Richard Beers

Richard Beers, son of the late John and Mary (Wilhyatt) Beers,
was born March 15, 1880 and died in his home on Route 2, Potosi,
July 3, 1975 at he age of 95 years, 3 months and 18 days.
Mr. Beers was married to Bertha Lee Johnston on December 19, 1909
and she preceded him in death on February 17, 1966.  He was also
preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Beers is survived by eleven children.  Five boys: Arthur,
St. Louis; Don, Route 2, Potosi; Albert, St. Louis; Elmer, Festus
and Everette, Viburnum; six girls: Effie Hutchings, Route2, Potosi;
Lottie Logsden, Route 2, Potosi, Nellie McClain, Route 2, Potosi;
Pearl Coplin, Huzzah; Mildred Welker, Route 2, Potosi; and Edith
Whitehed, St. Louis; one brother, Frank Beers, Leadwood, Mo.; 32
grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren
and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 6, 1975, 11:00 a.m.
at Sparks Funeral Home Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. J. Wesley Thomas 
officiating.  Interment was at Shoal Creek Cemetery, Huzzah, Mo.
under the direction of Sparks Funeral Home of Potosi.
