EARL WILSON CRABTREE Earl Wilson Crabtree was born on January 14, 1909 at Jacksonville, ILL. to the union of Ralph Crabtree and Lynia Crabtree (nee Sitton) and passed away on August 25, 1988 at the St. Luke's West Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 11 days. On April 13, 1943 Earl was inducted into the Army of the United States of America and was honorably discharged on October 16, 1945. Earl was united in marriage to Corda Deen. Corda preceded Earl in death after being married for 33 years. On June 18, 1966 Earl was united in marriage to Geneva Long Hartman. They have had a long and happy marriage. Earl was a member of the Cuba Presbyterian Church and Elder in the Church. Overland Masonic Lodge No. 632, Past Master of the Lodge, Royal Arch Masons No. 138, York Council No. 140, Square Club, Cuba Eastern Star No. 398, President of the Board of North Crawford County Ambulance District, St. Charles Commandery, Knights Templar No. 75 and Treasurer of the Golden Mariners. Earl was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, grandfather, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife, Geneva Crabtree;, son and daughter-in-law Warren and Lee Hartman; daughter Carol J. Hartman; sister Margaret Franabarger; two grandchildren Evie Marie and Josef G. Hartman; other relatives and many friends. Earl Wilson Crabtree was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, MO. where funeral services were held on Sunday, August 28, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Sheldon officiating. Committal prayers and interment were held at Laurel Hills Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. on Monday August 29, 1988, at 11:00 a.m. Masonic services were held on Saturday, August 27, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at the Britton Chapel by the Overland Masonic Lodge No. 623. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home, of Cuba, Missouri.
