Jerry Wayne King was born July 12, 1965 at Fort Polk, Louisiana to Nina King Maples and the late Sylvia "Jack" king. He departed this life July 7, 1992 at the age of 26 years, 11 months and 25 days. Jerry lived all of his life in the Cuba area. He was employed by McGinnis Wood Products as a forklift driver. Jerry always enjoyed working outdoors. He was proud of his children, and close to his family. He was a free spirit and lived life to its fullest. Jerry made a profession of faith at the age of ten and was baptized into the Leasburg Southern Baptist Church on July 11, 1978. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvia "Jack" King. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his two sons, Stephen Dale King and mother, Kathy King, of Sullivan, Justin Wayne King and mother, Vinita Faulkner of Cuba; his fiancee, Stephanie Shepherd; his mother, Nina Maples of Cuba; three sisters, Jackie Walker and husband, Sam of Rolla, Joy McWhorter of Springfield and Penny Wylie and husband, Chester, of St. James; other relatives and friends, all who will sadly miss and fondly remember him. Graveside services for Jerry Wayne King were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 1992 at Kinder Cemetery in Cuba, Mo. Visitation was held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba. Pallbearers for Jerry King were Tom Kent, Sam Walker, Chester Wylie, Henry Lenhardt, Bob Woods, Jimmy Eickhorst, Richard Eickhorst, Stanley Ziegler, Roy Schroeder and Donnie Stewart. All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home of Cuba.
