Joe Dan Strosnider, son of Joe B. and Pauline Andrews Strosnider was born on Sept. 21, 1936 in Alton, Missouri and departed this life on July 10, 1992 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan having attained the age of 55 years, 9 months and 19 days. Joe was a longtime resident of Bourbon where he was employed by McDonnell Douglas and then the Tri County Truck Stop until ill health forced his retirement. He professed his faith in Christ, was baptized and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon, Mo. On Oct. 23, 1954 he was united in marriage to Gail who preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 1976. Surviving him are five daughters, Chris Copling of Bourbon, Pat Copling and husband, Kevin, of Cuba, Paula Sue Missey and husband, Ron, of Cuba, Ellie McAmis and husband, Paul, of Carlyle, Ill., Brenda Pasch and husband, Steve, of Bourbon; two sons, Bill Strosnider of Bourbon and John Strosnider of the family home; his mother, Pauline Rinehart of Bourbon; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Strosnider of Sullivan; a sister, Mary Stotler of Bourbon; two brothers, Jim and Fred Strosnider, both of Bourbon; 15 grandchilren; other relatives and many friends. Besides his spouse he was preceded in death by his father, Joe, and two brothers, Ned and Larry Strosnider. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, 1992 from the First Baptist Church in Bourbon with Pastor Wexford Parmer officiating. Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon. Arrangements were under the direction of Hasseroek's Bourbon Chapel, Bourbon.
