SERVICES THURSDAY FOR BEN L. WOOD

Benjamin L. Wood, of Berryman, Missouri was born in Iron County on
November 30, 1879, a son of the late William and Virginia Midgett Wood,
and died on April 21, 1975 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital.
He as 95 years of age at the time of his death.
Ben was united in marriae to Julia Jenettie Daugherty on 
November 12, 1922 and to this union one son was born.  Mrs. Wood
preceded her husband in death on November 13, 1945.  Also his son,
Charles William Wood, preceded his father in death on Oct. 1, 1960.
Mr. Wood moved from Iron County around the year 1929 to the Berryman
community, and was living there at the time of his death.  He was a 
member of the Courtois Baptist Church at Berryman for many years and
was care-taker and sexton of the church cemetery for many, many years.
Surviving relatives are a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 24, 1975 2 p.m. at
the Don Sparks Funeral Home, Potosi, with Rev. Clifford Hedrick
officiating.  Interment was in the Courtois Cemetery at Berryman with
Don Sparks Funeral Home, Potosi in charge of all arrangements.
