Edith White Edith White was born April 30, 1897 and passed away Nov. 20, 1974 at the age of 77 years and 7 months. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. White was the daughter of James M. West and Clara Strauser and was formerly Edith Junkerman until her marriage to James White in 1956. She was known as Edith to her family but was lovingly called “Aunt Idie” by her close friends who looked after her and loved her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her brother, James West, her sister, Mrs. Lucy Bledsoe, 8 nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law and her close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hollingshead. Mrs. White was in state at the Britton Funeral Home in Cuba after 2 p.m. Friday where services were held Sat., Nov. 23, 1974 at 2 p.m. Rev. Gerald Carlin officiating. Sacred songs were sung by Richard Randolph with Mrs. Janet Bruner at the organ. Interment was in Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo.
