Moe was united in marriage to Brenda Tesreau on March 1, 1980. Moe served his country in the United States Army. He was owner and operator of the Barton Lodging in Jadwin, Missouri. Moe was a man of many talents, one being dancing, he was the master of "THE JIG". He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry. You never saw him without his pipe. Bonnilyn Rae Johnson Bonnilyn Rae Johnson was born on August 28, 1950, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Garland and Beverly (Wingad) Johnson-Kraus and was adopted later in life by Donald Roberts, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 15 days. She grew up in Eau Claire, attended and graduated from Memorial High School class of 1968, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and shareholder. Bonnilyn lived with her family in California for a time before moving to Missouri. She married Len Bond and they later divorced. Bonnilyn was employed by Super 8 Motel and eventually became the manager. Under her leadership, the Cuba Super eight won many awards and she individually won the Golden Pineapple Hospitality Award in 2001, a very rare International Award. Bonnilyn was very involved in the city of Cuba and Crawford County, including serving as president of the Chamber of Commerce and as the Democratic nominee for County Treasurer. She was involved in the Red Cross. Bonnilyn retired from her position at Super 8 because of a work- related injury. After retirement, she spent some time with her sister Becki in Wisconsin. Bonnilyn loved her family, her dog Babey T and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sports activities and watching daytime soap opera and crime-solving shows. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brittany; and her beloved dog, Babey T. Harry Harold Martin III Harry Harold Martin III of Steelville, Missouri was born July 30, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry H. Jr. and Marianne F. Roller Martin and passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the age of 43 years, 4 months and 11 days. On September 28, 2002 in Steelville, Missouri he married Amy S. Mounce. Harry was a member of the Laborers Local 840 Union for the last 24 years working for N.B. West Contracting. During his time with the union, he became an auditor in 2005 and was elected to the executive board in 2008. In January 2010, he was elected Vice-President and held that position until his retirement in March 2015. He was a member of Steelville Presbyterian Church. Harry always enjoyed working on cars and especially his 1967 Chevelle SS 396. He found time to take his sons on nature walks and shooting their guns. He loved being with his Grandma Martin and taking her for rides and going to car and gas pump shows with his dad. He loved teaching Hayden about cars and going on adventures to find the best french fries with Evan. Harry also loved teaching his boys all about rock bands, especially 80's music. He never wasted a minute of life together with Amy...he would always say, "Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite." He loved his community and found out what a supporter they were during his courageous battle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry H. Mary Lou, as she was known by many, married Milton L. Morris on July 21, 1962 at Belleville, Illinois. Mary Lou left the Belleville Township High School West in the 11th grade and went to work for the telephone company as switchboard operator, where she worked for 10 years. She then worked at First Illinois Bank, East St. Louis, as the secretary and the switchboard operator for 20+ years. Mary Lou raised beautiful flowers, was a wonderful cook (especially of the old German recipes she learned from her mom) and she spent hours bird watching. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and member of the Elks Lodge #664Ladies Auxiliary, Fairview Heights, Illinois. In 1996 Mary Lou and Milton moved to Indian Hills Lake. She cooked for all of the Cuba VFW special events for many years and they enjoyed traveling. For their 25th wedding anniversary they took the trip of a lifetime and went on a Caribbean Cruise. Mary Lou spent hours doing crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles and watching for the bald eagles at the lake. Kenneth spent his working career doing what he loved, which was working in the timber industry. Kenneth often said "Nothing better than a sharp chainsaw, and a nice tract of timber." He really enjoyed the outdoors and took advantage of living in the beautiful Ozarks with the bountiful streams and rivers for fishing and the beautiful countryside, perfect place to find that deer to fill the freezer for the winter months. Kenneth had accepted Jesus and was ready for his day of homecoming. Betty was united in marriage to Mack Richardson on July 13, 1950. They bought a small farm just outside of St. James, Missouri where Betty would work cattle and "farm" while Mack worked in St. Louis, Missouri. Betty loved the farm, she loved animals so having extra dogs, cattle and other farm animals around was always a joy to her. Betty always raised a big and bountiful garden every year, then she spent many hours canning and making the wonderful jams and jellies that her family was able to eat all year. She enjoyed attending church and although she didn't really belong to one particular church, she attended the different churches in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Craig; two sons, Jack and Billy Joe Richardson; two sisters; and three brothers. She retired from the Crawford County R-1 School District, after many years of teaching the students at the Bourbon Elementary School. Patsy Ruth Schatz Patsy Ruth Schatz of Bourbon, Missouri was born July 8, 1934 in Hemet, California to Arttie and Edith (Craver) Sullivan and passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the age of 82 years. She grew up and attended school in California. On November 26, 1950 Patsy married Charles Schatz in Beaumont, California. In 1954, Charlie and Patsy moved the family back to Missouri and they made their home in Sullivan, Missouri. She worked for several years for the Ramsey Corp. and eventually went to work for Fidelity for the next 36 years. Patsy continued working after Charlie's death in 1990 retiring from Fidelity in 1998. She loved hand embroidery, and through the years her family were the recipients of her many cherished creations including pillowcases. Patsy loved to play dominoes. She was an active member of the Word of Life Church in Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; and two sisters, Betty Whisenand and Barbara Kinford. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy from 14 July 1948 until 19 June 1952. He earned the Navy Occupation Service Medal, the China Service Medal and he served on the U.S.S. Helena. Bob worked as a welder for Echo Supply in Cuba, Missouri for several years, then he was an American Family Insurance Agent for six years and then he returned and retired from Echo Supply after many years of dedicated service. Bob was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba, Missouri. Bob has been happily married to Lucille Schumer Taylor for the last 36 years. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball. In his younger years he played basketball and he boxed while in the Navy. Bob loved to tell stories about being in the Navy. Lindel "Dean" Vaughn Lindel "Dean" Vaughn was born on May 28, 1954 to Arliss A. Vaughn and Roberta R. (Lancaster) Vaughn and passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the age of 62 years. He grew up and attended school in both St. Louis and Festus, Missouri. He worked on the river for the Wisconsin Barge Line before meeting and marrying Kathy Hill on December 29, 1979 in St. Clair, Missouri. For the next 25 years, Dean was employed by the Chrysler Corporation and retired from there in 2010. He then went to work for the Sullivan School District and remained there until his death. Known and beloved by the kids as "Matman", this was the highlight of his working years. Dean was an avid turkey hunter, however he enjoyed all types of hunting. He also like to golf and barbeque for his family. He was the "superhero" to his family. Dean was also a member of Tri County Church of Christ in Sullivan, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Arliss A. Vaughn. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Vaughn; three sons, Jesse Vaughn, Cody Vaughn and Clifton Vaughn and wife Jessica, all of Sullivan, Missouri; mother, Roberta Smith and husband Jim of Bourbon, Missouri; father-in-law, Billy Hill and his wife Pat and mother-in-law, Roma Lee, all of St. Clair, Missouri; two brothers, Doug Vaughn and wife Diane of Bourbon, Missouri and Ronnie Hill and wife Carol of St. Clair, Missouri; one sister, Kelly Bauer and husband Walter of Wildwood, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Hunter, Jayden, Bentley, Aubrianna, Dakota, Kenedie, Clifton II, Jack, Izaac, Finley, Pierce, and Esme; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel, Sullivan, Missouri. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sullivan, Missouri with Ben Justice officiating. Burial was at the Crestview Cemetery in Lonedell, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.
