CLARENCE CECIL WEST Clarence Cecil West, son of the late James and Martha West was born at Vienna, Mo., on April 5, 1904, and passed away suddenly Thursday, October 2, 1969, at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Blanche Meyers on June 30, 1828. They made their home in St. Louis, Mo., where he was a plaster contractor until two years ago when they moved to Crawford Co. to make their home. He was preceded in death by one brother, James D. West. He leaves to morn his passing his devoted wife, blanche, three sisters, Marie Freivogel, St. Louis, Clara Schemme, Bland, Mo., Viola Shockley, Vienna, Mo., his stepmother, Ethel West, of Ill., 1 step-brother Farrell Salee, of Ill., nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In 1932 he united with the Lafayette Baptist Church where he was a very active member. He became a member of the Steelville Baptist church in 1968. He was a kind and loving husband, brother, uncle, a good neighbor and will be sadly missed by his loved ones. Funeral services were conducted at the Jonas-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, Oct. 3, 1969 at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Geo. Miller officiating. Second service was held Sat. at the Carondelet Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m., St. Louis. Rev. E. N. Rogers officiating. Interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Jonas-Wood Funeral Home.
