Ronald Eugene Cottrell
Ronald Eugene Cottrell of High Ridge, Missouri, formerly of Dillard,
Missouri, was born April 23, 1939 in Steelville, Missouri to Earl
Esco and Lena Webb Cottrell and passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013
in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 27 days.
Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. For
the last few years he owned and operated a metal coating business
in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron was a member of the Elks Club in
St. Louis, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lena Cottrell;
four brothers, Burton, Roy, Vencil and Midford Cottrell; and four
sisters, Wilma Crabtree, Helen Robinson, Lois Barton and Norma Hogan.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Ronald Cottrell and wife Tori
of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Malinda Lane Spurgeon and husband
James of High Ridge, Missouri; one brother, William Cottrell of
St. Clair, Missouri; one sister, Rilma Mash of St. James, Missouri;
one sister-in-law, Alline Cottrell of Sullivan, Missouri; seven
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at
the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Larry
Howdeshell, Jr. officiating. Special music of “When I Get Where I am
Going”, How Great Thou Art” and “I’ll Fly Away” was played.
Committal prayer, full military honors and interment were in the Old
Dillard Cemetery at Dillard, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Jim Cottrell, Nick Spurgeon, T.J. Plopper, Jake
Howdeshell, Joe Howdeshell, Dale Cottrell, David Cottrell and Jeff
Cottrell.

Delma J. Garrison
Delma J. Garrison of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Huzzah, Missouri on
June 19, 1930 to Alfred and Nettie (Harper) Garrison and passed away
Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Delma lived in the Berryman area until the age of 14 when she moved
with her family to Bourbon, Missouri.
She was a 52-year employee of Paramount Headwear Company and long-time
member of the First Assembly of God in Bourbon, Missouri. She was
known as a loving and giving person who had a big heart and was a
good friend to many
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Nettie Garrison;
three brothers, Melvin, Edmund and James Garrison; and three sisters,
Lucille Garrison in infancy, Bettie DeVerger and Claudine Hill.
She is survived by a son, Larry Eugene Garrison and wife Brenda of
Bourbon, Missouri; two sisters, Mildred Pennock and husband Paul of
East Peoria, Illinois and Norma Fowler and husband Calvin of Bourbon,
Missouri; two granddaughters, Kristi Scott and husband Jeff and
Melissa Popp and husband Reuben; one great granddaughter, Dessa Paige
Scott and another great grandchild anticipated in December; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 18, 2013 at
the First Assembly of God in Bourbon, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013
from the First Assembly of God in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Derik
Ruble officiating.
Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery.
Arrangements under the dirrection of the Eaton Funeral Home,
Sullivan, Missouri.
Florence A. “Flo” Koviak
Florence A. “Flo” Koviak, nee Enstall, was born December 31, 1919 to
Albert and Wilhelmina “Minnie” Bales Enstall and passed away Thursday,
June 20, 2013 at the Gibbs Care Center in Steelville, Missouri at the
age of 93 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Florence married Theodore Joseph Koviak, Sr. on May 8, 1943 in
St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
Florence and Theodore lived in St. Louis, Missouri most of their lives
before moving to Sunrise Beach, Missouri. They were members of the
St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, Missouri. Florence worked in
retail sales at Famous Barr for many years before retiring at the
lake. She was a member and volunteered at the American Legion Zack
Wheat Post #624 of Sunrise Beach, Missouri and VFW post #5923 in
Laurie, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing, socializing with her friends
and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 7, 2012; and a
son, Theodore Joseph Koviak, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Jill (Randy) Waldman of St. Louis,
Missouri; five grandchildren, Dawn (Marty) Green of Steelville,
Missouri, Melanie (Michael) Monahan of Tucson, Arizona, Bob (Chelle)
Bransietter, Chris Koviak and Clay (Kay) Koviak, all of St. Louis,
Missouri; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild;
brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles (Pam) Koviak of Lake
St. Louis, Missouri and Virginia “Ginny” Glenn of North Little
Rock, Arkansas; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be Friday, June 28, 2013 at Jefferson Barracks,
St. Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in
Steelville, Missouri.
Margie A. Payne
Margie Payne, formally of Sullivan, Missouri was born December 2, 1935
in Northcutt, Missouri to Richard McKinley and Mary Agnes Hayes Witt
and passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Frene Valley Health
Center in Hermann, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
She and Woodrow E. Payne were married March 6, 1954.
Margie was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg,
Missouri. She was a cook at the Sullivan Elementary School for
several years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard McKinley and Mary
Witt; her husband, Woodrow Payne on February 19, 2011; a son, Woodrow
Allen Payne; four brothers, Kenneth, Wendell, Lewis and James Witt;
eight sisters, Marion, Genevieve, Estelle, Edna, Cecil, Betty, Nora
and Hazel.
She is survived by a son, Rick Payne and wife Josie of Hermann,
Missouri; brother, Charles Witt of Sullivan, Missouri; daughter-
in-law, Sherry Horn; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the
Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri
Funeral services were on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the
Chapel with burial at the Crossroads Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.

Sullivan, Missouri.
JoAnn Pauline Barton Renfro
JoAnn Pauline Barton Renfro of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of St. Clair,
Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 7, 1937 to William
Everett and Beulah Lee McMullin, (nee Robertson) and passed away
June 14, 2013, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 7 days.
As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have five
children. On October 17, 1983 she was united in marriage to Dewey
Clinton Renfro and their families were joined as one.
JoAnn was a Christian and member of Change of Heart Church in Cuba,
Missouri. She also liked to visit Good Hope Baptist Church in
St. Clair, Missouri. She loved going to church and fellowshipping
with others. JoAnn had a benevolent spirit, always helping those in
need. She loved going for rides and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah
McMullin; and by her brother, Leroy McMullin, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Renfro of Cuba, Missouri; her
children, Vickie Harms and husband, Karl, of Rolla, Missouri, Scott
Barton and wife, Lisa, of Sullivan, Missouri, Angela Ritter and
husband, Tim, of Washington, Missouri, John Barton and wife, Cathy,
of St. Clair, Missouri and Jody Barton and companion, Scott Weatherby,
of Steelville, Missouri; two step-children; her sister-in-law, Karen
Stonecypher of Torrenton, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grand-
children; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at
the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri with
Rev. Duane Banderman officiating.
Private committal services will be held at a later date.
Ina Mae Diestelkamp Prebianca Spurgeon
Ina Mae Diestelkamp Prebianca Spurgeon of St. James, Missouri was
born on December 18, 1933 in Oak Grove, Missouri to William and Oma
(Spurgeon) Diestelkamp and passed away on June 18, 2013 at Rolla
Manor Care in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 79 years and 6 months.
She married Raymond Prebianca and to this union was blessed with
three children: Jimmie, Carol and Gloria.
Ina lived and worked her whole life in St. James, Missouir. After
the death of her husband Raymond, she found love again with Galloway
Spurgeon and they were married on February 3, 2001.
Ina loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers, cooking and her cats,
dogs and birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Oma
Diestelkamp; husband, Raymond; son, Jimmie; and infant brother,
Doyle. She is survived by husband Galloway of the home; daughters,
Carol Webster and husband Gary of St. James, Missouri and Gloria
Smith and husband Rich of Cuba, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Yolanda
Prebianca of St. James, Missouri; three step children, Debbie
Williams and husband
Kenneth of St. James, Missouri, Judy Self and husband Rich of
Paducah,
Kentucky and John Spurgeon and wife Janet of St. James, Missouri;
grandchildren, Misty, Chip, Christy, Frances, Carla and Jennie; two
great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 12 step great grand-
children; one step great great grandchild; brother, Bill Diestelkamp
and wife Nadine of Rosebud, Missouri; many other relatives and
friends. Visitation was on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at
the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with prayer service
at 3:30 p.m.Funeral services were at the Immaculate Conception
Church in St. James, Missouri on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at noon
with Father Charles Pardee officiating.
Pallbearers were Chip Webster, John Spurgeon, Mike Spurgeon, Scott
John, Greg John, Brian John and Corey Williams. Estella Grotha was
at the organ and the vocalist was Helen Cornick.
Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery in
St. James, Missouri.

St. James, Missouri.
John Hilbert Stevens
John Hilbert Stevens of Cuba, Missouri was born in Cuba, Missouri
to Claude Hilbert and Lula Martha Burleson Stevens on Monday,
April 1, 1918 and passed away at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in
St. James, Missouri on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the age of
95 years, 2 months and 19 days.
John served his country honorably as an aviation machinist in the
United States Navy during WWII. He worked as a foreman for McDonnell-
Douglas Aircraft, St. Louis, Missouri for 18 years.
John married Helen Ware on October 7, 1995 in Cuba, Missouri.
He was a member of the Delhi Baptist Church and the VFW of Cuba,
Missouri. John was a proud farmer and raised registered black angus
cattle. He liked his coon dogs, which he named. He also, enjoyed
hunting, especially coon hunting and watching the St. Louis
Cardinal’s ball team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lula Stevens;
wife, Helen; sisters, Bertha Cooper and Gladys (Charles) Schwidde.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Gene (Linda) Schwidde of
Frost Proof, Florida, Charles (Gloria) Schwidde of Washington, North
Carolina, Dorothy (Bob) Nichols of Cuba, Missouri and Judy (Stewart)
Quittschau of O’Fallon, Missouri; step daughters, Sandra (Elbert)
Kitchen of Sullivan, Missouri and Vicki (Ron) Licklider of Washington,
Missouri; brother-in-law, Guy Cooper of Cuba, Missouri; six step
grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and funeral
service on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Joe Bruno officiating.
Burial was at the Enloe-Hodge Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri with
full military honors.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home,
Cuba, Missouri.
