MRS. JOSEPHINE MILLER Mrs. Josephine Miller passed away April 10 at the home of her son, Joe Miller of Jasper, Mo. with whom she had made her home the past 10 years, at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 17 days. She enjoyed exceptionally good health her entire life. In February of 1935 she contracted pneumonia from which she recovered and was in extra good health for her age. She took a slight cold April 6 but was able to be up and wait on herself until noon, April 10th when she had a heart attack which proved fatal. The end came at 10 minutes to 4 in the afternoon, April 10th. She was the daughter of Jared B. and Mary Josephine Moss and was born in Illinois February 23, 1857. She moved to Missouri with her parents when 7 years old, where she lived with her parents on their homestead located half way between Cuba and Steelville. She lived there until the fall of 1914 when she moved to Kansas. Mrs. Miller was married to John W. Miller, Nov. 16, 1876 and to this union were born 9 children of whom two and her husband preceded her in death. She leaves five sons and two daughters to mourn her death: Mrs. Della M. Houser, Chelsea, Okla., Ivy B. and Ed L. Miller of Tulsa, Okla., Frank and John L. Miller of Fresno, Ca., and Mrs. Blanche Cotton of Dallas, Texas. The eldest of nine children, of which four survive her:, L. T. Moss Steelville, Stanton Moss, Weir, Kansas, and P. D. and L. G. Moss of Cuba. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 12th at 2 p.m. at Zion Church with interment in Mitchell Cemetery 4 mi. east of Jasper, Mo.
