MATTIE Z. TURNER Mattie Z. Turner, daughter of the late Charles S. Holman and Frances E. Robinson Holman, was born January 9, 1895, in Potosi, Missouri, and passed away September 26, 1982, in Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 87 years. She was united in marriage on May 25, 1918, to Arthur Turner, who preceded her in death on January 20, 1940. She was also preceded in death by her parents, on brother, Ray Holman, two sisters, Helen (Nellie) Hopkins, and Effie Richmond. One nephew Pearn Hopkins and one niece Ruth Newcome. She is survived by four nieces, Marple Zdvorak of St. Louis, Missouri; Opal Issak of Steelville, Missouri; Esther Zimmer of Farmington, Missouri and Alta Moore of St. Louis, Missouri, one nephew Harold Hopkins of Viburnum, Missouri; two sister-in-laws Mrs. Stanley Turner of Caledonia, Missouri and Mrs. Rose Turner, and many other dear relatives and family friends. She professed a faith in Christ, and attended the Belgrade and Viburnum Methodist Churches. She was a loving aunt and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 28, 1982, at 2:00 P.M. in the Spencer Chapel in Viburnum with Rev. Howard Miller officiating. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery, on Route C west of Belgrade. All arrangements were under the direction of the Spencer Funeral Home, Viburnum.
