He was united in marriage to JoAnn Slade. Williams was a member of the Fenton Church of Christ. He retired from Fabick but was a former area manager for Western Auto, owned and operated a Gambles Hardware and had worked for American Bearing Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Daphne Gahr; wife, JoAnn Gahr; sister, Betty (J.G.) Brown; son-in-law, Ed Kuhlmann and grandson, Jeff Kahlmann. Bernice Hayes Bernice Hayes, nee Copling, of Steelville, Missouri was born August 13, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Noah and Rose Warden Copling and passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 21 days. On November 5, 1951 in Salem, Arkansas, she married Virgil Hayes. Bernice attended the United Baptist Church. She always enjoyed working with puzzles and collecting dolls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Rose Copling; her husband, Virgil Hayes  on June 30, 1996; one daughter, Mary Ann McGuire; four brothers, Vernon Copling and wife Marie, Otis Copling, Benjamin Copling and wife Mary Lou and Leroy Copling; six sisters, Artie Eddleman, Arlie Kulman, Hazel Workman, Ida Carrkuff Violet Roth and Vivian Beal. Clifford J. Isgrigg Clifford J.  Isgrigg of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Hamilton Hollow near Sullivan, Missouri on February 19, 1933 to Floyd and Martha (Mercer) Isgrigg and passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the age of 81 years and 16 days. He was a lifelong resident of the Sullivan and Bourbon areas.  He honorably served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. On March 12, 1960 he was united in marriage to Shirley Beers at Sullivan, Missouri and to this marriage a son was born.  Shirley preceded Clifford in death in November of 1994.   On January 6, 2000 he married Patricia Sergent.   Clifford enjoyed woodworking and singing in church.  He worked in the construction trade with John Scott Construction.  Clifford retired in 1973 due to a disability caused by an accident.  He was known as a kind and honest man who was “down to earth”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Martha Isgrigg; his wife, Shirley; a brother, Edward Isgrigg; sister, June Isgrigg, and a brother-in-law, Melvin Halmich. Vera married Arthur “Chick” Jones on September 19, 1953 in Cherryville, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Vera was a member of the Mary and Martha Order of the Eastern Star of Steelville, Missouri. She accepted the Lord early in life while attending a Methodist Church then later the Baptist Church. She retired from the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS) in Steelville, Missouri. Vera enjoyed baking, quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning, playing scrabble, word games, working in her flowerbeds especially geraniums, and was an avid reader. She liked to drive a fast car and play with her cats. Glen Edward Kaemmerer, Sr. Glen Edward Kaemmerer, Sr. of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of O’Fallon, Illinois, was born on Sunday, June 23, 1929 in Belleville, Illinois to Gus and Stella Edwards Kaemmerer and passed away at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 8 days. Glen served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Juanita Batha and to this union two sons were born. Glen farmed for several years in Shiloh, Illinois then operated and owned Kaemmerer Realty in O’Fallon, Illinois for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Stella Kaemmerer; and his wife, Juanita Kaemmerer. King of Sullivan, Missouri was born on June 3, 1940 at Hinch, Missouri to Clark and Alta (McKee) King and passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 28 days. He was a life-long resident of the Sullivan, Missouri area except for five years honorably serving his country with the U.S. Navy.   Melvin served in the Vietnam War era earning the rank of CT1.   On September 20, 1963 he was united in marriage to Sueko Doi in Tokyo, Japan and to this marriage two sons were born.   He was employed for a time with the Meramec Mining Company but later became self-employed establishing the Bobber Truck Stops and restaurants.  Melvin was also a cattleman while operating his businesses and well into his retirement.   Melvin was a member of the Board of Directors of Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital and St. Louis, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Sullivan and of the Crawford Electric Cooperative in Bourbon, Missouri.  He was a life-time member of the Russell Schmidt V.F.W. Post 3987 of Sullivan and a member of Sullivan Lodge 69 A.F.&A.M. and member of the Sullivan Country Club.   He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church of Sullivan where at one time, he was treasurer.  In his free time, Melvin enjoyed hunting and fishing, raising cattle and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Alta King; two brothers, Bruce Farris and Don King; and one sister, Jean LaPlant. He is survived by his wife, Sue of the family home; two sons, Kelly King and wife Mimi of Dallas, Texas, and MC King and wife Wendy of Oswego, New York; one brother, Dennis Farris and wife Margaret of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Taylore, Morgan, Robby, Tommy King and Marissa Raitt-King; his beloved dog, Lady Bug; other relatives and friends. Herbert A. Moeckli Herbert A. Moeckli of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of August and Caroline (Walz) Moeckli on Wednesday, May 5, 1926 in Overland, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 87. Herbert was united in marriage to Juanita Wood on March 22, 1948 and to this union three sons were born William, Martin and Richard. Herbert retired from the Overland Police Department after 27 years of dedicated service, having obtained the rank of Lt. Col. serving as the Assistant Chief. He was a 60 year Mason and Past Master and member of Cuba Lodge #312 A.F. & A.M. and a member of Overland- Occidental Lodge #623 A.F. & A.M. and Cuba United Methodist Church. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, August and Caroline (Walz) Moeckli; two sisters, Marilyn Morris and Evelyn Moeckli. Paula was united in marriage to Gerald E. Rodgers on October 19, 1975 and to this union two sons were born. Paula was a homemaker, taking care of her home and family were the most important part of her life. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, writing poetry and spending time with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rose Dunn; and one brother, Fred “Snooky” Miller. Tucker of Bourbon, Missouri was born on October 21, 1927 in Sheffield, England to Alfred and Elsie (Wright) Card and passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri the age of 86 years, 4 months and 7 days. During WWII, she worked in a war factory in North Hampton, England making parachutes. She came to the United States in 1946 and in 1952 became a U.S. citizen.   In August of 1954 Elsie was united in marriage to Jerry Tucker at Waterloo, Iowa.   Because of Jerry’s career in the military, they had made their home in various parts of the country.   During the Vietnam era Elsie came to live with the Tucker family in Bourbon, Missouri, while Jerry was deployed overseas.  Elsie was a devoted wife and mother, was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed weekend motorcycle trips with Jerry all over the country. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elsie Card; her husband, Jerry; two sons, Jerry L. Tucker and John W. Tucker. She is survived by a son, Michael G. Tucker and wife Ivon of Waverly, Iowa; two daughters, Lynda Larocque and husband David of Forsyth, Missouri, Laura Cartwright and husband Bob of Stanton, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Weber of Newburg, Missouri was born February 26, 1937 at Millstone, Kentucky to Phillip Edward and Martha Ann (nee Hamilton) Hall and passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 77 years. Patricia was united in marriage to Clyde William Weber on December 14, 1967 and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage before Clyde passed away in 2000. Patricia went to work when she was 16 years of age and worked for Paramount, Convy Shoe Supplies and Cuba Shoe before retiring. In 2002 Patricia went back to work as a caregiver, taking care of family and friends and retired again in 2012. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, video poker and of course taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Martha Hall; husband, Clyde Weber; infant daughter, Vickie LaDonna Fulliam; one sister, Edith Briscoe; two brothers, William Hall and infant Phillip E. Hall “Little Buddy”; and one brother-in-law, J.B. Briscoe. John Lenox Watkins John Lenox Watkins of Rolla, Missouri was born on November 6, 1931 in Jefferson, Oklahoma to Asmond Lenox and Margaret Christenson Watkins and passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 23 days. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Hemme on October 29, 1952 in Salem, Arkansas. He served his country for 20 years in the United State Air Force and Army.  He retired from the United States Army in 1981.   He was a member of the VFW in Rolla, Missouri, and a life member of N.R.A. John enjoyed skeet shooting at Fort Leonard Wood, and never missed an opportunity to shoot while Rose was shopping at the commissary.  John was an avid reader and had a great collection of books in his library. He loved the outdoors, and every spring he would plant a garden and enjoyed watching it grow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Asmond and Margaret Watkins; step-mother, Florence Lightfoot Elling Watkins and three step-brothers, Herschel, Wayne and Charles Elling. He is survived by his wife of the home, Rose Marie Hemme Watkins; one son, Brian Lenox Watkins of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Diana Marie Watkins of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Gary worked construction as a dry wall installer. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, weight lifting and MMA boxing.
