MO Local Obituaries for the Week updated Dec. 22, 2005 Doyle Edwin Isom Sr. Doyle Edwin Isom, Sr., passed away at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Doyle was born on November 28, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles Austin and Hattie Jane, nee Garrison, Isom. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Springfield DAV Chapter 11 and of the Pentecostal faith. On December 12, 1946 he was united in marriage with Nedra M. Blackwell in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include: three daughters, Jennie Johnson and husband Jay of Rolla, Missouri, Sandra Isom, Anchorage, Alaska and Jaman Long and husband Greg of Indianapolis, Indiana. Three sons, Doyle Isom Jr. and wife Vicki, Bourbon, Missouri, Harold Isom and wife Ann Marie, Summerville, South Carolina and Mark Isom and wife Karen, Pierce City, Missouri. Several nieces and nephews, 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. His parents, seven sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. Visitation was at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Sunday, November 27 from 1-2 p.m. Graveside services with full military honors were held Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri with the Chaplain Gary Gilmore officiating. John Barton Lloyd Jr. John Barton Lloyd, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born April 10, 1924 at Green Brier, Missouri to the union of John Radon Lloyd, Sr. and Nellie Virginia, nee Dixon, Lloyd and left from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2095 at his residence in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 81 years 8 months and 7 days. John has been united in marriage for over 60 years to Wanda "Maxine" Lloyd. They were married at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born; John B. III, Rodney, Betty and Rebecca. John was an employee for Steel Weld Equipment at St. Clair, Missouri for 36 years. He retired as the plant manager at the age of 62. John had been an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church for 50 years. He was a master wood carver, talented painter - painting murals on the nose of airplanes in England during WWII while serving in the US Air Corp. John is preceded in death by his parents. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his wonderful wife Maxine, two sons John B. Lloyd III and wife Cheryl of Sullivan, Rodney Lloyd and wife Linda of the Keys in Florida, two daughters Betty Bouse and husband Charles of Bourbon and Rebecca Swope of Cuba, one brother Roy Lloyd and wife Willadean of Advance; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. John was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother in law, minister and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2l at Calvary Assembly of God Church of Cuba, Missouri. Interment was in Kinder Cemetery with full Military Honors. All arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Minnie Alvenia Blevins Prince Minnie Alvenia Blevins Prince of Cuba, Missouri was born January 27, 1914 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Walter E. and Margaret P. (nee Klotz) Ermert and left from this life on Friday, December 9, 2005 in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 12 days. Minnie retired from Elders Medical Clinic after 35 years as a Medical Bookkeeper. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri, St. Paul's Ladies Aide, Three Mile Club, former secretary/treasurer for the fair board and secretary/treasurer for over 40 years of the Mounts Cemetery Association. Minnie was united in marriage to Russell Blevins on June 10, 1933 and to this union three children were born, Dale, Larry and June. A few years after Russell's death, Minnie was united in marriage to Nick Prince on July 11, 1987. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands. Minnie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Those who survive to mourn her passing are her three children Dale (Carol) Blevins of Cuba, Missouri Larry (Tena) Blevins of St, James, Missouri and June (Forrest) Pierce of St. Louis, Missouri; two step children Carmela Kalinowski and Nicki (Michael) DiFranco. Nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Monday, December 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, 904 West Washington St. Cuba, Missouri and also at the church Tuesday, December l3 from 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service was held Tuesday, December 13, 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Fleenor Rd. Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Musical selections were provided by organist Donna Bond. Pallbearers were Russell, Paul, Walter, Tony and Scott Blevins and Jason Lammert. Burial was in the Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. April Dawn Ritchhart April Dawn Ritchhart was born on Sunday, July 7, 1969 in Waukegan, Illinois to the union of Omer Edward Ritchhart, Jr. and Helen Jean Frayer Ritchhart. She passed away at Salem Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the age of 36 years, 4 months and 12 days. April was the mother of four children whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, shopping, collecting coins and jewelry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Those who remain to mourn her passing are fiancée Coly Vandergriffe of Salem, Missouri; children, Lason, Joshuah, Brennon and Skarlett Ritchhart of Salem, Missouri; father Omer E. Ritchhart Jr. and mother Helen J. Frayer Ritchhart, all of Cook Station, Missouri. Loretta Turnbough Loretta Turnbough was born Monday, January 11, 1904, at St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Minnie Mae, nee Pultz and James Arthur Dillinger. She departed this life Thursday, December 15, 2005, at the St. Sophia Health and Rehabilitation Center, Florissant, Missouri, at the age of 101 years, 11 months and 1 day. On September 22, 1924, Loretta was united in marriage to Troy Virgil Turnbough, son of the late Samuel Austin Turnbough and Rosa Bell, nee Beers, Turnbough. Three daughters, Rosemary, Joan and Jean (twins) were born to this union. They enjoyed over 71 years together, before his death, June 14, 1996. Troy and Loretta had the honor of being the first king and queen of Golden Echoes. In addition to her parents and Troy, Loretta was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Dillinger, a sister, Pearl Grossenheider and son-in-law, Leonard Van Middlesworth. She was also preceded in death by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Myrtle Worley Casebolt, Alice Barr, Bertha (Fred) Tinker, Dora Laird Watson, Amanda Tinker, Hattie Turnbough, Roy Theodore (Beulah) Turnbough, Henry, Emery and Floyd Turnbough. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her three daughters, Rosemary Van Middlesworth of St. Louis, Missouri, Jean and husband Robert Harke of St. Charles, Missouri and Joan Baker and husband Thomas of O'Fallon, Missouri. Thirteen grandchildren, Carol Tipton and husband Larry, Robert Van Middlesworth and wife Cathy, David Van Middlesworth and wife Leslie, James Baker and wife Gail, Robert Harke and wife Mary Kay, Dennis Baker and wife Michelle, Greg Harke and wife Joy, Pam Wynn and husband Mike, Joe Harke, Paula Mennemeier and husband Mark, Cathy Pittman and husband John, Donna Herbst and husband Rick, Ann Marie Azar and husband Jeff. Forty-seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Loretta Turnbough lay in state after 10 a.m. with funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005, at the Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Peter Gounis officiating. Musical selections were provided by Finis Barr and Rev. Jerry Beers. Committal prayers and interment was in Sellers Cemetery, Dillard, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Baker, Bobby Harke, Greg Harke, Joe Harke, Bobby Van Middlesworth and Tommy Winn.
