Lexi attended St. Mary Cathedral School until moving to St. James, Missouri, her second grade year where she was raised by her parents Jim and Kassie (Nenninger) Foust. Lexi, college ambassador and honor student at John F. Hodge High School was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and always put others before herself. She was a Cadet teacher, member of Tau Iota Gamma, winner of the Who’s Who in Leadership Award, All American Scholarship award, National Honor Roll and worked as a cashier at Country Mart. Her friends and family were such an important part of her life. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Kassie Foust; her father, Michael Bartlett; her sister, Kylie Bartlett; her half-sisters, Chelsey LeGrand and Michaela Bartlett; her step-brother, Tristen Bartlett; grandparents, James and Verlee Foust, Wayne and Carolyn Nenninger and Shirley Hollowell; other relatives and friends. Lee Roy Bowman Lee Roy Bowman, of Rolla, Missouri was born in Neelyville, Missouri on July 1, 1926 to Quiller and Anna (Berry) Bowman and passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Lee was an U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII in General Patton’s Army Infantry in France. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quiller and Anna Bowman; three wives, Nina Sue, Thelma Lucille and Thelma Lois; a daughter, Carolyn Ventimiglia; and numerous brothers and sisters. Trude Cason Trude Cason of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, September 13, 1943 at St. Louis, Missouri to John and Gertrude (nee Lieser) Winkler and passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her home. Trude was united in marriage to Robert Cason on December 29, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Trude spent her life dedicated to taking care of her family. She spent hours listening to the radio (one was usually on in every room of the house) and could dance to any song playing, especially if it was Chuck Berry. She was the horseshoe champion and was always taking pictures with her camera or others. She was always “Happy Go Lucky” and loved life to the fullest but what she always enjoyed was having all the family together. Trude and Bob were members of the Amazing Grace Community Church. Vinita Jimmerson Vinita Jimmerson was born October 25, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away December 4, 2012 in Viburnum, Missouri at the age of 82 years. On March 22, 1952, Vinita Sellers was united in marriage to Bob Jimmerson and to this union one son was born. Vinita enjoyed crocheting and playing on mixed leagues with her husband in bowling and golf. Most of her time was spent idolizing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Macedonia United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Gladys (Wisdom) Sellers; husband, Bob Jimmerson and an infant brother, Vardell. Keeney nee Brown of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Thursday, October 26, 1922 in Marland, Oklahoma to Amos Earl and Anna Mary Hamlin Brown and passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 14 days. Maxine married Orville R. Keeney on May 20, 1939 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union five children were born. Maxine accepted the Lord early in life and was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, Missouri. She was active in the WMU, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and a quartet. She was a nurse for 25 years at Sullivan Hospital and at one time, was a writer for the Bourbon Beacon Newspaper. She enjoyed growing African violets and even won awards for them. She also liked reading, writing, gardening, collecting antiques and rocks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Anna Brown; husband, Orville; son, Randy Keeney; grandsons, Jerod and Brian Keeney; brother, Gerald (Freda) Brown; sons-in-law, Roy Maxey and Mike Kruse; and nephew, Neil Keeney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Nancy James; two husbands, Lloyd Phelps and Roland Moreland; brothers, Charles Guye James, Lonnie James, Jesse James; sisters, Decia Lineback, Daisy Griffith and Myrtle Matlock. Clyde Milton Scantlan Clyde Milton Scantlan, of Sullivan, Missouri, was born in Earlsboro, Oklahoma on March 15, 1930 to George and Nina Kitchen Scantlan and passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at the age of 82 years. Clyde married Ellen Lewis on January 5, 1951, at First Baptist Church, Bourbon, Missouri. Clyde graduated from Cuba High School.  Out of high school, he taught at a one-room schoolhouse, Oak Ridge Elementary, in rural Cuba.  During the summers he attended Southwest Baptist College until he began military service. Clyde served in the U.S. Navy for eight years and was a Korean War veteran. In 1986, after 23 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Post Office as a rural mail carrier out of Sullivan.  He enjoyed music and played the guitar for 67 years.  He also loved to travel visiting most states many times, and spent the winters in Florida for 21 years. As an active member of Temple Baptist Church for 53 years, he served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the adult choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nina Scantlan; one sister, Barbara Scantlan Hana and her husband Harvie Lee Hana; and one brother, Walter Scantlan. Simmerly of Bourbon, Missouri passed away at Saint Vincent’s Home in Quincy, Illinois, Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Loretta was born to Murty and Ollie (Kennedy) Whitley near Hannibal, Missouri at what was known as Pump House Hollow. In her younger days, she worked and lived in the St. Louis area for 16 years, before coming to Bourbon to make her home.  She was employed for over 20 years at Paramount Headwear Company as a custodian until ill health caused her retirement.  She enjoyed collecting ceramic figurines such as chickens, angels and dolphins.  She also collected chiming clocks and dolls. Loretta was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Bourbon and a member of the Ladies Aide. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murty and Ollie Whitley; a daughter, Bonnie Sue Shuck; five brothers, one in infancy, Charlie, Bill, Russell and Murty Whitley; and two sisters, Daisy Lawrence and Lola. Frances Southard Frances Southard of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 3, 1928 to Charles and Bernice (Mitton) Edwards and passed away December 13, 2012 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in St. Louis at that age of 84 years. On December 24, 1946 Frances was united in marriage to Harold Southard and to this union three children were born. Frances was a people person. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, but the light of her life were the two granddaughters that she was so proud of. She enjoyed sewing, camping on the river and the St. Louis Cardinals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernice Edwards; her husband, Harold on March 7, 2002; brother, Charles Leroy Edwards Jr.; brother-in-law, Roy Southard; and sister-in-law, Wynette Southard. William Allen Summers William Allen Summers of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Sullivan, Missouri on August 25, 1968 to William Lee and Wanda Pennock Summers and passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital, at the age of 44 years, 3 months and 13 days. Allen, as he was known by his family and friends, lived the majority of his life in the Bourbon area except for a time when he lived in Pennsylvania. While living there he worked on a dairy farm and assisted in its daily operation. Allen came back to Bourbon, Missouri and later graduated from Bourbon High School. He enjoyed music and watching TV, spending time with his family and friends and driving his van.  He was most fond of spending time with his best friends, Steve Dillon and Billy Hardesty. Allen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lee Summers. He and Georgia Owens were married December 17, 1989 in Nevada. Bill attended the First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan. He owned a heavy equipment excavating company and thoroughly enjoyed operating the big equipment. Boating on Lake of the Ozarks was another pleasure he had in his life and pheasant hunting South Dakota ranked right up there as well.  In his down time Bill would watch westerns on TV.  One thing that Bill loved to do in the morning was to load up in his truck with his dog Zac and go to town for breakfast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Rose Tyree; and a brother, Ralph Tyree.
