MINNIE M. DINGLEY Minnie M. Dingley was born May 22, 1908, at Belle, Missouri, a daughter of the late Franklin and Amanda Scarlett Mitchell and passed away, December 17, 1993, in the Meramec Nursing Center, Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 5 days. March 22, 1930, Minnie was united in marriage to Paul Obed Dingley and to this union two daughters were born. Paul preceded her in death, February 29, 1978, as did her parents, two brothers, Henry and Willis Mitchell and two sisters, Clara Jarvis and Ella Swagler. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her two devoted daughters, Joy Marie Dingley of Marble Hill, Missouri and Shirley Fay Grayson and husband Glen of Steelville, Missouri; a sister, Amelia Miller of Steelville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lona Halbart and husband Rod of Farmington, Missouri Roger Grayson and wife Kim and Alan Grayson and wife Wanda, all of Steelville, Missouri, and Missy and husband Drew Stubblefield of Cuba, Missouri; thirteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who will remember her as a very loving, unselfish and sharing person (she didn’t care much for cats). She was always smiling and giving out hugs. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took great pleasure in living with Shirley and Glen and caring for the kids while they were at work. Minnie M. Dingley lay in state after 6 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 1993, at the Britton bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 29, 1993, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. John Frazier officiating. Music was provided by members of Midland Assembly of God Church and Pastor Barnett Gilbert. Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Caldwell, Alan Grayson, Roger Grayson, Schoen Grayson, Rod Halbert and Drew Stubblefield. Honorary pallbearers were Adam Grayson, Kyle Grayson and Andy Stubblefied. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
