On December 26, 1941 she married William Alexander, and to this union two children were born. Jo was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. She loved her family and enjoyed getting together for dinner always cooking family favorites like her famous pecan pie, fried chicken and could make a chicken pot pie that melted in your mouth. When she was younger Jo went to beauty school, although she never did work in a shop, Jo loved to practice on the family. She also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. Later Jo, by accident got into breeding and raising Yorkshire Terriers, otherwise know as Yorkies, she really enjoyed getting new puppies and making sure they all got a good "forever" home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dora Wilson; husband, William; and brother, Ralph Wilson. Rhea Badley Rhea Badley, nee Parker, of Blue Eye, Missouri was born on Friday, February 11, 1916 in Blue Eye, Arkansas to Dennis Riley and Mellie Ethel Hutchison Parker and passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 98 years, 10 months and 6 days. Rhea accepted the Lord at 13 years of age in Petaluma, California. She became a member of First Baptist Church in Blue Eye, Missouri. She married Carthel H. Badley on May 14, 1936 in Blue Eye, Missouri and to this union a son was born. She worked as an accounting supervisor at Business Mens Assurance and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Blue Chapter #2 in Kansas City, MO. Rhea was very creative as an accomplished loomer and weaver, making wall hangings, place mats, and rugs at Silver Dollar City. She also, enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, needlework, and crocheting, She co-owned and operated Blue Eye General Store then later DX Gas Station and Feed Store in Blue Eye. She then worked for Franklin Variety and ended her working career at Doughboys Pizza where she was known as the salad queen. Sally was raised Baptist and dedicated her life to the Lord at a very young age. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, writing poetry and playing the Play Station. Rose Mary was united in marriage to Jim Dillon on June 5, 1955 and to this union, three children were born Rose Mary loved her family and always put them first in her life. Before she was married, Rose Mary taught grade school in Bourbon, Missouri and later substitute taught at the St. James, Missouri grade school. When she wasn't taking care of her family, in her younger years, she played golf and bridge, she liked to read and she liked to knit, she watched classic westerns and she loved to travel. He was a police officer and worked in the law enforcement for many years. She attended school at Steinbach for eight years, at Goessel High School, Goessel, Kansas the next four years and attended one year at Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She was married to Richard Raymond Goertz on April 7, 1953 at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. They lived on the farm near Walton, Kansas until 1979 when they sold the farm and went into training for missionary work with New Tribes Mission. They served as support missionaries in the Philippines for a total of 13 years after which they retired to Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 2007, they moved with a daughter and family to St. James, Missouri. Lela loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She spent many summers teaching young children in Daily Vacation Bible School. She also loved all kinds of handwork and spent much time making quilts for her granddaughters and afghans for her grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edumnd and Agatha Hiebert. Jerry was known by his family and friends as Pug. On July 25, 1964 in Rock Island, Illinois, Pug married Jettie Watson and to this union, three children were born. Pug spent all of his working life driving a truck or machinery. He drove an over the road truck for over 20 years and then worked for Phelps County driving a dump truck and operating a road grader. He then worked for Vick Gargus hauling sawdust and after that he worked for Mc Kennon, hauling clay. Pug's greatest love was his wife of 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and always had a story about the big one that got away. He enjoyed woodworking and had built boats, furniture porch swings and furniture that the family still uses. She was united in marriage to Gerald Martens on January 4, 1959 and to this union three children were born. Katherine was a longtime member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri. As the matriarch of the family, she instilled good morals and values to everyone she came in contact with. Katherine was always a lady known for her style and grace. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and house keeping. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends who will remember and miss her pies, homemade noodles and her famous cinnamon rolls. She and Gerald were blessed with 55 years together. Buddy Sizemore Buddy Sizemore, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born October 20, 1931 in Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on December 15, 2014 in Huntsville, Alabama. Four areas of his life were most important to Buddy: his relationship with God and his church; his wife and family; gospel music; and sports. He quietly served as a deacon, choir member, teacher, emergency relief volunteer and visitor of those in the hospital. Throughout his life he could be found sitting in Sunday School or in a service taking thoughtful notes with his Bible open on his lap. He shared his faith with his family. He enjoyed having his family visit was having his children and their families sing in church. Of course, those who thought of Buddy as a quiet man only had to ask a sports question to open a floodgate of conversation. Formerly of Cuba, Missouri, where he resided for 33 years, he spent the past eight years in Huntsville, Alabama. Billy "Bill" Don Stites Billy "Bill" Don Stites of Steelville, Missouri was born August 12, 1941 in Keysville, Missouri to Winfred and Dovie Oxendine Stites and passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 7 days. In 1962, he married Sherry Bryan. Bill lived and worked on a dairy farm with his brothers until he went to work with his father-in-law (Paul Bryan) at Echo Supply Company in March of 1964. He worked there for 32 years before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed bowling on a league in his younger years. He enjoyed gigging with family and loved to hunt. Bill was always looking forward to turkey and deer season. He also loved coon hunting with his favorite dog "May Belle" and had won over 100 trophies. Bill loved watching his children play sports and tried to go to every sporting event they were involved in. He coached little league baseball for many years when his son Brian and his friends were young and the girls would always go to cheer them on. He enjoyed the family get togethers, especially when there was going to be chicken, dumplings and coconut cream pie. Bill accepted the Lord into his heart and was baptized on September 14, 2014 with Pastor Jerry Beers doing the honors at Bill's request. Chilton Workman, Jr. Chilton Workman, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to Chilton and Lulu (Andrae) Workman on Saturday, February 17, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Known to his friends and family as "Chilly", he was united in marriage to Frieda Stubblefield on March 15, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union one son was born. He served his country honorably in the Merchant Marines during WWII traveling to many of the areas of conflict. In addition to founding Workman Construction Company in 1953, Chilly was also a member of Trinity Chapel Presbyterian Church, Cuba Masonic Lodge #312 A.F. & A.M., O.E.S. Chapter #398, Scottish Rite and Moolah Shrine Temple. In 1963, Chilly and Frieda along with Chilly's father-in-law "Dad Stubblefield" and Lee Smith constructed Stubblefield Lake off Oak Hill Road in Cuba, Missouri. Chilly and Frieda have lived there ever since and many family members and friends have learned to swim and ski on this lake. Chilly believed life was an adventure and he loved swimming and skiing, dancing, singing and spending time with his family and friends. He was united in marriage to Rose Engler on July 28, 1978 in Steelville, Missouri. Bill was baptized and christened at the Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis. Bill owned his own small business the Pole Bridge Tavern at Davisville from 1974 to the present, which was an achievement for him and his family since so many small businesses fail. He was considered a father figure to many that he encountered and was referred to as Uncle Billy. Bill enjoyed watching sports, especially football and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rose Young of Davisville, Missouri; one daughter, Joyce Bleything and husband Josh of Davisville, Missouri; three sisters, Carol Joyce Young and Sharon Breen and husband Patrick all of Cuba, Missouri and Susan Abrams and husband Michael of Washington, Missouri; two grandchildren, Nickolas James and Allie Nichole; other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of "Tonight," "That's When I Love You" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" was played. Committal prayer and interment were in the Young Family Cemetery, Davisville, Missouri. Casket bearers were Donnie Boulch, Danny Bobbitt, David Gutknecht, Dave Gillam, Matt Gillam and Matt Richardson with honorary casket bearer, Joe Hendrix.
