FORMER COUNTY OFFICIAL DIES IN HOSPITAL Logan T. Moss, former county official and widely known resident of this county passed away at the Bethcada Hospital in St. Louis following an illness of only a few days. Logan T. Moss was born January 4, 1870, near Steelville, Mo., and departed this life April 26, 1939. Mr. Moss spent his entire life in Crawford County, having taught school for several years. He served at Circuit Clerk of Crawford County for three terms, was Probate Judge one term and Recorder one term, and Deputy Circuit Clerk for three years. He was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Rodgers on September 28, 1904. To this union was born three children, Terry of Springfield, Mo., Daphne and Opal of Steelville. A granddaughter was born since his death. His wife preceded him in death, October 29, 1914. He was married to Sarah G. McMillian on January 18, 1918. There are no children by the last marriage. Besides the son and two daughters, he leaves his wife and two stepsons, George and Charles McMillian and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Pauline Shelton to mourn his passing. Mr. Moss had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for thirty years and had endeavored to live according to the light that God had given him. Rev. Roper, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Steelville paid a glowing tribute to his departed friend when he stated that Logan Moss was a man who made no display of his religion but one who lived it. Three brothers Porter and Lincoln who reside near Cuba and Stanton of Weir, Kansas. Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian Church in Steelville, Saturday, April 29, 1939.
