy; grandchildren; 11 siblings; other relatives and friends. "Walt" Daehn of Cuba, Missouri was born to Walter and Anna (Leicht) Daehn on May 8, 1917 in Jefferson County, Missouri and passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the age of 97 1/2 years. Walt was married to Norma F. Rector on July 19, 1958 and to this union three children were born. Walt owned and operated for many years Walt's Auto Service and Walt's Lock Service. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8920, Cuba VFW Post #7147, American Legion Post #522 and the Disabled American Veterans. Walt always helped and served others in this community. He was a 47-year member and served 17 years as Fire Chief for the Cuba Volunteer Fire Dept., 30 years as a Crawford County Fair Board Member and served 17 years as a Council member for the City of Cuba. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Daehn; wife; two brothers, Frank L. and Clyde Daehn; and two sisters Bernice Bast and Eileen Hollrah. Deon Hollandsworth David Deon Hollandsworth of St. James, Missouri was born on July 28, 1939, in Rolla, Missouri to Martin and Essie (Smart) Hollandsworth and passed away Friday, December 5, 2014, at the age of 75. Deon attended Rolla Public Schools and worked at the Johnson, Stephens and Shinkle Shoe factory. From 1960-1980, he was married to Carolyn Sue Brown and of that marriage a daughter, Vicki Sue, was born in May, 1961. Although Vicki moved to Texas in May, 1979, she was always his little girl. On May 18, 1991, Deon married Patricia (Hilderbrand) Barnett. As a part of this marriage Pat's two children, Lucas and Carolyn Barnett of St. James, joined them in their home. Deon and Pat were happily married for 23 years. Deon worked over 40 years in Rolla, Missouri for wholesale beer distributors, Broyles Distributing and then Fred Voss Enterprises, as a delivery and sales person, until 1999. Later that same year, he started working for Grellner Sales & Service, as an over-the-road transport driver, until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed fishing and watching Cardinal's baseball games on TV. Deon's smile added to his personality, with a wonderful sense of humor, warmth and openness. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Bobby Lee; his parents, Martin and Essie Hollandsworth; and a nephew, Martin Hollandsworth, III. Joseph Larned James Joseph Larned James was born on February 9, 1932 to Marvin and Open Larned James and passed away on November 29, 2014. Growing up on the farm in Maries County, where a full day's work was expected, didn't inspire a farming career, but farming and family did however instill a sense of responsibility in young Joe. After high school, 1949, Joe joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in San Diego, California. Joe became a communications technician, sending/receiving teletype communications to sub-marines at sea. California and the navy life was a growing-up experience for this young man. In 1955, that sense of responsibility guided him to the College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri completing his degree in 1959. Cuba Rexall was the starting place some 55 years ago, following directly with Bourbon Rexall, Fairway Rexall, Uptown Pharmacy, Strauser Drugs, U.S.A Drugs and Walgreens. It was 2009, that the College of Pharmacy in St. Louis recognized Joe's 50 years of service to his profession. He continued working, keeping his license active through 2012. That sense of responsibility found great purpose in his professional life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Opal James; and one son, Mark John James. Robert "Bob" Richardson Robert "Bob" Richardson of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday, January 28, 1934 in Steelville, Missouri to Herschel Melvin and Hazel Lillian Luck Richardson and passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 14 days. Bob worked for a short time at Herman Body Truck Beds in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Jane Ellen Sanders on May 30, 1953 at Steelville Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Sam Roper and to this union two children were born. Bob and Jane lived in Steelville, Missouri where Bob started working as a lineman for Jack Frazier Construction Company installing telephone lines. He then went to work for Steelville Telephone Exchange as a lineman and retired after 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing and especially working on his 1948 Willy Jeep or hunting buggy. He liked raising sugar cane and making molasses in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Hazel Richardson; parents-in-law, Vernon (Agnes) Sanders and brother-in-law, Doyle Moutray. On August 28, 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany, he married Lisa Brett. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1959. Lloyd was a cement finisher for A-Haul Construction for many years in St. Louis, Missouri and as a cattle rancher in St. James, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, riding his four-wheeler and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lena Setzer; his wife, Lisa Setzer; one sister, Judy Setzer; and sister-in- law, Rita Setzer. Carmen Nadine Skouby Carmen Nadine Skouby of Freeburg, Missouri was born on July 12, 1929 in Anna, Illinois to Louie D. and Nina (Hoffner) Turner and passed away December 7, 2014. She married Chris Skouby on May 29, 1959 and to this union two daughters were born. Carmen was very knowledgeable on current events and political issues. She enjoyed watching Fox News, and the Western Channel. She served as secretary for the Missouri Lions Club for 16 years. The most important part of her life was her role of wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family and enjoyed getting together for a celebration or just a meal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Nina Turner; husband, Chris on October 5, 1996; and grandson, Austin Nelson on July 24, 2007. Charles Patrick Witt Charles Patrick Witt of Sullivan, Missouri was born January 13, 1943 at Sullivan, Missouri to Richard and Mary Agnes Witt and passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 27 days. He was a life-long resident of the Sullivan area. Charles enlisted in the U.S. Navy before graduating high school and though it was peace time, the Cold War was intense and he was called to Red Alert during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1963. On January 13, 1962 he married Miriam Oriet and to this union three sons were born. After honorably serving his country, the family came to Sullivan, Missouri where Charles was employed as a supervisor at Meramec Mining Company and later Pea Ridge Iron Ore Company where he retired upon its closing. He was a volunteer with the Sullivan Fire Protection District and enjoyed sports, coaching basketball and baseball. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was known as the comedian of the family. Charles was known as "Uncle Charlie" to everyone. He was instrumental in many projects and programs at Saint Anthony Catholic Parish and was former President of the Saint Anthony School Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Witt; four brothers; and nine sisters. He is survived by his wife, Miriam of the family home; three sons, Charles Witt and wife Nancy of Columbia, Missouri, Marty Witt and wife Brianna of Sullivan, Missouri and Travis Witt and wife Amy of Bourbon, Missouri; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
