CLARENCE LONG

Clarence Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long of this place, died at 
the home of his parents Thursday, March 1, 1917 in his twenty-third year.
For sometime Clarence had been motorman on a street car in St. Louis.
The work seemed hard for him and some months ago he gave it up, but 
recuperating by the rest he again went to work, but his health again 
failing he came home some weeks ago. He failed to improve, but continued 
to grow weaker, and passed away on the above mentioned date. Clarence was 
an industrious young man and had many young friends. He was married to 
Miss Viola Conlin of Oak Ridge, Crawford County and to them were born 
two children, Geneva A. and Clarence E., all of whom survive him. He is 
also survived by his parents, and brothers and sisters. 
The funeral services were conducted in the M. E. Church by Rev. A. H. Barnes 
and the remains laid to rest in the Kender Cemetery, Cuba, Crawford, Missouri.
