Brennan Helen Louise Brennan of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, September 13, 1924 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Wilson L. and Effie Mary (nee Monda) McIntosh and passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 12 days. Helen was united in marriage to Thomas Patrick Brennan on July 23, 1942 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Helen spent her life taking care of her home and her family. In her spare time she enjoyed embroidering quilt blocks, quilting, and all of her beautiful flowers, but the most important thing to her, was her family and spending time with them. She was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Rosati. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Clarence Eugene McIntosh; three sisters-in-law, Betty, Sis and Marilyn McIntosh; one brother-in-law, Raymond Hughes; other relatives and friends. She is survived by a son, William Thomas “Bill” and wife Linda Brennan of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters, Wanda Louise and husband Larry Lovan of Webster Groves, Missouri and Mary Sue and husband David Wallen of Rolla, Missouri; five brothers, William Alexander McIntosh of Rolla, Missouri, David Gerald McIntosh of Illinois, Walter E. and wife Shirley McIntosh of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry Wilson and wife Lorraine McIntosh of Illinois and Dale Lee and wife Pat McIntosh of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Juanita Hughes of Cuba, Missouri; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Monday, December 29, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Funeral mass was at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Rosati with Father David Viet as celebrant. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Richard Liebenguth Richard Liebenguth of Bourbon, Missouri was born November 13, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Virgil and Emma Estelle (Rose) Liebenguth and passed away at his home Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the age of 71 years. He was raised in the St. Louis area and was self-employed many years as a carpenter. On October 26, 1957 he was married Margaret Ann Brown at the First Baptist Church in Lemay, Missouri and to this marriage three sons were born. Upon his retirement seven years ago, he and Margaret moved to the Bourbon area and made their home. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and found enjoyment working with wood. He never knew a stranger and was a friend to all. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon, Missouri where he took an active part in running the sound board, was involved in the bus ministry and worked at many church functions and dinners. He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Jay Liebenguth and wife Denise of Kansas, David Liebenguth and wife Sherry of Sullivan, Missouri, Scott Liebenguth and wife Cindy of Garden City, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Parrott and husband Jesse of Rolla, Missouri; nine grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rose Sommerfield of Oakville, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 from the First Baptist Church in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Ted Hurley officiating. Edith Henrietta Pauley Edith Henrietta Pauley was born on May 17, 1936, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Joseph and Edith (Bird) Childers and passed away at her daughter’s home in St. James, Missouri on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at the age of 72 years and 7 months, after a lengthy battle with cancer. On May 2, 1954 Edith was united in marriage to Vernie E. Pauley, Sr. Edith spent the majority of her life babysitting for others and raising her growing family. She loved to watch game shows, she was a very talented cake designer, wedding cakes were her favorite, she also loved to sew, and sewing for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernie Pauley Sr.; parents; stepfather; brother, Wilber Childers; sons-in-laws, Michael Duckworth and Donald Parsons; brother-in-law, John Prichett. Stevson Madeline G. “Mackie” Stevson (nee Gibson) of Overland Park, Kansas formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Preston A. and Virginia S. (Nichols) Gibson on March 19, 1928 in Steelville, Missouri and passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 6 days. Mackie retired from McDonnell Douglas as administrative assistant. She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billie Louis Stevson; one brother, Preston A. “Bud” Gibson, Jr.; two sisters, Geraldine Smith and Virginia Mae Schlemmer; step-grandson, Gary Stevson; other relatives and friends. Loree G. Ware Loree G. Ware of Sullivan formerly of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of Roy K. and Hazel A. (Shaw) Stevens on Tuesday, April 26, 1921 in Cuba, Missouri and passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 27 days. Loree was united in marriage to Roy A. Ware on December 7, 1939 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Loree worked for the Cuba Shoe Factory and later worked as a receptionist for Dr. Gross. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, where she taught Sunday School for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning, singing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Ronald Ware; three brothers, John, Wayne and Glen Stevens; one sister, Lucille Spurgeon; one daughter-in-law, Paula Ware; one grandson, Gregory Ware; other relatives and friends. Williamson of Bourbon, Missouri was born August 8, 1925 at Sullivan, Missouri to Charles S. and Minda Ruby (Woodruff) Immekus and passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the age of 83 years. She lived the major part of her life in the Sullivan area except for a time living in Bridgeton, Missouri. On October 7, 1943 she was united in marriage to Robert Williamson at Sullivan, Missouri and to this union three children were born. She was employed many years as a machinist at the former PACCO Company in Sullivan, Missouri. When the plant moved to St. Louis and became part of the Borg-Warner Corporation, she followed and worked there until she retired. She enjoyed sewing and her cats and dogs. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Bobby and a brother, Oral Immekus. She is survived by a son, Gene Williamson and wife Jody of Sullivan, Missouri; one daughter, Terry Roach of Bourbon, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Wilmurth (nee Stricker) of St. James, Missouri, was born in DeCamp, Missouri on December 10, 1912, and passed away on December 18, 2008, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 96 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie N. and William G. Stricker; her daughter, Norma J. Mace, and seven sisters and brothers. A funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri. Interment followed at the St. James Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri. Marjorie R. Zundel Marjorie Rita Zundel of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, March 27, 1930 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Harold and Teresa (nee Hannon) Sneckner and passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 29 days. Marjorie worked as a claims adjuster for Hertz Insurance Company for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary “Peggy” Sneckner; one brother, Thomas Sneckner; other relatives and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Zundel of Thousand Oaks, California; two sons, Tom Zundel of Chehalis, Washington and Tim Zundel of Cuba, Missouri; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
